Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this Classy 1938 Pontiac Silver Streak. Silver Streaks gave the Pontiac line a measure of distinction during the many years. Besides the Streaks, Pontiac also had eight-cylinder motors offered on some of its models whereas Chevrolet only had sixes. The Silver Streak motif usually consisted of a set of parallel chromed ribs running along the hood, from front to rear and a similar set running down the center of the trunk. The initial 1935 version had the streaks cascading down over the grille, with no streaks at all at the rear of the car. This ornamentation recognition device proved highly successful, which was why it was retained for so many years.
This Elegant 1938 Pontiac Silver Streak is finished in medium gray which coordinates well with the gray cloth interior. The body is extremely solid and presents very well. The dash is a work of art and the gauges are in great shape. The seats and seat covers are in especially good condition as well, with gorgeous surfaces and a plush feel. Moreover, it has the 239 CID flathead 6 cylinder engine, tied to a 3-speed manual transmission on the column. Other options include: AM radio, spare tire, hub caps and wide white wall bias ply tires.
