Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom pleased to present this 1980 Chevrolet El Camino. The El Camino was Chevrolet's answer to Ford's wildly popular Ranchero. Introduced in 1959 and based on the Impala platform, the first El Caminos were larger than the Ranchero, but did not sell as well as the Ranchero and 1st generation production ended just one year later in 1960. However, Chevrolet took another crack at the El Camino 4 years later, and it seems as if the market felt that Chevy got their stuff together, with production of the El Camino running from 1964 all the way to 1987. This 1980 El Camino is painted in a two-tone light brown metallic over beige and has a saddle brown interior with synthetic leather seating. Under the hood is a GM Goodwrench 350 CID V8, which is topped by an Edelbrock 4BBL carb. The interior is in decent shape for a 42-year-old vehicle and has had a tach and AM/FM/Cassette head unit added to it. It rides on a set of P205/70R15 Yokohama radials, which are wrapped around Raceline forged billet aluminum wheels. It comes equipped with Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Tilt Steering Column.
