Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to digitally present this 1969 Chevrolet C10 Pickup.
Starting in the model year 1967, General Motors introduced a new design of their truck line. This new line came with the nickname "Action Line." This new C/K line of trucks added modern conveniences to a previously built truck for work purposes. One significant change GM made was independent front suspension allowing this truck to ride and handle more like a car than a truck at the time. In 1969 a new grille was also introduced, along with a more upright hood for the Chevrolet and GMC truck models.
Although this truck has that classic old-school look, further inspection will reveal much more. This silver beauty no longer resides on 53-year-old chassis. There is very little of anything 53 years old on this truck. Underneath all that shiny silver sheet metal is the complete chassis and drivetrain out of a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The fuel-injected, inline six-cylinder is a 4.2-liter engine with 275 horsepower and runs very nicely. Mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, you will appreciate driving past a few different gas stations in your travels.
