Like the Bug, the VW Thing had the engine mounted in the rear, so the primary function of the front end of the car, besides carrying the spare tire and the gas tank, was serving as a trunk. This Thing has a 1.6L I4 mated to a 4 Speed Manual Transmission. It's easy to take off all four doors in minutes, throw down the convertible top, fold down the front windshield, and have an instant Dune Buggy on your hands. Finished in orange with a white vinyl interior. This Thing is just waiting for some one to take it out and enjoy the ride again.
