If you want to capture everyone's attention, you'll do it with this beautiful 1963 Studebaker Avanti. It's sleek, it's sexy, and it's one unique car! The Studebaker Avanti was a significant breakthrough design in post-war America. The car's design theme is the result of sketches Sherwood Egbert "doodled" on a jet-plane flight west from Chicago 37 days after becoming president of Studebaker in February 1961. Today, it still looks ahead of its time. This Studebaker Avanti packs a rebuilt 289 cubic inch engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, which has also been rebuilt. The white frame-off restored exterior is complimented with a beautiful red interior. You will be sure to get plenty of double takes as you drive this beauty around town! This beautiful 1963 Avanti for sale is located in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call (262) 891-4253 for additional information.

Engine: 350 CID V8Transmission: M22 4-Speed ManualMileage: 9,000 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a rarely seen 1963 Studebaker Avanti with a 4 speed. This frame off restored Avanti is powered by a 350 CID V8 engine with aluminum valve covers and a chrome K&N air filter. A Muncie M22 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter transfers the power to the rear end. The body is painted a beautiful shade of green that has a very slight metallic flake. The paint is in very good condition, and the car shines up well. The gray interior features vinyl and cloth upholstery, and a wood grain steering wheel provides a nice touch to the overall appearance of the interior. The Avanti was a personal luxury coupe produced by The Studebaker Corporation June 1962 and December 1963. It originated as a doodle on a napkin in a jet plane west of Chicago by Sherwood Egbert just 37 days after he took over as President of Studebaker in February 1961. It was marketed as "America's only 4 passenger high-performance personal car." The Avanti broke nearly 30 records at the Booneville Salt Flats in Utah. Unfortunately the Studebaker factory in South Bend, IN shut down in December of 1963, and only 5800 Avanti's were produced during the production run. The naming rights to "Avanti" were purchased, and the Avanti II was produced from some years. The odometer on this 63' Avanti reads 40,911, the actual mileage is unknown, but approximately 9,000 miles have been enjoyed in the car since the restoration was complete. Options for this 1963 Studebaker Avanti include: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Vinyl and Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, and Custom Steel Wheels. This is a great example of a Studebaker Avanti, and will have Studebaker followers at all the local show or cruise.
