1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 7,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. 1961 Oldsmobile 98

1961 Oldsmobile 98

Engine: 394 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 21,159 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this single family owned 1961 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. These classic beauties make for great weekend cruisers and a Sunday driver. That is exactly what this car was used for through-out its lifetime. The current owners great grandfather drove this beauty to church every Sunday and kept in stored in a garage it’s whole life. Apart from some surface rust this car is a great survivor. This Old’s 98 is powered by the original and strong running 394 CID V8 also known as the “Sky Rocket” back in it’s prime. It’s stated by the owner of the vehicle that the mileage is original to the car. I will say based on condition of the car and the history it’s not impossible. With that type of mileage this car is only averaging 371 miles per year, THAT’S INSANE! The engine is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission and is a breeze to drive. The interior remains in very good condition considering the age of the classic. With the blue cloth interior and original instrument panel this car really puts you back into the ‘60s. Something very cool is the vintage radio still working in the car. Unlike modern radios, this one takes a moment to warm up prior to your favorite tunes coming on. They really did a great job with the attention to detail in the 60s to include the intricate “Oldsmobile” badging in the center of the steering wheel. Whether your looking for a nice cruiser or something to put your personal spin on, this is a great car for both options. 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40

1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40

Engine: 258 CID I6
Transmission: 4- Speed Manual
Mileage: 97,496 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in the Houston showroom is this 1980 Toyota FJ40, and it's one of the finest examples you'll find of the legendary Land Cruiser FJ series. Fresh out of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, this is one you need to get while you can! These trucks are extremely well-known for being bullet-proof reliable and supremely capable off-roaders. This family of 4WD trucks continues to increase in value, especially the nicer ones. Finding a nice one can be difficult, since so many of these trucks have been bashed, abused, and just plain used up in the years before they made it to the collectors' A-list. Fortunately, this 1980 Land Cruiser is very clean, with a superb gray paint job that really fits the persona of the vehicle. During its restoration, it benefited from plenty of attention. The engine was rebuilt by Harric Motor Works, the transmission was checked thoroughly and resealed, new U-joints and new steering joints, new master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch and new pressure plate, new radiator, all new hoses, new wheel bearings and seals were installed at all 4 corners, new front tie rod, new power steering pump, a new 4-inch lift kit, full roll cage, and new body mounts were installed. You'll find the interior is far more civilized than you'd expect for purpose-built off-roader like this, with comfortable and supportive aftermarket high-back bucket seats with plenty of side bolster to keep you securely in place during your off-roading adventures. Twin folding seats in back expand passenger capacity, and with its grippy spray-in bedliner type coating on the floors, you can get dirty and hose it right out. Toyota's 2F 4.2-liter inline-six have powered Land Cruisers for decades, and while it seems modest and underpowered, it's proven itself time and again in extremely demanding circumstances. Around town, it's smooth and torquey and the gear ratios are exactly right to make it feel quick and agile. Its 4.2L 2F engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission, and it sits on a new set of 33x10.5x15LT BFG Mud Terrain KM2 tires. This 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser for sale is sure please the adventurer in all of us! Options on this superb 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser include: Aluminum Alloy Wheels, 4x4, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seats.
