Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is happy to present this good looking Dearborn, Michigan-built 1973 Mercury Cougar in red & white on white.
Here is a nice classic...very similar to it's cousin the Mustang, at a much lower price. It is a great way to go for someone looking to get into the classic car hobby with a respectful car that has a lot going for it. The owner recently restored & repainted the exterior, and did some interior freshening up. Paint quality is very nice, something you don't get from your typical tape and spray paint shop. The red with white top, chrome Ford wheels and white letter tires look very sporty, and it is fun to drive!
This car was built at the end of February to early March 1973, and came with 11 factory options to the tune of a $4853.96 retail. The 351 Cleveland 2Bbl was standard, and give more than enough power to give it the muscle care feel. Factory options included radial tires, convenience group, power steering, tilt steering wheel, power drivers seat, front horizontal rub strips, air conditioning, AM/FM Stereo, body side moldings, power windows and appearance protection group.
Hit the switch and the power top drops to its waiting position, which gives you a great look at the interior. The interior looks good and appears to have newer seat coverings, which with a little effort could fit superbly. The owner restored the not yet available door panels, so overall, the interior is looking good and is very comfortable. Power windows make it easy to drop the glass for maximum thumbs up as you cruise down the road. It is a pretty car and very easy to drive!
