Engine: 389 V8Transmission: 3-Speed AutomaticMileage: 67,068 ( undocumented )
For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a classic red 1964 Pontiac Tempest LeMans GTO Tribute. In 1964 the Pontiac GTO was introduced as trim level of the Tempest, and the Muscle car era took off. Eventually in 1966, the GTO earned its own model designation, and again a trim option from 1972 to 1974. The GTO made a late model comeback in 2004, but most agree that Pontiac dropped the ball on the design of the car, and it was gone again after the 2006 model year. Many muscle cars would come and go, but the GTO would always be considered one of the best and most desired. The 64’ GTO was smaller than later models, sporty, and very quick. The exterior of this 1964 GTO Tribute is coated in a bright red that stands out, loud and proud. Looking inside the classic muscle car you will find black vinyl interior with a the heavily desired center console. Under the hood is a 389 CID V8 engine that is mated to a 3-spd automatic transmission with a B&M shifter. One unique feature of this '64 LeMans GTO Tribute is the fact that it has a direct drive timing gear which gives the impression that maybe this Pontiac isn't naturally aspirated! The odometer reads 67,068, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1964 Pontiac Tempest LeMans GTO Tribute include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. A red on black 1964 GTO Tribute is a welcomed addition to any show or cruise, the one that started it all always has a seat at the table. Engine: 400 CID V8Transmission: 3-Speed AutomaticMileage: 35,914 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars offers this 1970 Pontiac Le Mans. This one is finished in custom Orange paint with a Black interior. For 1970, Pontiac reshuffled its intermediate lineup with the Le Mans nameplate downgraded to the mid-line sub-series previously known as the Tempest Custom and included two- and four-door pillared sedans, while the previous top Le Mans series was renamed the Le Mans Sport. This year, bigger engines - which had previously been reserved for GTOs - were made available on lesser Tempest/Le Mans models including a 400 CID V8 rated at 265 hp (198 kW) with a two-barrel carburetor or a 330 hp (246 kW) option with a four-barrel carburetor and dual exhausts. Less expensive than the GTO, the T-37 hardtop coupe offered a GT-37 appearance package that included striping, three-speed floor shift transmission, tuned suspension and other trim. The GT-37 was available with any Tempest/Le Mans V8 from the standard 350 two-barrel to the 400 four-barrel. Engine: 350 CID V8Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 0 ( undocumented )
The Pontiac LeMans was introduced in 1961 as the top-of-the-line version of the Tempest, featuring sportier trim, special badging and bucket seats. The trim package was only available on the two-door pillared coupe. The LeMans was designated as a separate model in 1963. The third generation, 1968-1972, ushered in an all-new engine. The former 326 was bored to 353.84 cid with a two or four-barrel carburation and simply called “the 350”. The stout four-barrel version was rated at 325 hp. Turn the key on this 1970 Sport Convertible and you will feel that power! Finished in LeMans Blue, this beauty has undergone a full professional frame-off restoration with only 5,000 miles since completion. The numbers-matching 350 power plant has been rebuilt and detailed including a fresh +.0030 bore and new oversize pistons. The smooth 4-speed manual transmission is mated to a 3:53 possi rear end and finished off nicely with a Hurst shifter. Additional features include power steering, power brakes and a power convertible top. This gorgeous and very original Pontiac LeMans is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view the 1970 LeMans in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.som.
