Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present one of the nicest 1966 Ford Mustang "Shelby GT350 Tributes" around. Although this black & red beauty started its life off with a 289 CID V8, it has recently been bumped up to a high output, high revving 302 CID V8; which, backed by the crisp shifting 3-speed automatic transmission, makes for some spirited driving. In addition, a Holley Sniper EFI system has been added, along with a big aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan, and finally, electric power steering; so, this bad boy is ready for year-round adventures! Sitting atop the 302 is an Edelbrock "Performer 289" aluminum intake, which is topped by the Sniper fuel injection system that is hiding under the finned aluminum Cobra air cleaner. Matching finned aluminum "Cobra" valve covers further dress up the engine compartment. Additional enhancements under the hood include MSD ignition and Old Air Products R-134a air conditioning. Even the hood scoop is functional! Inside, the red Pony interior pops against the contrasting black & chrome, and the wooden Cobra wheel & retro look Dakota Digital updated gauges finish off the interior styling. All the interior shows as if new, which should be no surprise, because they're only about 4 years old. The seating, carpets & headliner look great, and the audio system sounds great. Even the trunk carpets look as if they were freshly installed. It's quite evident that a great number of man hours was spent on the body and paint work to make this Shelby tribute look so good - obviously, the craftsmen in the body shop took a lot of pride in their work. This bad boy is riding on a killer looking set of 18" aluminum wheels, which are wrapped with a set of low-profile performance radials for surefooted handling and stopping. This GT350 tribute has also been blessed with power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes, with multi-piston calipers up front, and all 4 calipers have been painted to match the red stripes. If you've always wanted a sharp looking, good performing Shelby GT350, but without the 6 (or even7) figure price tag, then this one is just for you!
