For sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this 1926 Ford Model T. This Model T is in very nice roadworthy condition and has a very interesting history. By 1926 the Iconic Model T had been refined from the original crank-only basic horseless carriage of 1909 to a more practical and easier to drive vehicle for the masses. Henry Ford was a stubborn man and insisted that all Model Ts be painted black because it was inexpensive and faster to dry. This Tin Lizzy is mostly the way it left the Ford Motor Company Fabled assembly line. The original 4 cylinder comes to life with the electric starter and cruises nicely. The fine folks at Ford adopted Henry's thriftiness and actually recycled the engine crates into floor boards.
Ford made a variety of bodies for the Model T but for those living in cold climates the enclosed 2-door sedan was the car of choice. What you will notice on this classic T is the absence of any frills or luxury items. These cars came without a heater and even a speedometer but I don't think you will be breaking any speed limits with this black beauty anyway. This car starts so easily you can crank it with 1 turn but having the electric starter certainly comes in handy. Your gas gauge is actually a wood indicator stick that will go directly into the front mounted tank to get a reading. If you are looking for a truly unique car and a peice of history itself look no further.
This iconic start to the modern automotive industry can be seen in our Milwaukee showroom. For more information contact our Milwaukee showroom at (262) 891-4253. To see more HD photos and an HD video of this vehicle running and driving visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com
