1937 Lincoln Zephyr

Engine: 5.0 HO V8
Transmission: Ford AOD
Mileage: 8,268 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very rare and unique 1937 Lincoln Zephyr. Finished in Bermuda Blue, a Dupont show series basecoat/clearcoat, this iconic Zephyr stands out from the crowd. Powering this 37' Zephyr is a Ford 5.0L HO V8 engine that was donated from a 1986 Ford Mustang. All engine accessories AC condenser, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, crank pulley, and brackets were chromed and shine bright under the hood. Coated headers flow from the heads to the full exhaust and provide a nice growl out the back. The same 86' Mustang provided the AOD Ford automatic transmission, which was professionally rebuilt before being installed in the Zephyr. A Currie 9" rear end houses 3.50 gears and puts the power to the pavement. A 4 Bar AirRide suspension system provides the perfect stance, while Wilwood disc brakes stop this Lincoln on a dime. 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV
S O L D

1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: C6 3-speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,596 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston has a rare opportunity for you to purchase a family owned since new, 18,596 original mile, 1973 Lincoln Mark IV! This car is original down to the tires that haven’t been changed since it was new. The current owner is the 3rd in his family to obtain the car but the Grandfather was the original purchaser. Powering this personal luxury car is a brutish 460 CID (7.5L) Ford 385 V8 engine mated to the C6 3-speed automatic transmission which are original to the car. 1973 was the second year for the successor to the Mark III. It grew in size and weight from its predecessor and was designed with the Cadillac Eldorado rival in mind. It certainly competed very well. It shared a common chassis with the Ford Thunderbird and was given its own exterior design from the windows down, returning hidden headlights, a radiator-style grille and a continental spare tire trunk lid. All the Continental Mark IVs were assembled at the Wixom assembly plant in Wixom, Michigan alongside the standard Lincoln Continental and the Ford Thunderbird. This was certainly a heavy car, coming in at a heft 5,264lbs! It feels like the kind of car you could drive through a wall without noticing. 1973 saw a major redesign, necessitated by the addition of the 5mph bumpers; in various forms, the front body style would be seen on Continentals and Lincolns until 1989. The engine in the Mark IV was rated considerably lower in both hp and torque than the 460 CID V8 used in the previous generation, however, this is largely due to that fact that they changed how they rated hp. Nationwide companies were made to switch from SAE gross to SAE net hp. This was done to better reflect real world hp figures. The compression ratio was lowered to comply with emissions standards but in many cases it only lowered power by around 10%. The SAE net hp of this car was 212.1hp which pushed this big brute to 120mph and could reach 60 in 10.8 seconds. Considering the car weighs as much as a modern-day Tahoe this was impressive for the year! Inside you will find AM/FM radio, cassette stack, spare tire, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, jack, power windows, ABS, tilt wheel, leather interior and radial tires. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. You can also email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com. The car is in our showroom at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. If you are seeing the car advertised anywhere other than www.gatewayclassiccars.com then please visit the vehicle’s homepage for more info, pictures and a video of the car running and driving http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1255/1973-Lincoln-Mark-IV.

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 30,007 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we have one 1974 Lincoln Mark IV, that you must see to believe. At first view this car looks like is was recently restored. But in this case, this is not true. The Lincoln remains in fantastic original condition. The paint has a thickness of around 40-95um, which confirms it was never repainted. Also, this will tell us something else. The body has never had any problems with corrosion. No rust holes filled up with body filler and covered up with a new coat of paint. This is the real deal here. A true survivor in excellent condition. The story tells that the car was home in Oregon until 2 years ago when it was sold to Florida. We here at Gateway Classic Cars in South Florida are thrilled that we have the honor to feature this car for sale now. The Germans have Mercedes Benz and BMW. The Americans call Cadillac and Lincoln their own. For generations the competition is on who builds more luxury and comfortable cars. After driving this Lincoln, the big question has been finally answered: USA – USA – USA!!! It is just a pleasure to drive down the road in Lincoln. The interior is extra clean, and it feels like you are sitting/driving on grandma’s sofa and the world is just passing by. The monstrous 460ci V8 engine has enough muscle to take you where you need to go. Fully loaded this Mark 4 is ready to go the extra mile. A great example of a 1974 Lincoln Mark4 and you probably won’t find another one like this. Especially in black on black. The odometer shows just over 30k miles and it is highly believed that this is the actual mileage. A great piece of American history that would look good in any car garage or collection. 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V

1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 80,805 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a handsome 1977 Lincoln Mark V. In the 1970s, a luxury car was all about presence. With gas costing just a few dimes per gallon, an expanding network of interstate highways, and a surviving obsession with cubic inches, this Lincoln is the epitome of 1970s American excess. With a body totaling nearly 20 feet long, and a hood about the size of a queen sized mattress, there is no shortage of... car. Pop that massive hood and you'll uncover a 460 CID V8 which is more than capable of pulling this land yacht down the highway in style and comfort. The transmission is of course and automatic, and power everything (nearly) leaves the driver in control, yet completely relaxed. This is the type of car you can steer with one finger. This particular Mark V sports a white exterior with a white landau top. The interior features white leather upholstery to match as well as some blue accent pieces for a little contrast. The car is in good surviving original condition and has only 80,773 showing on the odometer. The car runs and drive's nicely and would make a nice first collector car for someone, or a nice stylish daily driver which still has most of the modern creature comforts we've come to expect. 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

Engine: V8 OHC
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 21,580 ( actual )

In the 70's the Lincoln Mark series was the pinnacle of luxury. This was Ford Motor Company's way to compete with Cadillac and a very successful way at that. The Mark V screams 70's luxury, from its long straight body, to the hideaway head lamps, to the pillow top seating, or even the opera windows. The size, weight, and presence of the vehicle lets you know that someone important is behind the wheel. Although the car is something to admire, behind the wheel is the best place to be. The bench seat is as comfortable as your easy chair at home, the steering is light enough you could steer with one finger, and the ride is so soft it feels like you're floating down the road. This is a car made to cover long spans of roadway. Powering the car along is a 400 CID V8 backed by a silky smooth 3 speed automatic transmission. The original owner ordered this one with plenty of goodies including A/C, AM/FM, cruise control, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, power seats, tilt/telescopic wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, and white wall radial tires. These late 70's cruisers have a great following and may be the next high dollar classic. This one is ready for the collector, or simply to be driven and appreciated. Engine: 460 CID V8

Mileage: 24,821 ( undocumented )

Our newest arrival at the Gateway Classic Cars Chicago, IL showroom is not for the average auto collector. At GCC, we embrace the enthusiasts that hold a devotion to big, beautiful cars from off the beaten path. When selecting American luxury, many have placed their votes with GM’s division of Cadillac, only to find themselves lost in a sea of trend followers. However, throughout the years, if you wanted to be taken seriously as a true individual with class, you rocked a Lincoln. Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, Frank Lloyd Wright, and countless US Presidents would all agree with this opinionated declaration. Take a long gaze at this gorgeous 1978 Lincoln Mark V. With an impeccably clean interior and exterior, this is a shining example of everything previously mentioned; Command, luxury, and innovation. This year of the Mark V was the very last that offered the iconic 460 CID big block as an option. Like many other Mark V’s, this one was custom-ordered by the original owner to include cruise control, power windows, power brakes, power steering, power mirrors, and even an 8-Track radio. It continued life with a second owner, and currently awaits a third under our roof here in Chicago. 1978 Lincoln Town Car

1978 Lincoln Town Car

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 50,481 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is happy to be offering this mostly original 1978 Lincoln Town Car for sale in our Arizona showroom. This Town Car is one of the last TRUE Survivors! When this car was New Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind and Jaws 2 were the big Blockbusters! For years, the Lincoln Town Car has been the epitome of a "car built for executives" since it's inception. The original Gold Poly paint still looks acceptable, but it has faded and has some road rash in places. The "Ultra Velour" interior is a complimentary gold color and looks comfortable, just like your living room sofa. It remains in excellent condition. The vinyl top is a pleasing contrast to the rest of the car. 1978 was Ford's Diamond Anniversary (75 years) and this was the second to the last year that the Town Car was really a "full sized car". How's this for specs...127.2" wheelbase, 233" overall length, 4958 lbs with fluids and a 460-4V engine cranking out 156 HP. When driving this vintage luxury car, you'll soon realize that the definition of "luxury" when it comes to automobiles from this era versus today is really different. This car has only had one owner and the owner claims the mileage is original, but this has not been confirmed by GCC. There are a growing number of collectors gravitating toward the luxury American cars of the 1970's, and this Lincoln fits the bill perfectly. Don't miss buying a low mile, one owner, mostly original 1978 Lincoln Town Car for sale right now in our facility. 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe

1978 Lincoln Town Coupe

Engine: 460 CID
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 59,741 ( actual )

Only two owners on this cool and rare glass roof Town Coupe. The Marti report shows this Lincoln is the only one made in 1978 with these options. Including: 460-4V V8, C-6 automatic transmission, A/C, 8-track, vinyl roof, Dark Red Velour Comfort Lounge Seats, block heater, and the town coupe package. And as you can see from the dash this was originally a Canadian car. With 96,145 Km on the odometer, that equates to only 59,741 miles. This beauty has been meticulously cared for since day one. Now she is looking for a new home. For 1978, the dashboard was updated for the first time, as the Lincoln Continental adopted a revised version of the Mercury Grand Marquis dashboard. In addition to increasing parts commonality, the update was done to save weight; the plastic-frame Mercury dashboard was lighter than the previous steel-frame version. In a similar move, Lincoln redesigned the rear fender skirts, adopting a version that covered less of the rear wheels. Alongside the optional sliding glass sunroof, a fixed glass moonroof with an interior sunshade was introduced (for the first time since the 1955 Ford Skyliner) To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video and 100+ HD pictures please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Denver showroom. 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

Engine: 460 V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Auto
Mileage: 36,604 ( undocumented )

The Continental Mark Series has been marketed by the Lincoln Division of Ford Motor Company since 1956 to denote their flagship personal luxury vehicle. While sharing little to no common bodywork, the Mark series would share much of its underpinnings with the Ford Thunderbird with the exception of 1977-1979 when the Thunderbird was downsized. This 1978 Continental Mark V represented a major revision vs. the Mark IV. At just short of 20 feet long, it demands attention. Motor Trend Magazine quoted the following, “The Mark V was the essence of unconstrained American automotive opulence, conceived at a time when fuel economy and space efficiency were the concerns of lesser cars”. This survivor sports a 460 cid V8, the largest displacement powerplant available in the US at the time. This engine was actually banned in the State of California. Additional features include power steering, power brakes, power windows AM/FM Stereo and leather interior. A very unique feature found on this vehicle is the rare power Moon-Roof option that seems to extend forever! This Lincoln Continental Mark V is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1979 Lincoln Town Car

1979 Lincoln Town Car

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 57,072 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this gold land yacht 1977 Lincoln Town Car. This car is show quality inside and out and ready to be enjoyed. This Gold Lincoln is an all original with numbers matching motor and transmission. This car is fun to drive and floats along as it cruises down the road. Only having 56k actual miles, there is plenty of life left in the car. The overall condition of the paint, interior, motor, and drivability is suburb. Options on this Town Car include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, power mirrors, upgraded cloth interior with Lincoln symbols and added style inserts, and even white wall tires. For 1975-1979, the exterior of the Lincoln Continental underwent a major revision. Although the body below the beltline saw only minor change (the taillights redesigned in the style of the Mark IV), the roofline was completely restyled. To separate itself from the Mark IV, the two-door Continental/Town Coupe adopted a fully pillared roofline with a square opera window in the C-pillar. In place of the pillared hardtop shared with the Mercury Marquis and Ford LTD, the four-door Continental/Town Car adopted a wide B-pillar; to distinguish itself from the Cadillac Sixty Special Brougham; Town Cars were given the oval opera window introduced on the Mark IV. Along with the styling upgrades, 1975 Lincolns received substantial upgrades to the braking system. Designed by Bendix,[57] the Lincoln Continental became one of the first American cars equipped with a 4-wheel disc brake system (as an option). To further improve the emissions performance of the 460 V8, the engine was fitted with catalytic converters, ending its compatibility with leaded regular gasoline. For 1979, the interior underwent further updating, as the Mercury-sourced dashboard received additional wood trim. The 460 V8 was deleted from the Lincoln/ Mark V model line entirely, leaving the 400 V8 as the sole engine. This Lincoln is perfect for a comfy daily driver or even a show car. 1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

Engine: 5.0L V8
Transmission: Auto
Mileage: 25,788 ( actual )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a low mile 1981 Lincoln MKVI. This Bill Blass Edition Lincoln has covered an original 25,788 miles and is on its second owner. This is "the little old lady car to church on Sundays." The condition of this low mileage gem is near new and drives like it too. It’s obvious that this one has been garaged and stored in the winter away from any winter roads. Equipment is plentiful as it should for a Lincoln. Power seats, Power windows with power smoker's vent window, Power locks, Cruise control, Tilt steering wheel and leather. Power comes from an exceptionally smooth 302 V8 and shifts through an automatic transmission. The Designer Series such as the Bill Blass Edition demanded a premium and was one of the most expensive cars built in America. The Bill Blass Edition was accompanied by three more Designer Series; The Cartier Designer Series, The Givenchy Designer Series and the Pucci Designer Series. They all came with their own color scheme and sold well. This new series began in 1980 and came to an end in 1983. The smaller Lincoln equipped with the fuel injected 302, was Lincoln’s answer to the gas crisis. A light weight with a smaller appetite was just what the doctor ordered. The outgoing heavy MK V was far heavier and equipped with a 460 or a 351 V8 making for a gas tank that you couldn’t keep full. This was a short run when compared to other Lincolns, making for fewer collectible examples on today’s market. This may be the best one available. Don’t miss out! For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for a closer look. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature

1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Engine: 5.0L V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 61,644 ( actual )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we have one clean, low mileage 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature. This fine example of a late 80’s Town Car looks absolutely fantastic. With only two previous owners, the car is ready for a new owner that will continue the good care of this Lincoln. The story begins on the streets in Iowa. There you were able to see it driving by from 1988 until 2014. In mid 2014 it found its way down to the second owner in South Florida. Recently the car rolled into our showroom and we were all amazed at how clean it is. The Town Car shows a beautiful black exterior. The paint is in great condition and the vinyl top looks like brand new. Open the doors and you will ask yourself if this is really a car from the 80’s. Absolutely clean and gorgeous. The seats look like brand new. The chrome door handles show hardly any use. The wooden dash looks like the carpenter just put it in and the headliner sticks to the roof like new. But folks, the purpose of any car is to be driven and this luxury Lincoln drives amazingly. Those unpleasant extra errands ordered by your wife will suddenly become a pleasure. The 5.0L V8 engine runs like a saw machine and the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Cruising through town will have a new meaning in this car. If you are looking for one of the cleanest Town Cars that is available, look no further. You just found it. Of course, the car comes fully loaded. Hey, it’s a Lincoln!!!
