1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

Engine: 6230cc
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 67,987 ( undocumented )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. The design was a major departure from its predecessor, the Silver Cloud, and aside from a more modern appearance, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc rather than drum brakes, monocoque construction, and independent rear suspension, rather than the outdated live axle design of previous cars. The Shadow featured a 172 hp 6.2 L V8 from 1965 to 1969, and a 189 hp 6.75 L V8 from 1970 to 1980. Both powerplants were coupled to a General Motors-sourced Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, except on pre-1970 right-hand-drive models, which used the same 4-speed automatic gearbox as the Silver Cloud. The car's most innovative feature was a high-pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroën, with dual-circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension. At first, both the front and rear of the car were controlled by the system; the front levelling was deleted in 1969 as it had been determined that the rear levelling did almost all the work. With this arrangement, Rolls-Royce achieved a high degree of ride quality. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, power windows, power steering, power brakes, leather interior, and seat belts, To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II

1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II

Engine: V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 97,764 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this Right Hand Drive 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II. The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow became the Silver Shadow II because of the significant changes it underwent in 1977. It was this year that the Silver Shadow got rack and pinion steering and modifications to the front suspension that improved handling considerably. This Rolls Royce also received Alloy/Rubber bumpers rather than the former chrome bumpers. This Silver Shadow II is powered by a 6.75 L V8 mated to a 3 speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. This Rolls Royce sports an attractive Metallic Brown paint job that looks great in the sun. Chrome accents running the length of the body contrast perfectly with the paint job. The wheels are even color matched. The beige interior with black piping is comfortable and spacious. Don’t hesitate to take this Rolls across country or to your local store. This RR features an additional Kenwood head unit. This Rolls Royce is certainly different than your everyday Rolls, so get it while you can!
