Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present this 1990 Chrysler TC by Maserati in red on black.
In the late 80's, Chrysler teamed with Maserati to create a car that would combine the greatness of both brands. The two men in charge of Chrysler and Maserati at the time, Lee Iacocca and Alejandro de Tomaso, were great friends. Both men envisioned a two-passenger luxury grand touring convertible. Maserati would provide image and tuning work, with Chrysler in charge of engineering and sales capabilities. The end-product: The Chrysler TC by Maserati, TC standing for "Turbo Convertible". They would be built in Milan, Italy, from 1989 to 1991.
Some of the nicest TC's produced came equipped with a 16-valve Maserati engineered inline-four, mated to five-speed Getrag manual gearbox, like this 1990 example. Many other models came with a 2.2-liter turbocharged inline-four and a three-speed automatic transmission, or even a Mitsubishi-built 3.0-liter V-6. The TC's all came with a removable hardtop that sported very nice opera windows, plus a manual soft-top. This low milage 1990 TC is in amazing shape, with just under 11,000 miles on the odometer. Indicated by owner as actual milage. Inside and out this TC is something special. A historic collaboration car that drives beautifully and looks real sweet.
