Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent unique patina 1939 Ford Pickup! Styling for the '39 model resembled that of the '38 model and continued the look of Ford's new Deluxe styled line of vehicles. Though it looked little different than its '38 counterpart, the 1939 Ford models boasted the unseen advantage of hydraulic brakes for the first time in production history. Virtually all Ford's competitors had made the switch years before, and though Henry didn't trust the new systems, their absence on Ford vehicles was considered a safety detriment.
This particular 1939 Ford Pickup has many performance and handling upgrades, original paint and patina, and is an absolute blast to drive... you should hear how it sounds! Powering this '39 is a crate 302ci V8 backed by a recently rebuilt automatic transmission. Finished in its original paint and patina over a green cloth interior, photos can be provided of the vehicle before the build started. Additional upgrades include: Mustang II front end with full coil over suspension, Ford 9 inch rear end, and disc brakes all around! Additional features include aluminum wheels, power brakes, and power steering. If you are in the market for an old style pickup that puts the power down and handles like a modern sportscar, this 1939 Ford Pickup is for you!
