1919 Dodge Coupe

Engine:
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 23,790 ( undocumented )

This vehicle is approaching 100 years old, and now for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom is an antique 1919 Dodge Coupe. This numbers-matching, highly-original beacon of American automotive history is more than just a car. It serves as a reference to where we came from, how far we’ve come, and where we have left to go. The body is decked in a beautiful blue paint job that would do the Dodge Brothers, who both passed away in 1920, incredibly proud; the wire wheels are coated in cream white, with black body accents all over, and wood highlights on the running boards. The vehicle pays homage to the founders of one of the greatest companies American motoring has ever seen. Driving this Dodge makes you feel like you’ve been catapulted back in time further than you thought a car could take you. The passenger seat was designed to sit further back than the driver’s, so that women’s dresses from the era would not interfere with shifting. In order to allow easier entrance into the vehicle, it was equipped with the “fat-man steering wheel” which adjusts up and down from the center of wheel, and then locks into place when it’s time to drive. Take this antique for a stroll through the neighborhood or down any back road and you will notice the amount of attention this car grabs. This beautiful antique Dodge is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1919 Dodge Coupe in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving, at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have questions, please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1929 Ford Coupe

Engine: 383 Stroker
Transmission: 350 Automatic
Mileage: 25,703 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this 1929 Ford Coupe. Do you want to be ordinary or extraordinary? If your answer is extraordinary, then you have chosen the right “Hot Rod.” When you think of a “Hot Rod” or “Muscle Car”, the first cars that come to mind are Camaro’s, Mustang’s, Cuda’s, etc. This is none of the above and yet, it’s still one super cool “Hot Rod.” It is a tie for first place when it comes to what catches your attention initially, but one thing is for certain and two things are for sure, your answer will either be the bright yellow paint, or the sound of the mean 383 stroker motor. Whichever one you choose, you won’t be wrong. The yellow paint is bright enough to make you feel like your looking at the sun, which is offset by a beautiful strategically placed flat back hood and black capped roof. The real show stopper of the exterior is the exposed chromed-out engine displaying chrome long tube headers. Just when you thought you thought you had the color combination figured out, another twist appears. Take a look inside and you will find burgundy bucket seats. Talk about extraordinary! Don’t worry about being squished in this coupe either, there’s plenty of room to fit four comfortably. Three’s company, four is a crowd, so load up your friends and family and enjoy cruising this “Sweet” ride. The 350 turbo automatic transmission will allow you to keep a hand free at all times to wave at the onlookers as they acknowledge your ‘29 Ford Coupe. Options include AM/FM Radio, Hub Caps, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires. It’s nice to be part of the in-crowd, but it is even better when you are the cause of the crowd. This 1929 Ford Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1930 Chevrolet Coupe

1930 Chevrolet Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )

This good looking 1930 Chevrolet Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. There are various theories about the origin of the term "hot rod". The common theme is that "hot" related to "hotting up" a car, which means modifying it for greater performance. One theory is that "rod" means roadster, a lightweight 2-door car which was often used as the basis for early hot rods. Another theory is that "rod" refers to camshaft, a part of the engine which was often upgraded in order to increase power output. Under the hood of this good-looking street rod is the Heart Beat of America. That’s right, the most popular V8 engine to be used in a street rod for the last 50 years, a small block Chevy engine. Cubic displacement of the V8 is a nice healthy 350 inches. The V8 is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The two toned green and black goes really well together. The top hasn’t been chopped down, so there is still plenty of head room inside this old Chevy. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats are up front with a matching rear bench seat in the rear. The wood ribs have been left exposed and a little of that work in progress. After all, are Hot Rods really ever done? The dash has been filled with aftermarket gauges and an aftermarket tilt steering column with a woodgrain steering wheel has been added. The current owner has owned this beauty for the last 15 years, he has just decided it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Options for this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe include; Power Brakes, Tilt Steering and Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in Radial tires. For more information on this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe for sale, please call the Louisville showroom at (812) 294 – 1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe. This hot rod was very carefully built to be as accurate as possible to a hot rod from back int he good ole days, 1957 specifically. All original and numbers matching! This well kept coupe looks like it just stepped right out of the showroom as it did 90 years ago. The gray exterior paint was redone over 8 years ago and still looks very nice with minimal blemishes. The stock all-steel body has not been hacked up and is riding along smoothly on a set of steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and wrapped in Coker radial wide white wall tires for extra stability. As you slide on into the interior you can feel the springy bench seat adjust to your weight. Settle in and put the key in the ignition and turn it not to start it, but to unlock the steering column. Flip the switch into the “on” position, push in the clutch, pull the choke while giving it a couple pumps of the accelerator, and hit the button resulting in an almost instantaneous start followed by a smooth purr. The 3-speed standard gear box connected to the flathead V8 makes for a fun and unique driving experience. It is not a high powered hot rod, but it is still just as fun to cruise down the main drag and turn some heads! This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. 1938 Chevrolet Coupe

1938 Chevrolet Coupe

Engine: 6.2 L LS3 V8
Transmission: 6-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 1,192 ( since rebuilt )

Freshly-minted and now for sale in our Houston showroom is this spectacular all-steel 1938 Chevrolet Coupe. Cloaked in a stellar Porsche Guards Red PPG finish, this is one for all ages. The restoration started with the steel body shell, and a Superior Glass Works Chassis, with fully boxed steel frame rails. Everything was taken to bare metal before any finish work was begun. A new LS3 crate motor was installed, with a FAST intake and FAST fuel rails. A set of coated shorty headers and a full stainless 2.5” exhaust setup, complete with stainless X-pipe, scavenges the spent fuel to the rear with a throaty burble. To the aft of the beefy powerplant, a new 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission with a 3200RPM stall torque converter to aid in providing excellent launches. The 6-speed auto provides excellent highway cruising capabilities, with surprisingly efficient operation. There are two dual finned-aluminum transmission coolers for the tranny to help it keep it at optimum temperature during spirited driving. Controlling the 6L80E’s shifts is a Corvette-style shifter, complete with electronic paddle-shift control capabilities on the gear knob. You’ll feel comfortable knowing that you can drive this thing like its sportscar powertrain wants you to, with handling and ride to match. The front end is a complete Heidts SupeRide II independent front suspension, with tubular upper and lower control arms, sway bar, QA1 adjustable coil-over shocks, 12” Wilwood disk brakes and calipers, and a power rack and pinion steering setup. Out back are QA1’s, a triangulated 4-bar link setup, torsion-style sway bar, an all-new quick-change Currie Ford 9” rear end and third member with 2.75:1 gears and a True-Track limited slip differential, and 11” Wilwood disk brakes and calipers complete with E-brake. The power-assisted braking setup is also equipped with a proportioning valve, allowing for fine-tuning the front/rear braking balance. A set of Nitto performance radials (215/50-17 front, 235/65-17 rear) wrapped around American Racing Salt Flat Special 5-hole wheels help keep this retro-rod stuck to the pavement. Inside this modernized classic, you’ll find that all the chrome trim shines like it’s brand new, and it is abundant. From the chrome window surrounds, windshield and rear window trim, to the door and window levers, everything glistens. There are a few hidden secret gems, too: the chrome window cranks don’t move – a light touch upward will raise the power windows, and a similar light touch will lower them. Equipped with what seems to be power everything, this car has plenty of creature comforts that one wouldn’t expect in a vintage auto. Power windows, power locks, a trick Painless “Phantom Key” Keyless Ignition with a proximity-sensing key fob (which provides a very cool pushbutton start and is part of the security system), custom Vintage Air system with billet nozzles, and power seats with 8-way adjustability and lumbar support cover most of the features, but not all. In addition, there is a Bluetooth compatible audio system that has near audiophile sound, USB ports on the console, cupholders, LED interior (and exterior) lighting, and tilt steering wheel all add up to providing a supremely comfortable, modern-feeling ride. The tinted glass all around help the Vintage Air system keep things cold in the summer, and toasty in those colder months (for when you can’t wait to drive this beauty until Spring). And, you’ll want to drive this car year-round, because when you’re in the cabin, the smell of the custom furniture-grade leather is intoxicating. This superb leather covers nearly everything including the headliner, and it provides such a pleasant aroma that it will make Bentley and Rolls owners jealous. If you do get caught in the rain, the 2-speed electric windshield wipers will keep your forward vision clear, and the powerful LED head- and tail-lights will keep the road lit (and keep you visible). Mileage: 14,476 ( undocumented )

Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this custom 1940 Ford Coupe. This coupe has an all steel body and is ready to steal the show for whomever is the new owner! Now to some, it’s taboo to place a Chevy engine in a Ford-body, however, the builder of this custom-rod didn’t think that way. They were worried about one thing and one thing only… POWER! Which this vehicle has plenty of, in the way of a 454 Chevy motor (the valve covers say 502, but it’s a 454). Worried about it being too powerful, going too fast? I didn’t think so, but just in case you were, have no worries as this vehicle is equipped with front disc-brakes and a rear-drum braking system too. When this vehicle does finally slow down and come to a halt, you can then take notice of the fabulous 20’s in the back 19’s in the front Skop chrome wheels. Which are covered by 31x13 rear and 26x6 front Mickey Thompson tires, one of the most famous names amongst hot-rodder’s tongues. Finally, you’ll never be to hot, in this hot-rod, as it comes with an already installed vintage air system, keeping you nice and cool as you breeze down the road. Other options include: Power windows, Tilt wheel, Sony, Am/Fm-Radio with CD-player, Automatic transmission with a BTM pro-stick-shifter, and a remote to open both the doors and the trunk! Mileage: 568 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Chicago showroom is a 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. This is a very cool hot rod! Power comes from a well built 1953 Mercury V8 Flathead that has been fitted with a 3/4 race Comp Cams camshaft, a decked set of cylinder heads for more compression, Brassworks radiator and a 12 volt electrical system. This car makes such a great sound! There's nothing like a well built high performance Flathead. Power is sent through a 3 speed manual mounted on the column. Both the engine and transmission have roughly 1,000 miles since the rebuild and offer issue free enjoyment. The engine was professionally built at Flatland Flatheads out of Oklahoma City. These guys know their stuff. This car will turn heads with the sound alone. Painted in an inconspicuous Clay with a tan interior and a set of period correct hubcaps. The front end has dropped front axle that offers a lowered ride height by a smidge and is fitted with confident inspiring front disc brakes. Adding to the great ride is a set of radial tires and some comfy leather seats. Inside you will also notice the restored gauges that have also been rewired for the 12 volt system. Surrounding the gauges is a beautiful machined turn gauge surround. Completing the 12 volt upgrade is an alternator in place of the old generator. There's no more worry about the car starting, the 12 volt system is a significant improvement over the old 6 volt system. When driving the car, one can tell that this engine is fresh thanks to the abundance of power and a strong, smooth pull all throughout the rev range. The engine is kept cool thanks to a Walker radiator. Also, the car is equipped with Sanderson headers to provide a mean sound. The handling of this beauty is greatly enhanced by the front end sourced from a Mustang II. Helping bring the car to a brisk stop are power disc brakes at all four corners. Overall, this car drives like a relatively modern car and is very fun. Upon entering the cabin of the vehicle, the driver will notice the completely redone tan leather interior. An aluminum radiator and 16” electric fan work together to keep this Ford powered street rod cool on hot days. A C4 automatic transmission transfers the power to the Ford 8” rear end. 1946 Mercury Coupe

1946 Mercury Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: TH350
Mileage: 3,882 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1946 Mercury Coupe. The 46 Mercury was like many of the American cars that year, a 42 Model that was brought back into production late 45 for the 46-model year. The smooth lines were widely accepted but it was still considered to be a “fancy” Ford. This Streetrodded 46 Merc is a far-cry from what it originally was. The first thing that catches your eye is the high-end glass like paint job. The ghosted in flames are done with a surgeon’s precision giving this classic a one-off look. Under the hood the engine bay has been taken to the next level with the firewall smoothed and painted to match it is as clean as I have seen. The small block Chevy sits nestled right between the rails. With all the accessories chromed out this is a clean car from front to back. Hit the button for the remote popper and have a seat in the high-end leather bucket seats. The Mercury emblem has been done in red snakeskin to bring the outside in giving it a unique look. The dash was cleaned up and with the gauges move to a more central location giving the car a modern feel. Hit the button for the power windows and turn the AC on. There is nothing this street rod doesn’t have. Even the Minitab in the back was done so smooth and nice that it’s hard to believe it didn’t come that way. If you have wanted something different but not just so over the top that its gaudy this 46 Merc is exactly that. Options on this custom 1946 Mercury Coupe include, AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1946 Mercury Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com.
