1956 Ford Thunderbird

1956 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 312 CID V8
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 12,807 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird. The 1956 Ford Thunderbird is one of those designs that never goes out of style, and remains an instantly-identifiable icon of the 50s. Beautifully styled, comfortable, and with enough performance to keep almost any gearhead happy, they are perhaps the best combination of styling and performance from the 1950s. It can easily be said that the 1st generation of Thunderbird was their finest. Between 1955 and 1957 the Thunderbird was a small 2 seat roadster which was comparable to the Chevrolet Corvette. These cars could be had with a 292 CI V8, or an optional 312 CID V8. This T-bird has the larger 312 as well as a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, along with new wiring, stainless exhaust, and an electric radiator fan. The vivid red paint is stunning along with the red and white interior. This Thunderbird has power brakes, power steering, and a Town and Country AM radio. Stylings include round portholes in the removable hardtop, wire wheels with spinners, Firestone whitewalls, Continental kit, and fender skirts. This 1956 Ford Thunderbird for sale is located in our Dallas-Fort Worth Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1988 BMW M6

1988 BMW M6

Engine: 3.5L I6 F DOHC
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual w/ OD
Mileage: 45,782 ( actual )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this classic 1988 BMW M6. It is powered by a 3.5L/256hp inline-six engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is a beautiful example of a rare BMW M6. Values on M6’s are constantly increasing from year to year. Currently they are still affordable but who knows how long before they become a six-figure collectible car. Engine sizes gradually increased to 3.2-liters then 3.5-liters, but the 6-Series really hit a bullseye with the M635CSi, which appeared at Frankfurt in 1983. Apart from the 282-bhp M1 engine, it had a limited-slip differential and the “track link” suspension from the big 7-Series sedans, which was designed to reduce oversteer. ABS brakes arrived at the same time, along with a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed ZF automatic. Badged simply as the BMW M6, the 635CSi finally reach the U.S. in 1987, lavishly equipped with twin air-conditioners (and a beverage chiller in the rear), hand-stitched Napa leather interior with eight-way power front seats, and an eight-speaker sound system. Distinctive M6 details included M badges front and rear, a larger front air dam and rear spoiler, and matching color side mirrors. The cars were fitted with new ellipsoid headlights, which directed a more precise beam onto the road. The M6 could manage 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds, a quarter mile in 14.7 seconds and cruised easily at 140 mph. It retailed for $55,950. BMW electronically limited even its sportiest models to 155 mph in the U.S., but Rug Cunninham BMW ran a de-limited M6 in the 1989 La Carrera Pan American race in Mexico and reported a top speed of 176 mph. In all 5,859 M 635 CSi cars were built between 1983 and 1989, with 1,787 of those being the slightly detuned U.S. model BMW M6. The Original Wheels and Exhaust are available with this vehicle. 1992 Chevrolet Corvette

1992 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 5.7L V8 OHV 16V
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 25,359 ( actual )

Now available in our Dallas/Ft. Worth Showroom is this 1992 Chevrolet Corvette. Are you ready zip around either through the city, down the highway or back country roads? Well if so, this 1992 Chevrolet Corvette is waiting for you. The ’92 falls into the C4 (4th generation) of Vettes and represents a complete clean break from the Zora Arkus-Duntov-designed C3, with a completely new chassis and sleeker, more modern but still evolutionary styling. It was the work of a team under chief Corvette designer Dave McLellan, who'd taken over from Duntov in 1975. In a departure from the fiberglass panels of its forebearers, the C4's rear bumpers and panels were made from molding plastics, a sheet molding compound. The C4 fastback coupe was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback for better storage access. The Corvette C4 came standard with an electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display dash, with graphics for speed and RPM and digital displays for other important engine functions. This white Corvette is equipped with a Targa top, air conditioning, power locks, power windows, power steering and brakes, cruise control and a tilt steering wheel. You’ll sit comfortably in the red leather power seats with lumbar support and have the fun of driving the 350 V8 with its 6-speed manual transmission. You’re bound to turn a lot of heads when you’re cruising in this awesome car! To view this 1992 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Dallas showroom located in DFW Airport, TX.
