1914 Cadillac Touring 30

1914 Cadillac Touring 30

Engine: 365 CID V4
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 9,136 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this extraordinary piece of automotive history, a 1914 Cadillac, to our Philadelphia located in West Deptford, NJ! The 1914 Cadillac is the last and largest of the Model 30 Cadillacs which began in 1909. This 103-year old automobile, serial number 99058, is quite authentic and fully functional! According to the owner, the four-cylinder, 365 CID engine has never been apart and many of the parts are original including the muffler! The horsepower is listed as 40-50 hp which is considerable for any car of the day, but quite impressive from a car with a four-cylinder engine! It is believed that the car has just over 9,000 miles since new! The cylinders are cast individually with individual heads and copper water jackets. The lubricating system, designed and improved by Cadillac, is the same one used on all four-cylinder Cadillacs from 1905! This Cadillac is a special high compression “H” model which uses a unique carburetor and caps on the heads to increase compression! The engine is unmolested including the water cooling on the carburetor. Historically, these cars have had problems with cracked heads. These have no cracks! All Model 30s have problems with connecting rod bolt breakage, this car has had those replaced by high strength bolts by Steve Bono of M&S Restoration in Bouckville, NY! All connecting rod bearings were hand scraped and adjusted. The clutch and water pump have been rebuilt! The radiator has been cleaned and filled with Evans® Coolant, there are no leaks! This is a difficult statement to make for any brass-era car! 1913 and 1914 Cadillacs are very similar, but differ in two major respects, the fuel feed and the rear end. The 1913 has the gas tank as part of the cowl with gravity feed which can be quite the challenge to clean! This 1914 Cadillac has the gas tank in the rear with pressurized feed to the carburetor. The gas tank on this car was removed, all solder removed and replaced with higher temperature, modern solder, sealed with Renu® high temperature sealer and repainted! Everything on this car works well and its starts easily! The two-speed rear end makes this car special as it has two ratios, 3.66 (low speed) and 2.5 to 1 (high speed). 1951 Mercury Sport Sedan

Engine: 255 CID Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 83,036 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars Philadelphia is proud to offer this classic 1951 Mercury Sport Sedan. Check out this rare original Classic! Those who really enjoy these cars--and they're as iconic as anything that emerged from the industry's immediate postwar reawakening--think that of the redesigned Mercury models, 1949 thru 1951, those from 1951 are the best of the trio. Instead of having a somewhat incongruously rounded rump, the 1951 Mercury gained new vertical taillamps, replacing the erstwhile wraparound horizontal units, and regally elevated rear sheet metal to match. The buyers liked it. Few may realize it today, but among the historic three-year run of Mercury that commenced in 1949, the final cars from 1951 held the sales lead. This 1951 Mercury with suicide doors and the original Flathead V8 with three speeds on the column is a prime example. This Mercury is Green with Green vinyl interior. The body and paint look great. We are not sure how old the paint job is, but it has been updated and looks great. The interior is near perfect and the chrome trim is in excellent condition. This Classic is equipped with skirts, white wall tires, radio, heater and more. The electrical system has been upgraded from 6 volt to 12 volt. Check out the chrome grille on this car it is awesome. The Mercury is one of the most popular sedans with Hot Rodders, it’s styling is iconic. 1964 AMC Rambler

1964 AMC Rambler

Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 90,122 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is pleased to welcome this awesome 1964 AMC Rambler. The Rambler is an automobile manufactured by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1958 and 1969. It was the second incarnation of AMC's forerunner. The second-generation Rambler compact was sold under the Nash and Hudson Motors marques from 1954 and 1955. Many viewed the second-generation design as the best looking and were arguably the most attractive compacts of all time in Detroit in the early 1960s. Originally sporting a white paint job, this beautiful Rambler has gone through light restoration work in the last decade as well as routine maintenance. It now sports a fresh coat of bright red paint that really pops with the black leather interior and top. The inline 6 powerplant has had a complete engine rebuild and is paired to the original 3 speed manual transmission. That too was given attention as well with components such as the pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing being replaced and having the flywheel resurfaced. All necessary bushings and seals were replaced as well. Additional features included with this AMC include an automatic convertible top, AM Radio, Hub Caps and white wall tires that really make a statement either driving down the road or presenting itself stationary in your garage. This Rambler will have you smiling from ear to ear every-time its taken out for a cruise. Its ready to go and the only thing left that this AMC needs is a new owner. A folder full of receipts and paperwork is available to show upon request. Contents are too much to list. To view this 1964 AMC Rambler in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. 1964 Ford Fairlane

1964 Ford Fairlane

Engine: 427 CID V8 Engine
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 6,600 ( undocumented )

Philadelphia Gateway Classic Cars welcomes a new Fairlane to the fold. This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 equipped with a 1965 427 C.I. Factory Crate Motor and 4 speed manual transmission is a BAD car. The Fairlane name stood for a certain level of luxury and comfort. Not in this case though. This Fairlane 500 is inspired by it’s racing cousin the THUNDERBOLT. The car was redone in 2006. The body was completely stripped and returned to what is believed to be the factory color. No panels needed to be replaced. It is done in a deep Maroon. Of course, the Thunderbolt teardrop hood scoop has been added. When you open the hood on this car you are overwhelmed by engine. The Thunderbolt style grille fed induction system makes it clear that this car is built to run. Large tube thunderbolt reproduction headers, MSD electronic ignition, high output starter and an aluminum water pump are some of the performance modifications done to this Fairlane. The rear is a 9 inch Ford unit with 3:50 gears. Inside the car is the stock interior in excellent condition. There is a 60’s style column tachometer and a tri gauge setup under the dash to monitor the vitals. The race car feel means no frills on this car it is radio delete and a bench with floor shifter. The look, the feel, the sound it is all there but the best is yet to come. Turn the key and be prepared to be impressed. This car SCREAMS. This 1964 Fairlane grinds the asphalt. There is no doubt that the 427 CI Big Block Ford is a force to be reckoned with. Smooth acceleration and firm shifts send the message that there is allot more left under the hood to be released when the time is right. To view this 1964 Ford Fairlane. in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. 1965 Valiant Wagon

1965 Valiant Wagon

Engine: 225 CID Slant 6
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80,689 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is proud to present this super cool 1965 Plymouth Valiant Station Wagon. That’s right a station wagon! The precursor to the vaunted SUV is the station wagon, and the mid 60’s has suddenly regained some popularity. You will see them as support vehicles at your local dragstrip or showing up and being showed off at the local car cruise scene. Designed to haul the family around town and make the “family vacation” easier as only one vehicle was required, which is what our modern-day SUV’s and mini-vans do. This Plymouth Valiant SW looks to be in excellent shape. The interior is in very good shape, with the only noticeable wear being the rubber mat in the tail gate area. Under the hood is possibly the most reliable engine Mopar ever built, the 225 CID Slant 6 engine. While it not as impressive as a Hemi V8, these little engines almost never left one stranded. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission for ease of operation. The tan exterior paint is nicely augmented with the rear glass being tinted. Finishing off the exterior with a no nonsense look is a set of black steel wheels with dog dish style hub caps. This Plymouth would make a great shop vehicle for a small hot rod shop or maybe even a grass roots drag racing team. Heck maybe even a big racer like John Force may want to reminiscence. Options for this 1965 Plymouth Valiant Station Wagon include; Seat Belts, Vinyl interior, Steel Wheels with Hub Caps wrapped in radial tires.
