Gateway Classic Cars of Kansas City is proud to offer a shining example of what made Pontiac successful in 1964, by combining performance and style. For the 1964 and 1965 model years, the GTO was an optional package on the intermediate-sized Pontiac Tempest. The 1964 GTO vehicle identification number (VIN) started with 82, while the 1965 GTO VIN started with 237. The GTO became a separate model from 1966 to 1971 (VIN 242...).
The appearance of our GTO offering is elegance and speed starting with the bright white exterior, white convertible top and contrasting black vinyl interior. The exterior is muscle, complemented by chrome American Racing wrapped in gorgeous Red Lined tires! Plus, the classic GTO badges on each front fender, GTO emblem on the front grill and hood scoops warn the competition that this Pontiac means business! The interior has the look and feel of muscle with the long, sleek metal center console housing the automatic floor shifter, split between the two front bucket seats. Under the hood there is a freshly rebuilt 326 cubic inch V-8, topped with a four-barrel carburetor, paired to a strong shifting Automatic Transmission.
