1923 Ford T-Bucket

1923 Ford T-Bucket

Engine: 383 CID V8
Transmission:
Mileage: 100 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars in Scottsdale, Arizona takes great pride in offering this 1923 Fort T-Bucket Roadster for sale in our showroom. Ford Model T Two-seater Roadsters which had a bucket shaped body were used as the base for the “T-Bucket”, a hot-rodder which were created and named by Norm Grabowski. Grabowski was instrumental in the popularity of the “T-Bucket” by redesigning the car for a character to drive in the TV program “77 Sunset Strip”, which ran from 1958 - 1964. This T-Bucket is sporting a blue paint job with a black vinyl interior. The 383 Stroker motor with its exposed headers is hiding from nobody as it’s the most prominent part of this hot rod. The Turbo 350 transmission sends the power to the over-sized rear wheels through an 8-inch Ford rear end. The entire drivetrain has only 100 miles since its rebuild and is more than ready for the street. The electrical system has been completely replaced from the wiring harness to the fuse block to the ignition switch to the aluminum billet battery tray and cables. The fuel system is brand-new including a new fuel cell, sending unit, new fuel lines all the way down to the fuel gauge. A new auto transmission cooler with new lines, tubes, fittings and adapters has been added to assist the Turbo 350 in its mission to help the horses get to the rear alloy wheels. This road-ready 1923 Ford T-Bucket is for sale and can be seen now at the Scottsdale, Arizona Showroom of Gateway Classic Cars. For additional information or to set up an appointment to make this classic hot rod yours, call Gateway Classic Cars in Scottsdale at (623) 900-4884 or email us at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1923 Ford T-Bucket Rat Rod

1923 Ford T-Bucket Rat Rod

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 12,832 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this classic Rat Rod. Mickey Rat is not like any other T-Bucket out there. This car was built and designed by Detroit Speedcraft and is a completely engineered vehicle system that performs (ride, drive, steering, braking, etc.) very similar to a regular car! This vehicle was hand-made using almost ALL new parts, (with the exception of the rebuilt 700R4 transmission, Rebuilt Chevy 10-bolt, S-10 4x4 Rear End and the 40' Ford front axle beam) and is tig (heli-arc) welded. Not many in the industry does that for any car, but Detroit Speedcraft. This particular car, the Fat Rat, was engineered for MAXIMUM interior space and handling. The chassis is a bit longer than a standard Detroit Speedcraft kit and the body is MUCH Larger! It is stretched 10 inches longer than a Henry Ford T, (49" vs 59"), and 5 1/2 inches wider (42" vs 47 1/2"). There is a "speed blister" on the driver's side AND the passenger side for MAXIMUM foot space and comfort. In this T-Bucket, you sit IN the car, not on top of the car and the steering column comes out of the firewall at a proper angle, so the car feels comfortable and natural to drive. The seats? Not boards and foam, but rather, 2010 Camaro buckets that were custom fabricated by Wise Guy's Seating out of Indianapolis, IN. They were stripped, narrowed 6 inches, re-padded and re-stitched in gray leather. And they are COMFORTABLE! The power train was a new GM crate motor that Detroit Speedcraft massaged with and Edelbrock Air-Gap manifold, a Holley carb and a Comp Cams Mid Thumper cam. The engine has a nice "lope" to it. It is a Chevrolet 700R4 with a reversed, manual valve body. It is like having a stick shift, without having a clutch. A roll bar was also added for additional safety. Options include: Hub Caps, Leather Interior, and Seat Belts. The car is in EXCELLENT condition! It also "rolls through" Bob Seger's music video for the song "Detroit Made"! With all the looks and speed, you could want and a full flash drive showing the professional build from start to finish, you can't go wrong with this one! This vehicle is titled as a 2010 ASVE. This Classic Rat Rod is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1930 Ford Coupe

Engine: 4-Cylinder
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 268 ( since rebuilt )

1930 Ford Model A for sale in our Atlanta Showroom location is ready for its next owner. This beauty is painted in a mirror Black paint with red pin striping, red wire wheels with white walls. It looks fresh and runs just as good! The 4-cylinder engine and manual transmission still power this Model A down the road and a lot of new parts keep it running right. The consignor states the engine and transmission have under 300-miles since the rebuild, with a new starter and new alternator. Options aren’t limited on this beauty – that include cloth interior, wire wheels with hub caps, bias ply tires, radiator guard, dual side mounts, dual side mirrors, truck rack and trunk. The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle, and gearshift. Previous Fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes. The Model A's fuel tank was situated in the cowl, between the engine compartment's fire wall and the dash panel. It had a visual fuel gauge, and the fuel flowed to the carburetor by gravity. A rear-view mirror was optional. In cooler climates, owners could purchase an aftermarket cast iron unit to place over the exhaust manifold to provide heat to the cab. A small door provided adjustment of the amount of hot air entering the cab. The Model A was the first car to have safety glass in the windshield. Almost 5 million Model A Fords were produced in 9 different body styles before it was replaced by the Ford Model B. 1930 Chevrolet Coupe

1930 Chevrolet Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )

This good looking 1930 Chevrolet Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. There are various theories about the origin of the term "hot rod". The common theme is that "hot" related to "hotting up" a car, which means modifying it for greater performance. One theory is that "rod" means roadster, a lightweight 2-door car which was often used as the basis for early hot rods. Another theory is that "rod" refers to camshaft, a part of the engine which was often upgraded in order to increase power output. Under the hood of this good-looking street rod is the Heart Beat of America. That’s right, the most popular V8 engine to be used in a street rod for the last 50 years, a small block Chevy engine. Cubic displacement of the V8 is a nice healthy 350 inches. The V8 is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The two toned green and black goes really well together. The top hasn’t been chopped down, so there is still plenty of head room inside this old Chevy. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats are up front with a matching rear bench seat in the rear. The wood ribs have been left exposed and a little of that work in progress. After all, are Hot Rods really ever done? The dash has been filled with aftermarket gauges and an aftermarket tilt steering column with a woodgrain steering wheel has been added. The current owner has owned this beauty for the last 15 years, he has just decided it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Options for this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe include; Power Brakes, Tilt Steering and Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in Radial tires. Engine: 283 CID V8

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1931 Chevrolet Independence. This Coupe is powered by the late year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is coupled to an M22 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders. Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie and Clyde’s preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention. However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while the rear tires do a “smoking burnout.” This 1931 Chevrolet Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 1600cc 4 Cylinder

Mileage: 14,541 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is thrilled to offer this head-turning 1932 Bugatti Convertible Tribute at our Scottsdale location. The body of this car is a mirror image of a 1932 Bugatti Type 59 and unsuspecting onlookers will have absolutely no idea that it is based upon a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle when they see you cruising in this tribute. The build on this car was professionally carried out by Classic Motor Carriages, Inc. in Florida, and the seller has included all receipts and parts information with the vehicle. The engine powering this retro-crowd pleaser is a 1600cc air-cooled VW tied to a 4-speed VW manual, which goes through the gears just like it should. Just over 1000 miles have been clocked since the build, so the next owner will get plenty of low-maintenance enjoyment out of this roadster. The stunning red exterior paint color makes this Bugatti Tribute stand out in any situation while the tan leather interior adds a classy touch for passengers. There are a lot of little details on this car that bring it all together- the two chrome trumpet horns on the front end, the 8-spoke custom wheels with white wall tires and Bugatti center caps as well as the custom chrome plated luggage rack that would be perfect for strapping on a picnic lunch and a blanket too. 1932 Ford Coupe

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,247 ( since rebuilt )

We are trilled to offer for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe. This hot rod was very carefully built to be as accurate as possible to a hot rod from back int he good ole days, 1957 specifically. Going with the 1957 hot rod theme, the car is powered by a period correct Corvette 283. The stout 283 is backed by a 1939 Ford 3 speed manual transmission and a 1940 Ford rear end housing 4.10 gears. The frame is an original 1932 as is the metal gas tank and radiator shell. The body is from Outlaw and features an original firewall appearance. Topping the 283 is an original 1947 Cadillac air cleaner. The exhaust has been Jet Coated in black from the manifolds all the way back to the exhaust tips. The build looks as if the car was sent to us from the past via a time machine. Painted in a high gloss black with the red frame exposed and matched by the red steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and white wall tires(radials). The exposed engine bay also adds to the vintage hot rod theme. Don't be confused with builds of today. This one is no frills and all thrills. No A/C or power steering, this is a hot rod! It is also a proven show winner. It took Street Rodder Top 10 at Goodguys and received the Magnum Axle/ Real Hot Rod award from Goodguys. There's no question that the intended vintage hot rod theme was executed with precision. License plates shown on the car are not included. To view this 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
