1937 Ford Coupe

1937 Ford Coupe

Engine: 136 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 88,532 ( undocumented )

All original and numbers matching! This well kept coupe looks like it just stepped right out of the showroom as it did 90 years ago. The gray exterior paint was redone over 8 years ago and still looks very nice with minimal blemishes. The stock all-steel body has not been hacked up and is riding along smoothly on a set of steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and wrapped in Coker radial wide white wall tires for extra stability. As you slide on into the interior you can feel the springy bench seat adjust to your weight. Settle in and put the key in the ignition and turn it not to start it, but to unlock the steering column. Flip the switch into the “on” position, push in the clutch, pull the choke while giving it a couple pumps of the accelerator, and hit the button resulting in an almost instantaneous start followed by a smooth purr. The 3-speed standard gear box connected to the flathead V8 makes for a fun and unique driving experience. It is not a high powered hot rod, but it is still just as fun to cruise down the main drag and turn some heads! This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1937 Ford Coupe in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1950 Packard Deluxe 8

1950 Packard Deluxe 8

Engine: Straight 8
Transmission: 2 Speed Auto
Mileage: 79,290 ( undocumented )

Go Pack(ard) GO!!!! We have an awe inspiring 1950 Packard Deluxe 8. This is decked out to commemorate the Green Bay Packers. It features a 356ci Straight 8 with a 2 speed auto trans. Take this beauty tailgating to all the games, you will not be disappointed in the amount of heads that will turn while driving this beauty! Although the postwar Packards sold well, the ability to distinguish expensive models from lower-priced models disappeared as all Packards, whether sixes or eights, became virtually alike in styling. Further, amid a booming seller's market, management had decided to direct the company more to volume middle-class models, thus concentrating on selling lower-priced cars instead of more expensive—and more profitable—models. Worse, they also tried to enter the taxi cab and fleet car market. The idea was to gain volume for the years ahead, but that target was missed: Packard simply was not big enough to offer a real challenge to the Big Three, and lacked the deep pockets with which a parent company could shelter them, as well as the model lineup through which to spread the pricing. As a result, Packard's image as a luxury brand was further eroded. As Packard lost buyers of expensive cars, it could not find enough customers for the lesser models to compensate. The shortage of raw materials immediately after the war—which was felt by all manufacturers—hurt Packard more with its volume business than it would have had it had focused on the specialty luxury car market. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1950 Packard Deluxe 8 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro Street

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro Street

Engine: 468 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Pro Street is a style of street-legal custom car built to appear more at home on the drag strip than on the street, while remaining legal to operate and not “gutted” like a bracket race car. Vehicles of this type often show highly modified, large capacity V8 engines up front, but keep a stock interior floor plan, windshield wipers, carpet and working lights. This fantastic, award-winning 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan is the best of the best. Featuring a 468 cid big block, 4-bolt main power plant topped by a Dyers 871 blower, this beast is all business. Additional build features include aluminum heads, MSD ignition, steel crank, h-beam rods and a blow-proof bell housing. All this power is mated to a turbo 400 transmission with a manual valve body and 9-inch Ford rear end. The center section is a Curry 4-link coil/over suspension. The quality does not stop there as the interior is beautifully done in tan leather with a custom-made dash and console. 19.5 inch Micky Thompson wheels finish off a truly gorgeous package that needs to be seen (and heard…) to be fully appreciated. This 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan Pro Street is located in our Milwaukee showroom. It was the only American-designed, mass-produced passenger car to use a rear-mounted, air-cooled engine. The name "Corvair" is a portmanteau of Corvette and Bel Air. The name was first applied in 1954 to a Corvette-based concept with a hardtop fastback-styled roof that was part of the Motorama traveling exhibition.
