1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle Replica

1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle Replica

Engine: 2.3 inline 4 cylinder
Transmission: 4-Speed
Mileage: 6,522 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK Gazelle Replica. This Gazelle is finished in a unique gray over red color combination, and features black vinyl interior. Powering this 29’ Mercedes is a Ford 2.3L inline 4 cylinder engine. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the pavement. A Mustang II front end, including disc brakes, helps this Mercedes handle like a dream. Options for this 1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK Gazelle Replica include: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Manual Convertible Top, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche (the last car he designed for Mercedes Benz before founding his own company) and assembled in Bremen, German, the Mercedes Benz SSK was manufactured between 1928 and 1932. SSK is an abbreviation for Super Sport Kurz which is German for Super Sport Short, since it was the short wheelbase development for the earlier Mercedes Benz S. The SSK was a highly sought after car then for its extreme performance and plentiful competitive successes, and even more now due to the fact that fewer than 40 were built during its production run. Nearly half of those were sold as Rennwagen (racing cars), and were subsequently crashed and cannibalized for parts. Only 4 to 5 entirely original models are believed to remain, and one was sold at auction in September 2004 for a whopping $7.4 million. Although it has a smaller power plant as the original SSK, it does have the same classic styling cues and at a fraction of the cost. Put the top down, drive to a local show or for a long cruise on some old black top back roads. Either way you will be inundated with onlookers wanting know more about your classic ride. Mileage: 352 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1947 MG TC. This car will give you the full experience of fine British motoring. The tan interior and British exterior shows how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is a fully restored and in original condition with the original engine and only has 352 miles since the rebuild. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Call our Showroom and we can provide the info that is available with this beautifully restored TC. The TC was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite like the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200 rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include: Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top. Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,946 ( undocumented )

The YT utilizing the same engine as the TC, a 1250cc 4 cylinder, but with a higher compression and two 1 BBL carburetors producing 54.4 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque. The MG YT cars used rack and pinion steering, which was a rarely seen option for a car in America at the time. The independent front suspension setup features unequal length A-arms and coil springs to provide valuable feedback to the driver. Also standard were drum brakes and 16 inch wheels on all four corners. The chassis on the YT utilized a steel ladder frame, it was often and incorrectly said to be made of wood. What was made of wood, most of which was oak, was the framework on which the bodywork was hung. This YT body is finished in light beige with metallic brown fenders, and a dark brown cloth convertible top. The exterior color combination beautifully matches the beige leather interior with dark brown piping throughout. The odometer reads 1,946, but the actual mileage is unknown. 1954 Jaguar XK120

1954 Jaguar XK120

Engine: 3.4L Inline 6
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 63,092 ( undocumented )

With a professional restoration meticulously finished in 2012, this 1954 Jaguar XK120 Drop Head convertible is truly a sight to behold. The XK120 was the fastest production car of its day and was a strong competitor on race day winning a few 24-hour endurance races including Mt. Druitt in Australia back in 1954. The “120” represented the top speed right from the factory. This XK120 is in excellent shape and has had a few minor upgrades bringing it up to date and making it an excellent driver’s car including converting the electrical system to 12 volt from 6 volt, an electronic ignition, electric fan for optimal cooling, and a tremec 5-speed manual transmission adding synchros in all gears and an overdrive gear. These upgrades do not take away from the original looks of the car but increase the drivability dramatically. Redone just this last year in 2017 included the top end of the engine rebuilt with new valve seats for pump gas, rebuilt SU carburetors, rebuilt brake cylinders on all corners, new plugs and wires installed, and in 2018 the interior was reupholstered, and the paint was ceramic coated for ease of cleaning. This Jaguar is a stunning car both to drive and admire and would make the perfect addition to a collection or dream car for a Jaguar enthusiast. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1954 Jaguar XK120 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1955 Volkswagen Beetle

1955 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 6,991 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is honored to offer this 1955 Volkswagen Beetle. Volkswagen Beetle’s are one of the most recognized cars in the world, and this 1955 VW Beetle will be recognized more than most. When purchasing a classic car, it always helps when the vehicle has had a long-term owner. History is everything when it comes to dealing with these cars. This “Bug” was a one owner vehicle for 30 years, which means it comes with extensive knowledge. In 2014, it was fully restored with the original body being placed on a 1975 pan. The car shows no rust, which Volkswagens were notorious for. Along with the new restoration, Teal paint was applied. Inside you’ll find newer grey cloth interior accented by green LED interior lights. This isn’t your typical ‘55 VW Beetle “Oval.” Roll the windows down, crank up the sound system, and you can be the life of the party. The system omits a booming 600 watts that will make the average “Shore Blvd” seem like the happening spot. If it gets too hot, turn on the frigid A/C and cool off. When it comes to customizing a vehicle, stance places a big role. What type of persona do you want the car to present? Judging by the stance put forth by the IRS suspension, this car oozes coolness. This car will not only be a local legend, it already has appeared in several magazine articles. With only 20,000 miles since being restored 5 years ago, there is a long life ahead of this car. You can jump on the highway and take a cross country trip in this car, especially with the highway gears it has in it which came out of a Super Beetle. Don’t worry about stopping either. This 55 Beetle is sporting disc brakes all the way around. Options include A/C, AM/FM CD Radio, Power Windows, Seat Belts, 17’’ Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Spare Tire. This 1955 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1957 Austin Healey 100

1957 Austin Healey 100

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 343 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1957 Austin Healey. The 57 Austin Healey was a new and sleeker model which us Americans absolutely loved. The only problem with these little 2 seaters was the underpowered engine. This 57 Austin has addressed that problem in a huge way. Gone is the inadequate 6-cylinder engine and in its place, is 375 HP 350 cubic inch piece of American muscle. Pulled from an 86 Corvette and completely gone through, this small block is right. The TPI ignition was pulled and in its place, is a dual quad setup that not only performs but looks good while doing it. The paint and body work on the car is extremely clean and shows extremely well. The brightwork is a nice contrast against the white paint and gives the car a very finished look. Peek inside in the cockpit and the black interior is just as clean. The buckets upfront are period correct and look right at home. The shifter is in the original spot and looks like a 4 speed but is an automatic. Yes, that’s right the shifter is hooked up to a built TH400 making this car an absolute pleasure to drive. Just simply hit the gas and hold on. Granted you may need to keep it pointed straight but you get the idea. With its striking good looks and amazing drivetrain this little Austin is sure to make a great show piece or a weekend driver Options on this 1957 Austin Healey include, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Wire Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1957 Austin Healey for sale is in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. The disc brake conversion on this car is able to round off the build, making it an excellent driving machine! The first version, announced at the end of June, 1961, was essentially a slightly more expensive badge-engineered version of the MkII Austin-Healey Sprite. The original 'frogeye' Sprite had been introduced specifically to fill the gap in the market left by the end of production of the MG T-type Midget as its replacement, the MGA had been a significantly larger and more expensive car with greater performance. Mechanically the car was identical to its Austin-Healey counterpart, retaining the rear suspension using quarter-elliptic leaf springs and trailing arms from the 'frogeye'. Brakes were 7-inch drums all round. A hard top, heater, radio and luggage rack were available as factory-fitted extras. In October, 1962, the engine was increased to 1098 cc, raising the output to 56 HP 62 lb⋅ft, and disc brakes replaced the drums at the front. Wire spoked wheels became available. The doors had no external handles or locks and the windows were sliding Perspex side-screens. 1963 Volkswagen Beetle

1963 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1300cc Air Cooled 4-Cylinder
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 57,783 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer to our world-wide customer-base this really nice 1963 Volkswagen Beetle "ragtop". This is the vernacular that VW enthusiasts use when referencing a Beetle sedan with a partial moveable soft top that can be opened or closed manually. This little cutie is a dependable driver that the new owner can have a lot of fun in. The colors on this two-tone Bug are authentic VW colors for the era, it's just that all were solid colors. The two-tone on this car looks like the factory should have done them this way; it really highlights the classic lines of this final-year-for-the-ragtop Beetle. It still has the six-volt electrical system, adequate for a car that has no options at all. This is why these cars were, and continue to be, very popular. They're easy to fix and are virtually indestructible. This one's ready to go and will give you many "smiles per gallon". Don't miss this one as someone is bound to buy it before you if you hesitate. Remember yesterdays thinkers are todays buyers. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this cool 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.
