Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is pleased to present this highly customized 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a two-door coupe that was manufactured and marketed by the Chevrolet division of General Motors. The Monte Carlo was marketed as the first "personal luxury car" of the Chevrolet brand. Introduced for the 1970 model year, the model line was produced across six generations through the 2007 model year, with a hiatus from 1989-1994. The Monte Carlo was a closely aligned variant of the Pontiac Grand Prix through its entire production. This Monte Carlo is powered by a 350 CID V8, which is backed by a GM TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. As one will easily notice, this V8 has some punch to it. One can hear the lope of an aftermarket cam, and the big 4BBL carb on the aluminum intake help make the most of feeding all 8 cylinders. Ignition is enhanced by an MSD HEI distributor and MSD 6AL spark controller. Exhaust is routed through the true dual exhaust via coated headers. Cooling is improved by the addition of a giant aluminum radiator and twin Derale fans. The TH350 trans is shifted by a B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter and sends that twist out back to a set of 3.73:1 gears in the pumpkin. Open the electric exhaust cutouts, and while conversation in the cabin becomes a little more difficult, the music outside is all muscle. Speaking of music, this beast has quite the custom sound system: driven by custom SSL 7" screen head unit, with 10 2- and 3-way speakers mounted inside the cabin, plus the custom dual subwoofer enclosure in the trunk, you can really get the jams pumping. The custom 3-tone interior aligns with the custom black over silver over blue paint job, and provides some unique features, including the ability to remotely control the interior LEDs and put on a light show. The faux suede headliner is a near texture match to the Alcantara dash and door trim, and the high-grade tri-color synthetic leather covering the seats adds some additional pop to the interior. The digital A-pillar-mounted gauges complement the digital dash, providing the driver with plenty of information, plus, they just look cool. This custom sled rides on 22-inch polished U.S. Mag aluminum wheels, which are shod with 235/30ZR22 radials up front, and 245/30ZR22's out back. Additional features and options on this custom 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo include: Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM/CD Radio, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Tilt Steering Wheel.
