1953 Chevrolet 150

1953 Chevrolet 150

Engine: 235 Cubic Inch INline 6 Cylinder
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 97,076 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Tampa showroom is this unique 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air roadster. This machine is sure to draw heads due to its out of the box styling. The 1953 Bel Air is one of the most famous cars there is. Due to the way that the Bel Air shaped the automotive industry for over a decade. The 1953–1954 Chevrolet range had a unique and somewhat awkward look about it and much of this stemmed from its role as a transitional model to introduce a raft of changes that were necessary to pave the way for the introduction of the 1955–1957 range that really established the Bel Air as a cultural icon. The pre-war technology, such as torque tube drive, six-cylinder splash feed engines, knee action suspension, split windshields, etc., of the early models was phased out and the foundations for the first post war modern Chevrolet passenger car were finalized in this 1953–1954 model. The Bel Air series featured a wide chrome strip of molding from the rear fender bulge to the rear bumper. The inside of this stripe was painted a coordinating color with the outside body color, and "Bel Air" scripts were added inside the strip. Lesser models had no model designation anywhere on the car, only having a Chevy crest on the hood and trunk. 1953 was the first year for a curved, one-piece windshield. Which brings us to this unique 53 Chevy Bel Air. The first thing that will jump out at you is that the car has been converted entirely to a roadster. Feel the wind in your hair as you cruise down the highway thanks to the 235 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder and three on the tree manual transmission combo. Everyone will stop and look at the white and blue two-tone style Eastwood paint. Pulling the exterior together a mixture of chrome and white wheels draws your attention. With 97,076 miles this vehicle will be sure to show you enjoyment for some time to come. The grey interior is unique also. 1959 Ford F500 Dump Truck

1959 Ford F500 Dump Truck

Engine: 292 CID I6
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 59 ( undocumented )

Newly restored and ready for work or being the talking piece of any car show. Under 50 miles since a cosmetic restoration help make the yellow exterior on this truck as well as the black vinyl seat look better than the day it was new inside and out. Since back in 1959 these Ford F500 dump trucks were built to work not many of them were lucky enough to survive this long and be taken such great care of. Providing the low end torque needed to move any full load in this truck is the straight 6-Cylinder engine that is mated to a 4-Speed manual transmission. Both of which are numbers matching and original to the F500. Also original to this Ford is the 2-Speed rear end that brings back memories for those of us that grew up in rural areas and learned to drive in grain trucks. Moving to where the magic happens on this truck towards the rear is the black dump bed that is in just as great of shape as the rest of the truck proving it has had a pampered live. One of the best parts about this F500 is that the dump bed and all of its parts are still in working order and can be used like it was ment to be. Helping keep you under control no matter whether empty or loaded down are the brand new brakes all around. While the brand new tires keep you on the road. You can view this 1959 Ford F500 Dump Truck in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1967 Ford F250

1967 Ford F250

Engine: 352 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 32,424 ( undocumented )

This 1967 Ford F250 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The F250 was Fords workhorse of the bunch. Built for the working class and used primarily as work/fleet vehicles there are not of these 5th generation ¾ ton trucks left. This example is a 2-owner truck with most of its life spent on a farm seeing much of its life hauling and running around that very place. With a mere 32000 miles showing on the odmeter it is bealived to be original to the truck.Bought in 2000 from that same farmer the truck needed some love but still ran great with the original 352 engine and 4-speed transmission in proper running condition. The decision was made shortly after that to bring this truck back to its original glory. Disassembled and separated from the frame with the actual cab was tossed for a new one. The hood was also exchanged for a new one ensuring any rust issues were solved. The last piece of the puzzle was the bed which wound up having to be scrapped as well with a new one taking its place. The decision was then made to go back with the original color giving the truck that factory look. The wood bed not only looks great and is something you won’t see on a new truck anytime soon. With all new glass and seals installed the exterior of the truck was really coming together. The bumpers and trim were installed giving the truck that straight from the factory look. Open the door and the dark red cloth bench seat not only looks great but is quite comfortable. The under-dash AC is a nice option for this F250 keeping you nice and cool and those hot summer days. The seller has enjoyed the fruit of his labors for the past 8 years and is now ready to let some other lucky person enjoy this one of a kind F250. Options on this frame off restored 1967 Ford F250 include, AC, AM/FM/Cassette, Power Steering, Cloth Interior, and Radial Tires. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this super awesome sleeper 1969 GMC 1500. Between the clean look and the aggressive powertrain, this is a fun truck. Under the hood of this classic square body is a Weiand supercharged 350 CID V8 engine putting out quite a bit of power. Topping the Weiand blower off is a four-barrel carburetor fitted with an Edelbrock air cleaner. The engine also features Edelbrock valve covers that accent the air cleaner nicely. Sending that boosted power to the rear end is a turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission that shifts crisply through the gears. Providing cranking power to that big V8 is an Optima Redtop battery for added reliability and power over a traditional lead-acid battery. Sending the exhaust gasses to the rear of the vehicle are stainless steel headers. When it comes time to stop this big truck, the driver will appreciate the power brakes. Moving outward, the truck maintains the sleeper look with original styling. The body is finished in an olive-green paint that is in decent condition. 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL

Engine: 4.5L FI V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 114,983 ( actual )

Now up for grabs at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston location is this very rare 1972 Mercedes Benz 350sl. 1971 marked the beginning of the now famous and highly sought after R107 chassis 2-seat convertible roadster. This line of the model started as 350SL coupes in 1971 with a 3.5L V8, but in 1972 they upgraded to the much more powerful and reliable 4.5L V8 but this is where this cars rarity comes into play, only for 72’ was the car denoted as a 350SL but was outfitted with the larger 4.5L V8. In 1973 they shifted the name to 450SL to fall in line with the engine liter size, just as they do today in their new cars. Since it was a new model to the brand at the time the production numbers weren’t that high thus adding to these early models appreciation value. There are not many on the market for sale in this condition as many suffer from rust issues. The car is outfitted with a strong running 4.5L V8 that utilizes the reliable Bosch D Jetronic fuel injection electronic engine management system. With less than 115k actual miles on the car the power plant has plenty of life in her. The V8 is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission that provides enough acceleration power but also gives a nice driving experience that the SL line is so well known for. The drive train seems solid from front to back and the car is fun to drive. Looking at the car drive by you’ll be drawn in by the very recent & refreshed new paint job. It was repainted back to its original color and it came out very well. The body panels are appear to be original to the car. The doors open & close with ease and the body panel gaps align & are even. Of course, this is almost a 50-year-old car that is mostly original. It isn’t a concourse car, but still shows well. The light lenses & their houses are in a great shape with no cracks. The grill, bumpers, & emblems are in very nice condition. Stepping into the driver’s seat you will find a very nice saddle colored interior that looks great & has been partially refreshed with new seats. The door panels, carpet, rear deck area, headliner, & dash are in superb condition for 46 years old. The owner was going to update the center console vent controls with a later model, but wanted to keep the car original in case the new owner would prefer that. The seats are very comfortable and soft to the touch. The interior just allows you to slip in and enjoy your time cruising around town. While you are zooming around the city the owner installed an aftermarket radio & speakers. The convertible top is new and operates with ease. The top is in very nice condition with no tears or rips, the plastic in the back is clear and generally looks great against the black body & saddle colored interior. The car has been well maintained and garage kept for most of its life. There has been several updated and replaced items on the car. Looking at the engine bay you will see a very clean and tidy area that has many items in very new & nice condition. Coolant hoses, brake master cylinder, spark plug wires & ignition parts, fuel pump, exhaust, & many other noticeable items have been maintained/serviced. The car is rust free and will only go up in value as these classic Mercedes SL’s become rarer every day. Don’t miss your chance to get a piece of history and call us with an offer today! This generation was launched in December 1972 for the 1973 model year. These were the last generation of trucks to use the F-Series chassis introduced in 1965. After a decade as a compact SUV, the Ford Bronco was redesigned as a shortened version of the F-Series. This generation also marks the introduction of the F-150 (introduced in 1975) which today is the most popular model. Allowing the 40” tall tires to clear the fenders is an 8” lift and all components chrome plated or polished. The paint is a custom pearl acrylic lacquer with pearl ghost flames that really pop in direct sunlight. After being shown for a couple years this truck was shown locally around the Colorado area and stored indoors. The interior is a set of captains chairs that swivel allowing for easy entrance and exit and enough gauges and switches in the console to rival a 747. Roll up the cover on the bed and you will find a completely carpeted bed with vinyl upholstery on the sides. Up front a stereo was installed with a dry bar and a cooler built in creating what could be the ultimate tailgating rig! This truck is extremely cool and has an awesome history to back. 1978 Ford F150 Ranger

1978 Ford F150 Ranger

Engine: 300 I6
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 69,145 ( actual )

We at Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa are excited to present to you this rustic 1978 Ford F150 Ranger. For 1978, the appearance of the F-Series changed the most since 1972, when the split grille was overhauled in favor of a single-piece grille insert design. Much larger than before, the grille no longer incorporated the headlights, turn signals or the "F O R D" letters. The headlights were located in housings beside the grille, and the park/turn signal lamps were located below them. Additionally, a new chrome-plated letter set reading "F O R D" could now be seen on the hood immediately above the grille. In 1977 (1978 models), the round headlight design was retained for the Custom trim level. A luxury "Lariat" trim was also introduced for 1978; Ranger, Ranger XLT, and Ranger Lariat trim levels incorporated rectangular headlights with optional chrome headlight bezels and the chrome grille insert. Dual Fuel tanks in the bed became standard. For 1979, round headlights were replaced by rectangular ones on all trim levels, and the surrounding grille insert that framed the headlights was now available in either black or chrome to match that of the aluminum grille frame. Also new for 1978 was the option of part- or full-time four-wheel-drive on SuperCab models. Full-time four-wheel drive utilized a chain-driven NP203 transfer case, while part-time four-wheel drive was equipped with a gear-driven NP205. This truck is a piece of history is ready to go to work with its 300 cubic inch straight six cylinder engine mated to an automatic transmission. Options include AC, AM/FM radio, cd player, spare tire, cloth interior and aluminum/alloy wheels.
