Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this gorgeous 1964 Chevelle Malibu. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Fairlane and was supposed to reflect a car similar in size to the Classic Tri-Five of the decade prior. They would go down as being some of the most memorable cars of our time. The Malibu continued its reign as the leading seller of the Chevelle and would continue to do so throughout the Chevelle’s life, because it boasted the highest number of model options with the 4-door sport sedan, 2-door sport coupe, convertible, 4-door sedan, and 2-seat station wagon. One could get anything from a base model 300 coupe with a 230 CI inline 6 with a 3 on the tree, to a 4-door wagon with a 327 and a 4-speed manual, to a fire-breathing 375 HP 396 CID V8 in the SS model. If you wanted it, chances are it could be found in a Chevelle. This beautiful edition of a 1964 Malibu Chevelle is equipped with a period and date code correct 230 CI Inline 6 and the “3 on the tree” 3 speed manual transmission. The car was resprayed back to its original Ember Red factory paint “code 922” in 2009. The red vinyl interior really matches well with the exterior and really gives this car that 60’s nostalgia. This car has been in a couple of movies and music videos and is just the right amount of cool with that cruiser drivetrain. Options on this beautiful 1964 Chevelle Malibu include: Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior,Seatbelts, Rally Wheels and white wall radial tires. This good looking 1930 Chevrolet Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. There are various theories about the origin of the term "hot rod". The common theme is that "hot" related to "hotting up" a car, which means modifying it for greater performance. One theory is that "rod" means roadster, a lightweight 2-door car which was often used as the basis for early hot rods. Another theory is that "rod" refers to camshaft, a part of the engine which was often upgraded in order to increase power output. Under the hood of this good-looking street rod is the Heart Beat of America. That’s right, the most popular V8 engine to be used in a street rod for the last 50 years, a small block Chevy engine. Cubic displacement of the V8 is a nice healthy 350 inches. The V8 is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The two toned green and black goes really well together. The top hasn’t been chopped down, so there is still plenty of head room inside this old Chevy. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats are up front with a matching rear bench seat in the rear. The wood ribs have been left exposed and a little of that work in progress. After all, are Hot Rods really ever done? The dash has been filled with aftermarket gauges and an aftermarket tilt steering column with a woodgrain steering wheel has been added. The current owner has owned this beauty for the last 15 years, he has just decided it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Options for this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe include; Power Brakes, Tilt Steering and Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in Radial tires. For more information on this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe for sale, please call the Louisville showroom at (812) 294 – 1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. This 1955 Ford Crown Victoria is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 55 Crown Victoria was a direct shot at Chevy’s new line-up of vehicles. The Crown Victoria would have a very distinct chrome B pillar that ran from one side of the car to the other making it stand out in a crowded marketplace. The body itself was very similar and with a few different engine options they were well received by the public. The color palette that Ford would bring out that year would really put an exclamation point on their new line. This good looking 1968 Ford Mustang convertible is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The 1967 model year Mustang was the first redesign of the original model. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger version even as the original was achieving sales success, and while "Iacocca later complained about the Mustang's growth, he did oversee the redesign for 1967. The major mechanical feature was to allow the installation of a big-block V8 engine. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased. Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoop (1967 model) and chrome (1968 model) side ornamentation, square rear-view mirrors, and usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes. This convertible comes with the venerable 289 CID V8 engine with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The car may have been repainted at some time, but the original color is Lime Gold (Code I) and the current owner has had the car for over 15 years. The exterior has been finished with a nice set of factory rally wheels. It gives this a convertible just a little bit sportier look. The interior is Ivy Gold vinyl (Code 2G) and looks to be in very good shape. The black convertible top is in good condition and with a little care will last for years to come. If you’re looking for a nice week end cruiser for some top down fun in the fun, call before this little gem is scooped by another Mustang fanatic. Options for this 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible include; Power convertible Top, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Raised White Letter Radial tires. Gateway Classic cars of Louisville is proud to present this 2003 American Iron Horse Tejas SJ Motorcycle. Because most of their bikes look like one off custom machines, American Iron Horse Choppers remain in high demand in the resale market. I believe a huge factor in their continued high demand, besides their ultra-cool look, was the fact that they chose the American-made S&S engine to power all their motorcycles. Many other motorcycle manufacturers and custom builders went with imported V-twin engines, that most bikers consider way inferior when compared to the S&S engine. American Ironhorse opened for business in 1995. American Ironhorse was the largest factory producer of custom motorcycles in the United States until production ended in 2008. Below are the approximate specifications for the Tejas: Displacement: 107 cubic inches, Engine type: V2, four-stroke, Power: 110.00 HP (80.3 kW), Fuel system: Carbureted, Fuel control: Overhead Valves (OHV), Cooling system: Air, Gearbox: 5-Speed, Transmission type: Manual, Final drive: Belt, Rake (fork angle): 42.0°, Front suspension: Telescopic, Rear suspension: Rigid, Front Tire: 90/90-H21, Rear Tire: 280/35-V18, Front brakes: Single disc, Rear brakes: Single disc, Dry weight: 293.0 kg (646.0 pounds), Power/weight ratio: 0.3754 HP/kg, Overall height: 1,232 mm (48.5 inches), Overall length: 2,540 mm (100.0 inches), Overall width: 864 mm (34.0 inches), Ground clearance: 102 mm (4.0 inches), Wheelbase: 1,887 mm (74.3 inches), Fuel capacity: 18.92 liters (5.00 gallons).
