Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to display this stunning 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. This Super Bee is packing quite a punch, thanks to its 440 cubic inch V8 topped with the factory options Six-Pack carburetor setup. Introduced as a mid-year addition to the lineup, the 440 Six-Pack was factory rated at a respectable 390hp and an earth-turning 490ft-lbs of torque. More than enough to make your head spin! Though originally a 440 Six-Pack, the engine, transmission, and rear axle are not original to the car. They are all period correct and create a very authentic driving experience. The 440 was bored to a 493 cubic inch V8 and a peppier camshaft was added to increase total power.
The chassis received a rotisserie restoration circa 2018 and the engine was built by Lewis Racing Engines. No bolt was left unturned, and a USB drive containing photos of the restoration are included with the sale, as well as the original build sheet and original owners manual. This Super Bee has lived a lot of lives from being Dealership fresh, to seeing several passes down the drag strip (as proven by the stickers in the trunk), to sitting for several years, then finally having a thorough restoration. It’s ready to find itself in your collection and to hit the streets to show these newer cars who the real boss is.
