Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to present this legendary 1924 Maxwell Touring. With the first Maxwell being produced in the 1904, founders Jonathan Maxwell and Benjamin Briscoe took their own shot at revolutionizing the auto industry, but the Maxwell-Briscoe company was purchased by the Chrysler Motor Corporation in 1925, ending that dream. In fact, the 1926 Chryslers were essentially four-cylinder Maxwells from the prior year. This 1924 Maxwell Touring really should be part of a museum, but the owner loves to show that this baby can have you riding in vintage style. With the whopping 21hp that its 185 CID I4 produces, combined with its 3-speed manual transmission, you won’t be outrunning the cops anytime soon. Covered in gorgeous maroon paint, and topped with a fresh tan soft top, this is a very attractive combination. The interior features supportive bench seats in a very nice grade of synthetic leather. Come get your hands on this piece of history before it’s too late.
