It was 1960, the Jet-Age; and Ford needed a sporty and youth-oriented car. Enter in the Starliner, along with its drop-top sister car ,the Sunliner , as the top trims of the Ford Galaxy. With a rakish roofline, aeronautical styling, high-performance engines, and six-passenger seating, it was a smash hit for Ford. The Starliner was the second most poplar Galaxy with 68,461 stamped out of the factory. The cool fastback style with big power was used in racing applications and set the groundwork for a future Ford icon. The Mustang. This particular Starliner has a Cruise-O-Matic trans paired with a original 352 CI Engine. with 48k on the clock, and it will muscle the 3,600 pound car around at a good pace! The Aquamarine paint is striking in the sunlight and with a ground up restoration to factory standards. Behind the wheel and in the drivers seat the car is just as handsome on the inside as it is outside. Along with this comes original, and unused Painted Fenders, original owner manual, shop manual, and 60’s Ford literature. When you add up the smooth ride, powerful V8, the bold styling, and quality of the restoration; this car is a desirable set wheels!
