Tribute Truck Auction

Cars and Coffee

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is proud to feature this one of a kind tribute to Vietnam Veterans all over the country. As a disabled Vietnam Vet himself, Michael Andrezzi couldn’t sleep one night and came up with the idea for the tribute truck. He purchased the 1946 Chevy Rat Rod in 2014 and has been showing off the truck all over the Northeastern region. Michael has a sign displayed by his truck, inviting other Vietnam Veterans to sign the truck and tailgate in honor of fallen brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of the American people. The Rat Rod has been all over the country and already has thousands of signatures from other Vietnam Veterans.

The 1946 Chevy has been showcased by the Right Coast Car Association, Gateway Classic Cars, Syracuse VA Medical Center, National Street Road Association, Marine Corps Toys for Tots and other Veteran organizations committed to “Never Forget” our fallen heroes. According to the Vietnam Tribute Truck’s very own Facebook page, “It has been a blessing for the families who have had the pleasure to share the joy and hardships and the memories of the journey.”

All along, this Tribute Truck has had one goal; to improve the quality of life for members of our military, retirees, veterans and their families. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this truck will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation. The Foundation builds comfortable homes at military and VA medical centers, then gifts them to the government. It has a superb rating of 100 out of 100 by Charity Navigator and Stars and Stripes reported that 91% of Fisher House expenses went directly to free lodging for military families. This allows military families to be close to loved ones during an illness or medical treatment. The group operates 67 locations and served about 25,000 families in 2014. These are impressive numbers indeed!
