We don't get Javelins or AMX's in very often, and good ones are getting harder to find! This sharp AMC started life as a 290-2 barrel Javelin with column shift automatic, before being morphed a few years back into the tough-looking (and sounding) machine you see here. The owner indicates only 2424 miles have been logged on the upgraded, rebuilt 401 V8 now under the hood. It is backed by a sturdy Tremec 5 speed stick, making this 'lil Javelin a whole lotta fun to drive in town or the highway.
The exterior still looks good, and would not need much to be outstanding. The swapped upgraded hood looks great, with the large aggressive scoop. AMC sure nailed it on the design of these cars; they look good from all angles. Smooth, well-proportioned lines make them look terrific stock or modified, and these cars have ruffled the feathers of many muscle cars over the years- on the streets and dragstrips.
The inside has been tastefully upgraded to a more modern look and feel, and the AM/FM/CD radio, power steering, power brakes, and racing buckets make it a pleasure to drive. Fire this puppy up and it explodes to life with a superb exhaust note... and a cam that'll put a smile on any gearhead's face.
