1955 Volkswagen Beetle

1955 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 6991 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1955 Volkswagen Beetle. Volkswagen Beetle’s are one of the most recognized cars in the world, and this 1955 VW Beetle will be recognized more than most. When purchasing a classic car, it always helps when the vehicle has had a long-term owner. History is everything when it comes to dealing with these cars. This “Bug” was a one owner vehicle for 30 years, which means it comes with extensive knowledge. In 2014, it was fully restored with the original body being placed on a 1975 pan. The car shows no rust, which Volkswagens were notorious for. Along with the new restoration, Teal paint was applied. Inside you’ll find newer grey cloth interior accented by green LED interior lights. This isn’t your typical ‘55 VW Beetle “Oval.” Roll the windows down, crank up the sound system, and you can be the life of the party. The system omits a booming 600 watts that will make the average “Shore Blvd” seem like the happening spot. If it gets too hot, turn on the frigid A/C and cool off. When it comes to customizing a vehicle, stance places a big role. What type of persona do you want the car to present? Judging by the stance put forth by the IRS suspension, this car oozes coolness. This car will not only be a local legend, it already has appeared in several magazine articles. With only 20,000 miles since being restored 5 years ago, there is a long life ahead of this car. You can jump on the highway and take a cross country trip in this car, especially with the highway gears it has in it which came out of a Super Beetle. Don’t worry about stopping either. This 55 Beetle is sporting disc brakes all the way around. Options include A/C, AM/FM CD Radio, Power Windows, Seat Belts, 17’’ Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Spare Tire. This 1955 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1963 Volkswagen Beetle

1963 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1300cc Air Cooled 4-Cylinder
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 57783 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer to our world-wide customer-base this really nice 1963 Volkswagen Beetle "ragtop". This is the vernacular that VW enthusiasts use when referencing a Beetle sedan with a partial moveable soft top that can be opened or closed manually. This little cutie is a dependable driver that the new owner can have a lot of fun in. The colors on this two-tone Bug are authentic VW colors for the era, it's just that all were solid colors. The two-tone on this car looks like the factory should have done them this way; it really highlights the classic lines of this final-year-for-the-ragtop Beetle. It still has the six-volt electrical system, adequate for a car that has no options at all. This is why these cars were, and continue to be, very popular. They're easy to fix and are virtually indestructible. This one's ready to go and will give you many "smiles per gallon". Don't miss this one as someone is bound to buy it before you if you hesitate. Remember yesterdays thinkers are todays buyers. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this cool 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Mileage: 16356 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pumped to present this ultra-fun 1964 Volkswagen Baja Beetle for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. A Baja Beetle is essentially a VW Beetle modified to operate off-road that became a popular trend in the 1960’s following the success of dune buggies. It features body modifications such as a fiberglass trunk lid, removal of running boards and the opening of the rear engine compartment to save weight as well as aiding with cooling. The ride height of this Baja Bug has been raised and has upgraded suspension as well as larger wheels and tires to provide more damping control and greater comfort off-road. When people see you in this Baja bug, it will put a smile on both yours and their faces. Thank you for your interest in this sharp looking 1964 Volkswagen Beetle located at our Tampa location. This imported baby blue Beetle has been restored and is ready to tackle the streets. This might be the most stylish Beetle that Gateway Classic Cars has ever had the honor of listing for sale. The 1600cc engine and 4 speed manual transmission combination has been used for many years in the Beetles and there is a reason why, this car is still to this day running and driving strong. This car was imported from Spain about 2 years ago and has been repainted to a unique baby blue that turns heads everywhere it goes. Although the paint was freshly done, all the panels are still original. The real style comes from the chrome wheels and lowered suspension. The interior is wrapped in beige cloth that flows with the exterior paint for the overall desired look. This Beetle does have many features that include A/C, AM/FM radio, seat belts, and cloth interior. 1964 models could be identified by a widened light housing on the engine lid over the rear license plate, however the standard model continued to use the old teardrop style to the end of the 1965 model run. The VW Beetle has been very successful from the beginning of its existence. Perfect for any collection, this little blue Beetle is sure to sell fast. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very unique 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Truck. It is titled as a 1967 VW Beetle, but has been heavily customized and now features an early 1900’s Ford pickup bed. In order to achieve the stance, the front end was dropped and extended. Also the roof has been chopped and removed along with the front fenders for a low profile and open wheel sporty look. The BMW Sparkling Bronze Metallic paint was applied about a year ago and is accented by the wood bed perfectly. The rally wheels were painted gold, which helps bring the custom brown and gold interior along for the ride of this killer, and unique build. Powering this 67’ VW is a 1910cc 4-cylinder HiPo engine that has been bored and features a larger head and valves, along with a larger cam. Custom dual exhaust provides a great sound to this little engine that could. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the meaty radial tires out back smoothly and worry free. The odometer reads 57,167, which is believed to be the overall actual mileage on the vehicle. Options for this 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Truck include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Custom Wheels. 1968 Volkswagen Beetle

1968 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1600 CC Flat 4cyl
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 3500 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. Many will say the Bug is responsible for what we know as the interstate highway system that we have today. In the early 30’s a crazy man in Germany wanted to make a “high-speed” system of roads to move people and product through his country. Little did we know at the time this man would become to known as the Furor and the real reason for these roads was to move troops quickly. I think we know how that worked out for him, not very well. Unlike Adolf the Bug would live on for many decades to come and much like him have a colt following that lives on today. This 1968 Beetle, Bug, or people mover is a notable example of why people fell in love with these little, almost indestructible cars. Sporting its flashy red paint and accented with those classic chrome bumpers it gets as many looks as cars twice its price. The roof rack with its stained wood gives it an original classic look. The matching deck lid rack only adds to the appeal. Under that deck lid a brand new, not rebuilt, 1600CC engine is tucked away making this a great candidate for your teen’s first car. Open the doors and you will notice the classic interior is in very good condition. Yet still the part that gets me is this car is a radio delete car. If you go underneath the car you will notice that the floorboards are spotless. Unlike many VW’s that have anything from house siding to stop signs these floorboards are original to the car. The original owner’s manual and toolkit are in the trunk something else you rarely see with one of these beauties. If you have been thinking about getting a great classic car that will always be in style or classic that is a blast to drive but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do so this little piece of history will be a perfect fit. Options on this 1968 Volkswagen Beetle include; Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Volkswagen Bug is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1970 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1835 CC

Mileage: 11525 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super cool 1970 Volkswagen Beetle. This little Beetle has come a long way since rolling off the assembly line in 1970. Gone is the original flat four which would’ve had something in the neighborhood of 57 horsepower. In it’s place is a freshly built Willy’s Racing Engines Dual Port 1,825cc. This screaming air cooler has twin34 Weber carbs, as well as a custom exhaust which allows it to really breathe. The result is about 200 horsepower and one of the fastest Beetles around. The car will attract a crowd everywhere it goes. It wears bright lime green and black two tone paint, and sports a unique roof “snorkel” which scoops air into the oil cooler. The transmission has been upgraded to a “Freeway Flyer” 4 speed and even the interior has been fully updated. As if it needed another way to gather attention, it’s party trick is the tilt forward fiberglass front end. What a great way to get into the classic car hobby. This Beetle could be the star of your next cruise night, and for a fraction of the price of a restored muscle car. The really fun part is, with the light weight, and the increased horsepower, you might even surprise a few muscle cars off the line! 1973 Volkswagen Beetle

1973 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 2055 c.c.
Transmission: 4 speed Manual
Mileage: 72305 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The new larger Beetle was sold as the 1302/1302 S. The sole purpose of the big Beetle was to provide increased luggage capacity, which grew 50%. MacPhearson front suspension was incorporated, like what was used in the Type 4, and the front track was widened. The new suspension layout allowed the spare tire to be positioned flat under the trunk floor, although the car had to be lengthened slightly to accomplish this. This also allowed a reduction in turning radius. To gain additional room, the under-dash panel was lowered, allowing the fuel tank to be shifted rearward. From the windscreen back, the big Beetle was identical to its smaller progenitor, except for having the semi-trailing arm rear suspension as standard equipment. This Beetle comes to us in stunning condition with an incredibly healthy 2055CC stroker engine that propels this bug down the road with gusto. This one is one of a kind. The interior has been finely upgraded with an incredibly thick padded blue vinyl seats and the tuck and roll motif carries into the trunk where custom panels are in place to cover the power amp up front. Equipped with a nicely appointed sound system this beetle not only sounds great but runs with the best of them. This little bug is a real neat little crawler. Make it yours today.
