1947 Chevrolet 3800

1947 Chevrolet 3800

Engine: I-6
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 16,219 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this restored 1947 Chevrolet 3800. This massive 1 ton is a big-time head turner, not only for its size but for the clean frame off restoration that was done as well. The restoration was completed by Dave Chapman @ Hollister RD Motors. The truck features a stout I6 which doesn’t seem like much, but it will push you down the road with ease. The engine has roughly 1,600 miles on it since the rebuild and is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. The truck also features 4:11 gears, power steering, and of course A/C to keep you cool out on the farm. Moving around the truck you will see it’s sprayed in a sleek butternut yellow. With color matching wheels and a massive 9ft bed, this truck is sure to take home a price at your local car show. This pickup was also known as the Thriftmaster and was the first year of truck series by Chevrolet after WWII. A fun fact is that from 1947-1955 these trucks were the number one in sales in the United States. If that doesn’t scream America I don’t know what does. Some other options include 4-wheel disk brakes, matching spare tire, and custom wood bed. Jumping into the drivers seat you will be comforted by an original styled bench seat that is in great condition. Another neat feature is the manual shifter mounted in the floor. In 1948 Chevrolet decided to change the mounting point up to the column making this what is to be believed as a 1-year option on this truck. 1948 Oldsmobile 98

Engine: Ram Jet 502
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 21,484 ( undocumented )

We are tremendously proud to offer for sale at our Saint Louis Showroom the first 1948 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible that we've ever had in our inventory. After full restoration with modernizations in 2006, this classic has only accumulated 21,484 miles. Her jet-black beauty with tan leather interior courts the attention of everyone who dares to lay their eyes upon. If Medusa had such demanding allure as this Oldsmobile 98, all the Greeks god would have turned to stone. This restoration represents the first year of the Third Generation (1948–1953) of the 1948 Oldsmobile 98 of which 65,235 were sold. This Generation drew heavily from the Futuramic styling concept that would be used on all 1949 Oldsmobiles. One of the reasons for you to be as excited about this rare gem as we are is because of what is underneath the hood, where you will find a Ram Jet 502 Engine (Chevy Big-Block V-8) that has a maximum Recommended rpm of 5800. It also comes equipped with 11-inch drilled and slotted Power Disk Brakes, Auto Meter Gauges, three-inch stainless-steel exhaust cut through the bumpers, and turn signals also set in the bumper guards. Inside you will find all the creature comforts that make driving this girl easy and fun; such as Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Keyless Entry, Tan Leather Seats from a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado, and an AM/FM Cassette/CD Player. The top is without blemish and transitions smoothly into its convertible position. The interior and exterior are both in awesome condition - without a noticeable scratch, dent, tear, stain, or odor. This beauty is ready to drive fast and win car shows on day one, and with very few of these still available, they also make for a great investment in your portfolio. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1948 Oldsmobile 98 by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1949 Chevrolet 3800 Flatbed

1949 Chevrolet 3800 Flatbed

Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 66,139 ( undocumented )

This 1949 Chevrolet 3800 Flat Bed truck is for sale in our Louisville Ky Showroom. Chevrolet's new truck series were GM's first new post-war vehicles, as well as America's first new post-war trucks. The 'Advance Style' trucks, with integrated headlights and larger cab, started an industry trend, and the switch from horizontal to vertical front grille set Chevy's trucks apart from all others on the road. Soon all truck builders were redesigning their cabs for three-person seating and more comfort. Advance Design trucks were offered in different several models, identified by a four-digit number displayed on both sides of the hood. Half-ton trucks were 3100 series, with 3/4-ton trucks getting a 3600 designation and 1 ton trucks having the 3800 designation. This beauty is powered by a 235 Cubic Inch Inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission that finishes out with a heavy-duty rear end with dual tires. The dual tires allow for heavier loads by displacing the load over two tires versus one on each side. The Truck has been meticulously restored by the nephew of the original owner. A labor of love here as the family worked together to bring back a piece of history and fond family memories. The dark green paint (color code 93-62006) is in very good shape. Inside the truck is simple with only a vinyl bench seat and the necessary controls to operate the truck. This 1949 Chevrolet 3800 Flat Bed truck is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1950 Packard Deluxe 8

1950 Packard Deluxe 8

Engine: Straight 8
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 79,290 ( undocumented )

Go Pack(ard) GO!!!! We have an awe inspiring 1950 Packard Deluxe 8. This is decked out to commemorate the Green Bay Packers. It features a 356ci Straight 8 with a 2 speed auto trans. Take this beauty tailgating to all the games, you will not be disappointed in the amount of heads that will turn while driving this beauty! Although the postwar Packards sold well, the ability to distinguish expensive models from lower-priced models disappeared as all Packards, whether sixes or eights, became virtually alike in styling. Further, amid a booming seller's market, management had decided to direct the company more to volume middle-class models, thus concentrating on selling lower-priced cars instead of more expensive—and more profitable—models. Worse, they also tried to enter the taxi cab and fleet car market. The idea was to gain volume for the years ahead, but that target was missed: Packard simply was not big enough to offer a real challenge to the Big Three, and lacked the deep pockets with which a parent company could shelter them, as well as the model lineup through which to spread the pricing. As a result, Packard's image as a luxury brand was further eroded. As Packard lost buyers of expensive cars, it could not find enough customers for the lesser models to compensate. The shortage of raw materials immediately after the war—which was felt by all manufacturers—hurt Packard more with its volume business than it would have had it had focused on the specialty luxury car market. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1950 Packard Deluxe 8 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Let’s start with the walk around. Is there a better color combination than white and turquoise for a car like this? Just to see the car from the front is amazing. The big chrome grill is a piece of art. The lines of the body move flawless from the front over the rear bumper. This is a hardtop coupe so the lines do not get distracted by a b pillar. 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88

1957 Oldsmobile Super 88

Engine: 371 CID V8
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 39,264 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to offer this beautiful 1957 Oldsmobile 88. 1957 Oldsmobile 88 Coupe Oldsmobile showed a real propensity for power in the 50s. The 304-cu.in. OHV V-8 that the division introduced in 1948 ran 7.25:1 compression and had only 135hp on tap; by 57, less than a decade later, the base Rocket T-400 V-8 displaced 371-cu.in., sported 9.5:1 compression, and was rated at 277 horsepower-more than double the earlier 88s output. That was the base engine. For an extra kick in the pants, you could order the J2 option (code W). J2 had been around as a performance option since the early 50s, but for 1957 and 58, J2 ran three two-barrel carburetors. Historically, Oldsmobiles J2 beat Pontiacs Tri-Power to market by a matter of weeks. Olds had been developing 3x2-bbl carburetion for a couple of years under Pete Estes, an engine-development engineer and assistant chief engineer at Olds before he became chief engineer at Pontiac in September 1956. In December of 56, Pontiac announced Tri-Power for a spring release-no doubt prepared with information Estes brought with him from Oldsmobile. It caught his former co-workers off-guard, and they had to scramble to ready the J2 intake for a late January/early February launch as a mid-year option. This is one gorgeous 1957 Oldsmobile, and best of all it has the 371ci J-2 engine with three 2-barrel carburetors and the Hydramatic automatic transmission. The J-2 engine was rated at 300hp and 415 ft lbs of torque. This car doesnt have power steering or power brakes but that because when it was new it was ordered to go fast and didnt want the extra weight and power drain. In 1957 this was one of the fastest production cars on the market, and today is still such an iconic car. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1957 Oldsmobile 88, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. 1961 Oldsmobile 98

1961 Oldsmobile 98

Engine: 394 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 21,159 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this single family owned 1961 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. These classic beauties make for great weekend cruisers and a Sunday driver. That is exactly what this car was used for through-out its lifetime. The current owners great grandfather drove this beauty to church every Sunday and kept in stored in a garage it’s whole life. Apart from some surface rust this car is a great survivor. This Old’s 98 is powered by the original and strong running 394 CID V8 also known as the “Sky Rocket” back in it’s prime. It’s stated by the owner of the vehicle that the mileage is original to the car. I will say based on condition of the car and the history it’s not impossible. With that type of mileage this car is only averaging 371 miles per year, THAT’S INSANE! The engine is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission and is a breeze to drive. The interior remains in very good condition considering the age of the classic. With the blue cloth interior and original instrument panel this car really puts you back into the ‘60s. Something very cool is the vintage radio still working in the car. Unlike modern radios, this one takes a moment to warm up prior to your favorite tunes coming on. They really did a great job with the attention to detail in the 60s to include the intricate “Oldsmobile” badging in the center of the steering wheel. Whether your looking for a nice cruiser or something to put your personal spin on, this is a great car for both options. Gateway Classic Cars is privileged to offer for purchase in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom this stunning and highly desirable 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet. The exterior is a beautiful, rich dark green with a thick cognac leather interior. The documentation for this vehicle includes a binder full of service records and the original owner’s manual. Features on this collector quality vehicle includes air conditioning, power windows, power steering, steering column automatic transmission, power disc brakes, and Becker Europa AM/FM radio with power antenna. Mercedes-Benz's elegant Paul Bracq-designed W111 made its debut in 1959 and was produced, in its many variations, through 1971. Among the most desirable variations were the two-door models—the 280 SE Cabriolet and Coupe—which were expensive, virtually hand-built automobiles hailing from the great tradition of German craftsmanship. The wood trim throughout the interior were all genuine solid hardwood. The leather upholstery is thick and comfortable; and both the ride quality and handling are superb. These cars rapidly became favorites of international socialites and celebrities, and they were frequently seen cruising in all of the world's most posh destinations. Just less than 1,400 280SE Cabriolets were assembled from 1968-1971. Their rarity, performance, handling, craftsmanship are all blended perfectly into a design that has become iconic. It is no wonder why the 280SE has become one of the most recognized classic Mercedes-Benz models sought after by collectors today. 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C

1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C

Engine: I-6
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 35,909 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we proudly present this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C. The 280C was a 2 door coupe variant of the W114 chassis sedans. The coupe variants featured styling which was sleek yet understated at the same time. This example was of the first year of the slightly restyled body with a lower hood line and broader grill than before. While the W114 chassis dates back to 1968 the design was kept fresh with the removal of quarter windows in the front door and Mercedes’ soon to be signature ribbed (for your safety) tail lights. The W114 chassis, much like all Mercedes-Benz models from this era, is an extremely durable and reliable car. This example is an unrestored “survivor” and truly does show how well these cars hold up with simple routine maintenance. Cosmetically this car is in very fine shape. Its original silver paint still shows very well and proves what masters of paint Mercedes-Benz was at the time. Complementing the Silver paint is a tan interior giving the entire car a classic look. Powering the vehicle is the original spec 2.8 Liter M110 inline six cylinder engine. As any Mercedes aficionado will tell you, the M110 series of engines is extremely reliable and will pack on the miles with pleasure. This 280C is equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, power steering, seat belts, leather interior, and radial tires. This one is unique for several reasons, and it's a beautiful example of the "Z" series from Datsun, they were entering the sports car arena beginning in 1970 with the 240Z. The 1978 280Z models were the most refined of all the Z-series cars to that point. This year, the manual five-speed transmission was first available in North America-bound cars. Very few 5-spds were ordered from the factory; most were 4-spds. This was also the first and only year for black being an available color on Z-cars. They were known as "Black Pearl Edition" models. Additional refinements can be found in convenience options like air conditioning. 1978 was the first year that it was an integrated system, not a "hang-on" type installation.
