For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is the epitome of Mopar Muscle. This Plum Crazy 1970 Plymouth AAR Barracuda is very special. Only produced in 1970, the AAR ‘Cuda got its name from its ties to SCAA road racing. AAR stands for “All American Racing”.
The AAR ‘Cuda differed from the standard Plymouth Barracuda in numerous ways, both cosmetically and mechanically. One of the most obvious ways to spot an AAR is the “Strobe” stripe and “AAR” logo running along the sides of the car. Another way to spot an AAR ‘Cuda is by taking a look at the exhaust, which exits out of the sides towards the rear of the vehicle. This Barracuda came with a duck tail spoiler and functional hood scoop.
Mechanically, this car is very impressive. This AAR is powered by a 340cid V8 6 pack. The 6 pack refers to the 3 two barrel carburetors. This engine puts out plenty of power. This Barracuda is a breeze to drive thanks to its power steering and power brakes. Inside the engine bay is clean enough to eat off of.
