From the side view you will notice the massive front fenders and the rear fenders are very large as well and have a molded skirt that covers the entire rear wheels. The rear of the car is beautiful as well with the large chrome bumper and fully enclosed spare tire giving this coupe a very classy look. For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this wonderful 1948 Lincoln Continental. This two owner, unrestored, time capsule of post war Americana has 56,234 actual miles on the odometer. Gateway Classic Cars is happy to present this 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III here in our Houston Showroom. This 2 door Mark III just screams class, as it has been meticulously cared for and maintained over its life. Dressed in a beautiful shiny white paint, this Mark III's long body lines gleam in the sun. This is a 2-owner car with the original owner being the grandmother of the current owner. It simply didn’t get enough driving time through the recent years and was stored away for about 6 years then brought back to life in August of 2017. Lucky for its future owner the 460 Cubic Inch V8 engine powering the classic ride has been carefully gone through to ensure a solid driving car in August of 2017 and only has around 150 miles on it since the rebuild. The engine is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts itself through the gear with no issue. The fuel tank was completely cleaned out along with the fuel lines, filter, and fuel level float as well. Some other beneficial restoration work that was done was a new fuel pump, carburetor rebuild, and fluids flushed then topped off. The 1970 Mark III was the first American made car to have radial tires as standard equipment. This Lincoln is a perfect car for any collector, enthusiast, or someone looking to join the classic car world. From wood grain to the stainless trim, it is really something to sit in and be surrounded by 70's American luxury. If you're not into running the A/C, then just hit the dual action power window switch and let the fresh air in as you cruise around town in this smooth floating ride. The leather seats are original and in good condition with minor cracking throughout which would be expected after 47 years. Engine: 460 CID V8Transmission: C6 3-speed AutomaticMileage: 18,596 ( actual )
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston has a rare opportunity for you to purchase a family owned since new, 18,596 original mile, 1973 Lincoln Mark IV! This car is original down to the tires that haven’t been changed since it was new. The current owner is the 3rd in his family to obtain the car but the Grandfather was the original purchaser. Powering this personal luxury car is a brutish 460 CID (7.5L) Ford 385 V8 engine mated to the C6 3-speed automatic transmission which are original to the car. 1973 was the second year for the successor to the Mark III. It grew in size and weight from its predecessor and was designed with the Cadillac Eldorado rival in mind. It certainly competed very well. It shared a common chassis with the Ford Thunderbird and was given its own exterior design from the windows down, returning hidden headlights, a radiator-style grille and a continental spare tire trunk lid. All the Continental Mark IVs were assembled at the Wixom assembly plant in Wixom, Michigan alongside the standard Lincoln Continental and the Ford Thunderbird. This was certainly a heavy car, coming in at a heft 5,264lbs! It feels like the kind of car you could drive through a wall without noticing. 1973 saw a major redesign, necessitated by the addition of the 5mph bumpers; in various forms, the front body style would be seen on Continentals and Lincolns until 1989. The engine in the Mark IV was rated considerably lower in both hp and torque than the 460 CID V8 used in the previous generation, however, this is largely due to that fact that they changed how they rated hp. Nationwide companies were made to switch from SAE gross to SAE net hp. This was done to better reflect real world hp figures. The compression ratio was lowered to comply with emissions standards but in many cases it only lowered power by around 10%. The SAE net hp of this car was 212.1hp which pushed this big brute to 120mph and could reach 60 in 10.8 seconds. Considering the car weighs as much as a modern-day Tahoe this was impressive for the year! Inside you will find AM/FM radio, cassette stack, spare tire, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, jack, power windows, ABS, tilt wheel, leather interior and radial tires. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. The car is in our showroom at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. If you are seeing the car advertised anywhere other than www.gatewayclassiccars.com then please visit the vehicle’s homepage for more info, pictures and a video of the car running and driving http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1255/1973-Lincoln-Mark-IV.

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this 1975 Lincoln Mark IV. As the successor of the Mark III, Ford Motor Company chose an evolutionary design path for the Mark IV. Ford designers again using sharp-edged fenders, hidden headlamps, and a tall radiator-style grille, the Continental Mark IV retained the traditional "long-hood, short deck" coupe proportions of the Mark III along with its "Continental spare tire" decklid. This Mark IV is shown in its original Aqua blue paint called “diamond fire”. The cars exterior finish is pristine and shows looks awesome in the sunshine. The blue vinyl top is also in fantastic condition. It features the popular 460 CID V8 that is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Both drive train components run very well with no issues. The car rides like it’s on a cloud and is a pleasure to drive. All accessories on the car work as they should. All weather seals are in great condition, including the glass it surrounds. The exterior trim, bumpers, light lenses, & more are all in very nice condition. Looking towards the interior the plush leather seats & door panels, carpet, headliner, & seatbelts are all in excellent condition. On the dash, you will find all working Cartier gauges on this signature Mark IV. The car sits on its original Lincoln hub caps wrapped in Michelin tires with plenty of tread on them left. The Mark IV’s engine compartment & trunk are also in great condition, it looks as if this car has been indoors its entire life! Other notable features include; AC (blows cold!), AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, tilt steering wheel, leather interior, & white wall tires. This Mark IV is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to a collection or to use as a daily driver! Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a handsome 1977 Lincoln Mark V. In the 1970s, a luxury car was all about presence. With gas costing just a few dimes per gallon, an expanding network of interstate highways, and a surviving obsession with cubic inches, this Lincoln is the epitome of 1970s American excess. With a body totaling nearly 20 feet long, and a hood about the size of a queen sized mattress, there is no shortage of... car. Pop that massive hood and you'll uncover a 460 CID V8 which is more than capable of pulling this land yacht down the highway in style and comfort. The transmission is of course and automatic, and power everything (nearly) leaves the driver in control, yet completely relaxed. This is the type of car you can steer with one finger. This particular Mark V sports a white exterior with a white landau top. The interior features white leather upholstery to match as well as some blue accent pieces for a little contrast. The car is in good surviving original condition and has only 80,773 showing on the odometer. Engine: 5.0L V8 Transmission: AutoMileage: 25,788 ( actual )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a low mile 1981 Lincoln MKVI. This Bill Blass Edition Lincoln has covered an original 25,788 miles and is on its second owner. This is "the little old lady car to church on Sundays." The condition of this low mileage gem is near new and drives like it too. It’s obvious that this one has been garaged and stored in the winter away from any winter roads. Equipment is plentiful as it should for a Lincoln. Power seats, Power windows with power smoker's vent window, Power locks, Cruise control, Tilt steering wheel and leather. Power comes from an exceptionally smooth 302 V8 and shifts through an automatic transmission. The Designer Series such as the Bill Blass Edition demanded a premium and was one of the most expensive cars built in America. The Bill Blass Edition was accompanied by three more Designer Series; The Cartier Designer Series, The Givenchy Designer Series and the Pucci Designer Series. They all came with their own color scheme and sold well. This new series began in 1980 and came to an end in 1983. The smaller Lincoln equipped with the fuel injected 302, was Lincoln’s answer to the gas crisis. A light weight with a smaller appetite was just what the doctor ordered. The outgoing heavy MK V was far heavier and equipped with a 460 or a 351 V8 making for a gas tank that you couldn’t keep full. This was a short run when compared to other Lincolns, making for fewer collectible examples on today’s market. This may be the best one available. Don’t miss out! For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for a closer look. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com
