1932 Ford Coupe

1932 Ford Coupe

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,247 ( since rebuilt )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe. This hot rod was very carefully built to be as accurate as possible to a hot rod from back int he good ole days, 1957 specifically. Going with the 1957 hot rod theme, the car is powered by a period correct Corvette 283. The stout 283 is backed by a 1939 Ford 3 speed manual transmission and a 1940 Ford rear end housing 4.10 gears. The frame is an original 1932 as is the metal gas tank and radiator shell. The body is from Outlaw and features an original firewall appearance. Topping the 283 is an original 1947 Cadillac air cleaner. The exhaust has been Jet Coated in black from the manifolds all the way back to the exhaust tips. The build looks as if the car was sent to us from the past via a time machine. Painted in a high gloss black with the red frame exposed and matched by the red steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and white wall tires(radials). The exposed engine bay also adds to the vintage hot rod theme. Don't be confused with builds of today. This one is no frills and all thrills. No A/C or power steering, this is a hot rod! It is also a proven show winner. It took Street Rodder Top 10 at Goodguys and received the Magnum Axle/ Real Hot Rod award from Goodguys. There's no question that the intended vintage hot rod theme was executed with precision. License plates shown on the car are not included. 1933 Plymouth Tudor

Engine: ZZ4 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 67,961 ( actual )

This award-winning steel-body (fiberglass fenders) 1933 Plymouth Tudor is now for sale and viewing at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom. If you've traveled the classic car show circuit, you may have run into this 1933 Plymouth at some point in time. The present owner bought it in 2011 Sugarland, Texas where it was built, but before that time and thereafter it has been entered and won many awards for its build and beauty. Even though her current body finish is closing on at being at least a decade old, the Vanilla Ice paint on the all-steel body (fiberglass finders) is still holding and showing very well. There are no unsightly chips, scratches, or dents anywhere on the exterior. The suicide doors open and close tight, and the widows roll up and down smoothly. The interior is composed of a dark plum, that is borderline purple and is color-coordinated with the wire coverings inside the engine compartment and the fancy decor on the outer-body. The woodgrain dash alongside the plum vinyl and fabric gives this 1933 Plymouth Tudor a classic look and feel. It is very clean on the inside and does not have any noticeable stains, tears, or odors. Underneath the hood is a 350 Chevrolet ZZ4 engine with 355 Horsepower. It also has a HEI distributor, GM performance dual plain intake, aluminum heads, and a camshaft hydraulic roller. 1933 Ford Sedan Delivery

1933 Ford Sedan Delivery

Engine: 350 CID V8 LT1
Transmission: Turbo 350
Mileage: 23,036 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an extremely interesting and well built 1933 Ford Sedan Delivery street rod. Finished in stunning red with wide white wall tires at first glance this may look like a standard '33, but look closer and you'll see nearly every part has been customized. The body is a all steel and was 1 of under 2,000 Sedan Deliverys made in '33. The paint is Ferrari Testarossa Red and has been beautifully applied. You'll notice the advertisement for "Mortland's Auto Body" on the side, and that's the shop that took care of the paint for this '33. The lettering is real gold leaf and may contain a small fortune right there on the side of the truck. The front windshield is functional and tilts out for nice ventilation. In addition, all glass is amber tinted safety glass. The rear mounted exterior trunk is a nice classic touch, but if it is not your style, the trunk and bracket can be easily removed. The chrome wire wheels are a great look especially with the new set of Coker Classic wide white wall tires. The beating heart of this '33 is a 1970 LT-1 350 CID V8 which is rated at 370 BHP. The engine was overhauled in 2006 and since has traveled just over 23,000 miles. Of course the power plant is dressed up with all the goodies: Endurashine carburetor, custom valve covers, chrome lines and fittings, and custom air cleaner. Backing the 350 is a Turbo Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission which runs to an 8" Ford rear end with 2.73 final drive ratio. This Ford was set up to drive across the country and has done just that a few times. Inside you'll be nice and comfortable sitting on front leather bucket seats. Crank up the stereo and the Vintage Air A/C unit and arrive in style and comfort. The dash is well laid out with everything you'll need including gauges by Classic Instruments, custom machined dash panels, and a very nifty steering wheel. Mounted to a tilt column, the Flaming River billet steering wheel can be removed without any tools as a simple yet effective theft deterrent. The rear section of the truck has been nicely upholstered with storage in the floor which includes a hidden spare wheel. This street rod is sure to stand out among the simpler builds and is already a multi-trophy winner. The best part is how well documented the vehicle has been since being restored. Engine specs, suspension details, brake details, even right down to gaskets and hoses used have all been recorded so the new owner can keep this rod maintained without all the guess work. The Sedan Delivery was very well thought out and really must be seen to appreciate. You can view this Ford in greater detail, including HD video, at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please call 618-271-3000 with any questions.

Mileage: 676 ( undocumented )

We are thrilled to offer for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Saint Louis showroom is this 1936 Ford Tudor. This beautiful street rod has covered a modest 1,600 miles since its full frame off restoration last year. The restoration started as well as anyone can ask for, a rust free body. This one is all original steel, no fiberglass on this one! Prior to the restoration, the car had been stored in a garage since 1946 with an original 27,000 miles! Other upgrades and street rod themed parts include power four wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C system, new front and rear suspension, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, 700 R4 overdrive automatic transmission, tilt steering column, digital gauges, all new glass, new top, Walker radiator, new high end interior by Sew Fine Interiors of St. Louis and of course wheels and tires. The wheel and tire combo are 17 inch up front and 20 inch out back for a great staggered look. The bumpers were all rechromed and the paint is PPG base/clear Dark Purple Pearl. This '36 Ford is very well built and ready to impress! Call our St. Louis showroom for more information or swing by for an up close viewing. 1937 Ford Phaeton

1937 Ford Phaeton

Engine: Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 17,947 ( undocumented )

We are excited to offer for sale in our Saint Louis Showroom is a classic 1937 Ford Pheaton. This 37’ Pheaton is powered by a Flathead V8 engine, which is believed to be original to the car, as is the 3 speed manual transmission that transfers the power to the pavement. This 37’ Ford Pheaton is finished in a dark blue exterior paint. The saddle brown leather interior creates a wonderful color combination against the dark blue paint and light brown cloth convertible top. The odometer reads 17,947, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1937 Ford Pheaton include: AM Radio (inoperable), Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, Hub Caps, and Wide White Wall Radial Tires. The Phaeton body style differs from a convertible in that it does not have a winding or sliding windows in the doors nor does it have a permanent, fixed roof. Due to the lack of a rigid or fixed roof, the Phaeton was much lighter than a convertible. The Phaeton body style was faded out after the convertible style became much more popular with its ability to be driven in all types of weather. The last Phaeton to be mass produced by an American manufacturer was the 1948 Willys-Overland Jeepster. This Ford Pheaton represents a factory style restoration, and would be a welcomed addition to any collection. It is a great car for a parade caravan or a nice leisurely stroll down a friendly street. Engine: 4.3L V6
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 803 ( undocumented )

The Gateway Classic Cars Showroom is super excited to present to you this 1947 Jeep Willy that has been customized into a Jeep Surrey Gala Jeep tribute. BACKGROUND: The Surrey Gala Package, produced from 1959 to 1964, was based off the DJ-3A Dispatcher (a flat fender jeep). The DJ-3A was originally used as a postal truck with the US Postal Service until 1959 when the contract ended. The surplus Jeeps and parts were then used to produce the Surrey Galas. Shortly after Henry Kaiser bought Willys-Overland he retired to Hawaii where he owned several businesses including a 1100-room Hawaiian Village Hotel that he later sold to Conrad Hilton and a car rental agency. The car rental agency offered the Surrey Gala Jeeps as a cheap runabout vehicle for resorts and a delivery vehicle for small shops in Hawaii and the Caribbean as well. The Surrey Gala Jeeps came in a two-tone color option. (Pink) tropical Mist/Coral & Glacier White, Cerulean Blue/Glacier White, and Jade Tint Green/Glacier White. It is even said that Elvis owned a pink Surrey Gala which is displayed at Graceland. He bought it shortly after returning from a stint in the army in 1960, it was on the set of his first film G.I. Blues and in the film Fun in Acapulco (1963). Other movies the Surrey Gala Jeep was featured in: The Ambushers (1967), Move Over, Darling (1963), Ride the Wild Surf (1964), Jerry Lewis’s The Nutty Professor (1963), and the television show Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. From 1959 to 1964, a little over 1000 Surrey Gala Packages were produced, until 1965, when the DJ-5 was introduced, the model most widely recognized as the “postal jeep”, which continued production through the early 1970s. After full restoration with modernizations in 2006, this classic has only accumulated 21,484 miles. This Generation drew heavily from the Futuramic styling concept that would be used on all 1949 Oldsmobiles. It also comes equipped with 11-inch drilled and slotted Power Disk Brakes, Auto Meter Gauges, three-inch stainless-steel exhaust cut through the bumpers, and turn signals also set in the bumper guards. This particular MG YT fires right up and purrs just like a kitten. It runs and drives very well and is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy it as often as desired. It is utilizing the same engine as the TC, a 1250cc 4 cylinder, but with a higher compression and two 1 BBL carburetors producing 54.4 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque. The independent front suspension setup features unequal length A-arms and coil springs to provide valuable feedback to the driver. 1951 Chevrolet 3100

1951 Chevrolet 3100

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: TH350
Mileage: 3,766 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a cool little 1951 Chevrolet 3100. This is a great shop truck, or daily driver. The body is a little rough around the edges and is finished in Hot Rod Gray which mimics the look of primer. Once you see the pinstriping you’ll realize this is all part of the look, and certainly is appealing on an old truck. Though it’s an old truck on the outside, underneath it’s been modernized quite a bit. The front suspension has been upgraded with that of a Pontiac LeMans which rides much better than the original. For power, it has a 350 CID V8 small block under the hood and a reliable TH350 transmission. The rear ratio is unknown but is more of a cruising gear, or highway gear for gas sipping travel. Inside you have the comfort of bucket seats, a tilt column, updated gauges, electric wipers, and “Early Air” which is the fresh air vent which comes in through the cowl. Completing the old school look on the outside are Keystone wheels, and a rad exhaust which exits through the fender. This truck runs, drives, and cruises down the road very comfortably. It has been used for multiple 5 hour weekend trips, and is ready for more. Whether you’re gearing up for the Hot Rod Power Tour, or just want a cool daily driver, this truck is a great fit. You can see this 1951 Chevrolet 3100 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

1952 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window

1952 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window

Engine: 216 CID Inline 6 Cylinder
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 95,073 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a wonderfully restored 1952 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window Pickup. This old Chevy Pickup began its life as a farm truck. Back in those days you had to identify your truck with a company logo for hauling purposes, so this 52’ 3100 was emblazed with a family farm logo until it was restored. The two-year frame off restoration was completed in 1997 and the truck has traveled less than 100 miles since then. Used mostly for parades and short trips around a small Missouri town, this truck has seen a life of luxury in the last 20 years. It is believed to be a 2-owner truck and believed to have the original drivetrain still in place. The 216 CD inline six-cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission were completely checked over, were still in very good working order, and were not rebuilt at the time of the restoration simply because they didn’t need to be. They sure don’t make’em like they used to. The red, single stage, exterior paint looks great, and shows that the restoration was a quality one. The interior still looks new, with little to no signs of wear. The odometer reads 95,073, the actual mileage is unknown, and there are about 100 miles on the frame off restoration. Options for this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 include: Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps, and Bias Ply Tires. Getting behind the wheel of this old farm truck and shifting gears via the 3-on-the-tree, takes you back to 1952, and a simpler time. This 52’ 5 Window could be used in many different forms, a local show truck, an advertisement piece for a small business, or just a nice cruiser on a lazy Sunday afternoon. To view this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis showroom.
