For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an original, very low mile 1954 MG TF. Amazingly this MG is believed to be a true survivor, original engine and transmission and original paint and interior. Also the mileage is believed to actual and super low at 36,224! The original black exterior paint does show some of it age, but considering it is over 60 years, I'd say it looks pretty darn good. The red leather interior also looks very good considering it is believed to be original and 63 years young. The MG T series was an open 2-seater sports car that was produced by MG from 1936 to 1955. It spanned 5 generations, TA, TB, TC, TD, and TF. The MG TF succeeded the TD, and debuted in October 1953. It utilized the TD Mark II engine with extra-large valves, bigger carburetors, stronger valve springs, and an increased compression ratio of 8.1:1, which increased the horsepower to 57.5 at 5,500 RPM. The last TF was rolled off the line on April 4th, 1955. A total of 9,602 were produced in the almost 2 year production run. The MG TF was replaced by the MGA. Options for this 1954 MG TF include: Bias Ply Tires, Wire Wheels, Manual Convertible Top, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Manual and Electric Windshield Wipers. Sitting in the cockpit of the British engineered sports car, with its original upholstery, brings waves of nostalgic vibes to the mind. The smell, feel, and appearance of everything takes you back to 1954, and a much simpler time. This is a rare opportunity to own an original piece of automotive history, don't be afraid to jump right in!
