It also comes with the original light gray cloth seat cushions: according to its current owner, this car is one of only 664 produced in this color combination, and since most 1982 Corvettes were ordered with leather seats, it's a rare bird, indeed. The 1982 Corvette marked the last year of the "C3" (third generation) Corvettes, but it marked the first time in 17 years that Fuel Injection was available on the 'Vette, and the first year for the new 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission, which came with a lower first and second gear for quicker acceleration and a 4th gear overdrive that lowered engine rpm by 30% on the highway. The drivetrain in this '82 'Vette is the 350 CID V8 and transmission that it rolled off the manufacturing line with, and it doesn't take much looking at this car to see that it has stood the test of time through proper care and careful storage. The car has the stock aluminum alloy wheels at all four corners with period correct tires; however, the front brakes have been upgraded with slotted/drilled rotors. Inside this beauty you will find the leather is in great condition, as is the light gray carpet. The audio system has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD head unit.
