Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is pleased to offer this 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport. This brown-on-brown Gran Torino is a true survivor, having been in the same family since it was new. Its original owner, who was in the military, purchased the car in 1972 in California, and took it with him wherever he was stationed. After his passing, his son brought it to Texas from Little Rock, AR, and it has been kept here since. The 351 that it was manufactured with, along with the 3-speed automatic transmission, are unrestored and have not been rebuilt. Both the exterior and interior have been left unrestored, so although they are showing their age a bit, this car is in solid condition for being an unrestored 50-year-old car! The paint is clearly in a natural state of "patina", and the seats and headliner are in good shape for its age, but this car has solid bones, and runs and drives like it should. It's riding on a set of Michelin X radials, size P215/75R14, and they appear to have good tread life left. Additional features and options on this 1972 Gran Torino include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl interior. Give us a ring, and we'll help you get your starter classic today!
