Custom WheelsGateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this 1974 Jeep CJ5. Under the hood sits a 360 cubic inch V8 with roughly 2000 miles since a full rebuild was completed. A restoration was done on the jeep about 10 years ago, including a fresh repaint. A 3-speed manual transmission sits behind the massive V8. Helping the engine breath is a set of long tube headers into a set of glasspack mufflers. A 4-barrel carb sits on top and is complemented by an HEI distributor. The braking system was overhauled about 5 years ago, including new shoes on all 4 corners and stainless steel flex lines to keep braking pressure consistent. A new radiator and cooling fans have been recently installed, as well as a newer alternator. All of this is sitting on top of a 4' lift kit and 35" Mickey Thompson off road tires and Rare Classic Lock rims. The vehicle includes soft doors, a soft convertible top and frame, and a bikini top.
