1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this monstrous 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. Many Chevelle owners may brag about their 383, 396, or even 454 tucked under the hood. Some even brag about their massive 502 crate engine. This red rocket trumps them all with a massive 572 cubic inch V8 making a dyno-proven 700+ horsepower to the rear wheels. An upgraded TH400 3-speed automatic transmission handles the gear shifting and a Moser 9" rear housing holding a Truetrac Posi Traction carrier and 3.90 gears. Name brand parts are generously sprinkled throughout this build; Holley Sniper EFI, Lemon Headers, Viking coilovers all around, UMI performance chassis components, and Billet Specialties wheels.

The body of the Chevelle has been kept original with no overdone hood scoops, no massive fender flares, and no unnecessary spoilers. A slick, clean, red paint job was laid down with black SS stripes to give some depth to the color. Inside the red carries over for a less common look than the typical black seen on most Chevelles. The Sniper EFI controller sits proud on the steering column giving any necessary data to the driver. Turn the key and the huge Big Block Chevy V8 turns over quickly, eager to start shredding rubber. A recent appraisal values the Chevelle at $100,000, and the seller has more than that into the build!
