Gateway classic cars of Detroit is proud to present this 1979 Corvette. The Corvette is as American as apple pie. With over 60 years of production and eight design changes the Corvette has withstood the test of time. In 1953 the first Corvette rolled off the assembly line becoming the most popular sports car in history. This particular vette is finished in a classic white paint on the exterior, with a light tan leather interior, making this one stand out from the typical color combinations. The new lightweight "high back" seats for the 1979 model year were made standard equipment. The new seats had better side bolster, provided easier access to the rear storage area, and the seat pair resulted in a weight reduction of about 24 pounds. Powering this c3 is a 350ci V8 and is backed by a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The current owner has kept up on maintenance with: rebuilt carb, recent full tune up with fluid changes, newer tires, water pump, power steering pump, engine mounts along with some cosmetics such as badging and center caps. The brakes have been upgraded with stainless steel calipers. The A/C has been converted to a R134a system, and a true dual exhaust system.
Extras with the car include T-top covers, extra center caps, original keys, owners manual, car cover, and the original parts that have been replaced if you would like to have them.
Don't pass up your chance to own this c3 corvette that has been well taken care of and looks just as beautiful as it drives!
