The Chevrolet El Camino is a coupe utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 1959–60 and 1964–1987. Unlike a standard pickup truck, the El Camino was adapted from the standard two-door Chevrolet station wagon platform and integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. The 1970 models received sheet metal revisions that gave the bodies a more squared-up stance, and interiors were also redesigned. The maroon paint has an instant appeal from the unmistakable glow of a modern application. It allows the sunshine to roll evenly across the body. The brightwork is complete on everything from the mirror-like chrome bumpers to the trim that surrounds the truck bed to the color-matched Rally wheels. White always looks terrific against maroon, and so it's great to have upgrades like the painted dual Rally stripes and coordinating grille to give this a proper SS style. The white stripes of the exterior get you ready for the muscle car style of the white interior. The El Camino shares a lot of its appeal with the Chevelle, and that includes the inside, too. The carpeting, dash, headliner, and seat all retain their bright appearance. There's an upgraded AM/FM digital tuner with new speakers. Under the hood is a 350 CID V/8 that is topped with an Edelbrock carburetor and polished air cleaner, long tube headers that go into a dual exhaust, this makes for a solid powerhouse that is the heart of any cruiser. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission with power steering, power brakes, and this sharp-looking El Camino is easy to show off near or far.
