1949 Hudson Super

1949 Hudson Super

Engine: 261 CiD Inline Flat 6-cylinder
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 200 ( since rebuilt )

Up for sale now in our Houston Showroom is this classic 1949 Hudson Super Six. In 1949 nothing looked or felt like a Hudson Super Six. With its high beltline and low roof, the Hudson Super Six looked like it had been “chopped” and modified by one of the new custom shops that just started popping up in California, yet was a brand-new car. This one has the flathead inline six which has become known to be exceedingly durable, smooth and quiet, as you’ll witness cruising down the parkway. The engine only has roughly 200 miles on it since the rebuild and is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The column shifter shifts smoothly through the gears to make it enjoyable for any type of driver. Power steering and air conditioning make for added riding comfort. The radiator and floor-pans were recently replaced to make the car more sound to someone looking to get into the classic car world. Black with wide white wall tires set off this car along with the red rims and chrome disk covers. This 1949 Hudson Super Six sits like it just landed by air or sea. The chrome bumpers aft and stern are in like new condition. The interior is in good condition with very minor cracking at the edge of the driver’s seat but still nothing to keep this from being a solid driver. The gauges remain original aside from the added fuel gauge because who wants to run out of gas unexpectedly? A Hudson is just what you’d want in a fun collectible vehicle, enjoyable to drive, unique modern chopped styling with ample room for friends and family. Don’t let this one pass you, when have you seen one of these last? To see all the HD pictures and video please go to http://gatewayclassiccars.com/houston/1949/hudson/super-S941.html. 1996 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 62622 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this clean 1996 Chevrolet Corvette. Nothing screams American Muscle more than a Corvette! The C4 was one of the most desirable sports cars throughout the United States. 1996 was also the last year of the C4. Powering this piece of history is a 350 CID V8 that has plenty of life left in it being there are only 62,500 actual miles on the car. It’s hard to find newer cars with that low of miles so this is a very well taken care of car. Paired up with the engine is a 4-speed automatic transmission that has no issues going through the gears as you take it down the highway. This sporty convertible has been left as original as it can be minus some new tires that were installed roughly 1,000 miles ago. If your looking for a rust free southern classic this is the one for you. It’s been in Texas since October of 1996 and still drives as it did fresh of the lot. The interior is as clean as the exterior with a few items that were recently replaced to keep it looking good for the Corvette fanatics out there. The Interior was completely redone just due to regular wear and tear throughout the years. Even the carpet was replaced so this car really does look brand new. The visors and lights were also replaced to provide both visibility and block that pestering sun when your enjoying a summer drive. 1939 Chevrolet Custom Truck and Trailer

1939 Chevrolet Custom Truck and Trailer

Engine: 313 CID Straight 6
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 99999 ( undocumented )

There it is a 1939 Chevrolet Custom Truck and Trailer combo that is now for sale in our Houston Showroom. This truck is what we can call custom, and does not have any hard time winning trophies at any car show you choose to take it to. This truck is powered by a strong 313 CID Inline 6 which is plenty of power for this light weight beauty. The transmission the is paired up with the engine is a Ford C4 with a “Lokar” shifter. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt by Owens Race Engine in Pearland. At a quick glance, it would be hard to determine this is a Chevrolet being it has a grill from a 1937 Hudson Terraplane, headlights from a ’30 Hudson, and taillights from a ’59 Cadillac Ambulance. Each time you look at this truck you will find something new or interesting, which was the intention of the truck as it climbed to the top of the competition at several previous car shows. The Carb intake is a Zenith TIN40 from a ’71 Porsche 911-T with Velocity Stacks. The 4-barrel intake is a Ford 300 Offenhauser with a Holly 570 “Street Avenger” mounted on top. The parts on this truck is like a time capsule ranging from parts dated back to the early 1900’s all the way up to the 90’s. What truly makes this truck an American classic is the WWII pieces that have been installed such as the brass hood and trunk handles from vintage WWII naval electric conduit clips, Zoomie heat shield from WWII zero recoil artillery shell casings, and the overhead switches from a B-29 Bomber. As you work your way down on this piece of history you see the truck and trailer both sit on OEM wheels from a ’41 Ford. The tires are in great shape and made by Diamond Back with Michelin rear cases. The trailer that comes with this truck is a ’36 Mullins which were only made in ’36-’37 in turn making this deal just that much sweeter. The interior is a tan color and in great condition, you will notice everything from the floors, carpet, and headliner are all in great shape. The interior keeps the flow going with the customization's it has as well such as the vintage faucets used for the dash switches. 1966 Plymouth Fury

1966 Plymouth Fury

Engine:
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 27604 ( undocumented )

Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this bad to the bone 1966 Plymouth Fury. The Plymouth Fury is a model of automobile which was produced by Plymouth from 1955 to 1989. The Fury was introduced as a sub-series of the Belvedere but was actually a level above. Over the years the Fury has bounced between a mid-size car and a full-size car over the years but this 1966 was definitely a full-size car. 1965 marked the year that Chrysler returned the Fury to a full size body and they used the Chrysler C-Body platform in which to do it. It now had an increased wheelbase of 119 inches which was an inch longer than before. The C-bodies were upper range large cars; and, like every Chrysler Corporation car, they had torsion bar front suspensions and rear leaf springs. The Chrysler (brand) cars had long hoods to accommodate big block engines, and, in nearly all cases, standard TorqueFlite automatics. They had a smooth ride but, thanks to their torsion bar suspensions, handled better than most, if not all, other large cars. Up front you will find a meaty 383 CID V8 engine that is more than adequate to push this beauty down the road. With it’s smooth shifting 727 transmission, 3rd member and 3:23 gears, it is gorgeous to drive and eats up miles really well. The odometer reads 27,604 miles but it has only covered 4000 miles since it was rebuilt! The car features a blue Dupont clear 3500 paint job and matching blue vinyl interior. You will find air conditioning, AM/FM radio, spare tire, power steering, power seats, power windows, a jack and radial tires on aluminum alloy wheels! The A/C blows cold and the heat blows hot too. You will certainly be very happy with this car. Please reach out to the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 to learn more about the truck or to learn about purchase and finance options. You can visit the truck in person at 1910 Cypress Station Dr Suite 200, Houston, TX 77090. To see all the HD pictures and video please go to www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1160/1966-Plymouth-fury.

1983 Datsun 280ZX 2+2

1983 Datsun 280ZX 2+2

Engine: 2.7L I6 F
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 57243 ( actual )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this awesome and powerful 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo 2+2 finished in a beautiful and fitting red with gray and black interior. The Nissan S130 is a sports coupe that was produced by Nissan in Japan from 1978 to 1983. You will know that car as the Datsun 280ZX here in the USA but other countries know the car as the Nissan Fairlady Z and the Nissan Fairlady 280ZX. 1983 marked the last year for the car as it was then replaced by the 300ZX the following year. Both 2 and 4 seat options were offered and this happens to be the more spacious 4 seater option. This turbocharged version offered a considerable boost in performance over the standard, naturally aspirated version of the car. The naturally aspirated 1982 Datsun 280ZX boasted a 0-60 mph time of 9.1 seconds, 1.2 slower than the Corvette of the same year. However, the 280ZX Turbo manual had a 0-60 mph of 7.4 seconds while the automatic managed to turn out 7.1 seconds. That compares to the Aston Martin Volante with a 0-60 mph of 8.9 seconds and almost seven times the cost and the Ferrari 308GTSi with a 0-60 mph of 7.9 seconds. The only cars in 1982 to beat the Turbo ZX were the Porsche 911SC and the BMW M1, which were considered by most to be exotic cars. In this car, you will find many modern features such as air conditioning, AM/FM radio with cassette, spare tire, T-Tops, cruise control, power steering, power brakes power locks, jack, seat belts, kill switch and aluminum wheels. The air conditioning blows cold and the heat blows hot! The CarFax shows 3 owners since new. It started life in New York and moved to Arizona back in 2002. It then moved to Texas in 2010 where it has been ever since. The car is ready to drive home. Don’t miss your chance to own an increasingly rare and desirable Japanese legend. For even more information on this 1983 Datsun 280ZX located in our Houston showroom come by and see us at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090.
