For sale in our Orlando showroom is this beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Corvette. The early C2 Corvette was the beginning of what most consider the golden era of America's sports car. The totally redesigned C2 Corvette was new from the ground up. It even had a catchy new name, Stingray, named after the groundbreaking concept car that Zora Duntov had introduced just a year earlier which the C2 Corvette would take many of its styling cues from. The biggest mechanical redesign was the rear end. Only because Duntov convinced GM that it would sell 30,000 cars the new Corvette would sport an independent rear suspension. This was absolutely groundbreaking in the early 60s. Affordable performance was always what the Corvette represented and this 64 is a perfect example of that. This great driver example of a second year C2 comes to us off a 2002 restoration that has held up very well and still shows great to this day. Used as just a weekend and cruise in driver the brilliant red paint still pops with vibrancy! Tying up the sharp paint job are American Racing Wheels that make this Vette really stand out. More than just a looker, this Stingray is equipped with a high performance ZZ4 350 V8 engine, making her peppy and an absolute blast to drive. The vinyl interior still shows very well and is welcoming to all who dare pilot this land rocket. The power brakes bring this car to a stop with authority and control. Options include AC, AM/FM/CD stereo, manual top, power brakes, power steering, vinyl interior and racing wheels wrapped in radial tires. This convertible is ready for her new home and will certainly add value to any collection.
