Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1955 Volkswagen Beetle. Volkswagen Beetle’s are one of the most recognized cars in the world, and this 1955 VW Beetle will be recognized more than most. When purchasing a classic car, it always helps when the vehicle has had a long-term owner. History is everything when it comes to dealing with these cars. This “Bug” was a one owner vehicle for 30 years, which means it comes with extensive knowledge. In 2014, it was fully restored with the original body being placed on a 1975 pan. The car shows no rust, which Volkswagens were notorious for. Along with the new restoration, Teal paint was applied. Inside you’ll find newer grey cloth interior accented by green LED interior lights. This isn’t your typical ‘55 VW Beetle “Oval.” Roll the windows down, crank up the sound system, and you can be the life of the party. The system omits a booming 600 watts that will make the average “Shore Blvd” seem like the happening spot. If it gets too hot, turn on the frigid A/C and cool off. When it comes to customizing a vehicle, stance places a big role. What type of persona do you want the car to present? Judging by the stance put forth by the IRS suspension, this car oozes coolness. This car will not only be a local legend, it already has appeared in several magazine articles. With only 20,000 miles since being restored 5 years ago, there is a long life ahead of this car. You can jump on the highway and take a cross country trip in this car, especially with the highway gears it has in it which came out of a Super Beetle. Don’t worry about stopping either. This 55 Beetle is sporting disc brakes all the way around. Options include A/C, AM/FM CD Radio, Power Windows, Seat Belts, 17’’ Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Spare Tire. This 1955 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Our Chicago showroom is excited to offer a brilliant blue 1956 Meyes Manx Dune Buggy. Hit the beach in this instantly recognizable classic and get a head start on summer in the right way. With only 100 miles added to the clock since the rebuild there is still plenty of fun in the sun to be had. The car features a shimmering Blue Metal Flake paint and custom black leather bucket seats with matching rear bench seat. Keeping the car planted on the ground are brushed aluminum wheels. Attached to a VW frame sourced from a 1956 Beetle is a brand new 1600cc flat four VW engine that gives this dune buggy plenty of pep in its step. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, reflecting the recent rebuild. A rare item for these cars was the optional hard top which was often neglected in favor of leaving the top off. This vehicle comes with an equally beautiful white metallic fiberglass hardtop. Be sure to check with your state’s laws for registering this vehicle for street use. The Volkswagen Beetle, officially the Volkswagen Type 1, was designed in the mid 1930’s but only produced in significant numbers after WWII. The original 1100cc air-cooled engine was rated at 25hp – good for about 62mph on the Autobahn! By 1954, an additional 2mm was added to the cylinder bore. This combined with a redesign of the crankshaft and helped the 1200cc mill produce 36 hp. The instrument panel was revised in 1958 in addition to modifications of the rear window to rectangular from oval. This 1959 Bug is a real charmer. The baby Blue/White vinyl combination is a classic. Everything is just right on the interior from the instrument cluster to the steering wheel and push-button radio. Crank down the windows and hit the beach in style! This cool 1959 Beetle is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this cool vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer to our world-wide customer-base this really nice 1963 Volkswagen Beetle "ragtop". This is the vernacular that VW enthusiasts use when referencing a Beetle sedan with a partial moveable soft top that can be opened or closed manually. This little cutie is a dependable driver that the new owner can have a lot of fun in. The colors on this two-tone Bug are authentic VW colors for the era, it's just that all were solid colors. The two-tone on this car looks like the factory should have done them this way; it really highlights the classic lines of this final-year-for-the-ragtop Beetle. It still has the six-volt electrical system, adequate for a car that has no options at all. This is why these cars were, and continue to be, very popular. They're easy to fix and are virtually indestructible. This one's ready to go and will give you many "smiles per gallon". Don't miss this one as someone is bound to buy it before you if you hesitate. Remember yesterdays thinkers are todays buyers. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this cool 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Thank you for your interest in this sharp looking 1964 Volkswagen Beetle located at our Tampa location. This imported baby blue Beetle has been restored and is ready to tackle the streets. This might be the most stylish Beetle that Gateway Classic Cars has ever had the honor of listing for sale. The 1600cc engine and 4 speed manual transmission combination has been used for many years in the Beetles and there is a reason why, this car is still to this day running and driving strong. This car was imported from Spain about 2 years ago and has been repainted to a unique baby blue that turns heads everywhere it goes. Although the paint was freshly done, all the panels are still original. The real style comes from the chrome wheels and lowered suspension. The interior is wrapped in beige cloth that flows with the exterior paint for the overall desired look. This Beetle does have many features that include A/C, AM/FM radio, seat belts, and cloth interior. 1964 models could be identified by a widened light housing on the engine lid over the rear license plate, however the standard model continued to use the old teardrop style to the end of the 1965 model run. The VW Beetle has been very successful from the beginning of its existence. Perfect for any collection, this little blue Beetle is sure to sell fast. The Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. We don’t have enough space on this description to fill all the restored detail of this 4 speed Karmann. Let’s start off with the full restoration all of all new metal parts replaced which included left and right front lower fenders along with the rocker panels and lower quarter panels, and battery tray. The rear floor pans halves were replaced and raised 3 inches and the rear wheels stretched 1 ½ inches per side to fit the 17” wheels. The body work was primed and blocked twice before the paint with a high quality primer. The body was then covered with a Dupont chroma premier basecoat clear coat paint in chestnut brown over Indian red. The suspension and brakes were next on this restoration project. The front custom beam was narrowed and the shock towers are under the gas tank. The Airkewld 2 ½ front drop spindles are complimented with new kingpins and linkpins with new shocks front and rear with adjustable rear left springs. New tie rods and ends, Airkewld front and rear bad brake disc kit with cross drilled rotors and front 4 piston calipers stop this Ghia very well. The 17” billet polished and painted Porsche Fuch Wheel with a 7” wide with an offset deep dish rear wheels. All new metal brake lines and grommets, stainless steel braded soft brake lines and a new e-brake cables finishes the brake system. The 1500 single port engine has been completely rebuilt and painted. The engine exhales via a new stock exhaust system and looks amazing. This 64 has new heater cables, new engine bay seals, new firewall insulation, new starter and bushings, and a new clutch, throw out bearing and cable to clamp the power. All of the body chrome trim has been replaced or re-chromed along with the rubber seals and gaskets. New front and bumpers and new windshield with window rubber. Lenny Coop custom made the interior with square weave carpet, mohair headliner and two tone door panels with cloth seats. A new dash pad was placed and your eyes will read the restored speedo working properly because of the new cabling. The wood steering wheel is the great touch to give you the feel of the road. The last piece of this incredible build is the electrical system. All new WireWorks complete wiring harness was installed, new 12 volt bulbs and original dash switches, new 12 volt wiper motor and horn. This car is really done with a level of craftsmanship that is hard to duplicate. If you have ever wanted a Karmann Ghia, this is the example you have been waiting for your entire life. The beautiful dark blue metallic paint goes perfectly with the dark blue padded canvas soft top and polished aluminum mag wheels wearing 15" radial rubber. Inside the beautifully restored interior are off white bucket seats, original VDO gauges and some auxiliary VDO gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, amperage and a tachometer. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. Many will say the Bug is responsible for what we know as the interstate highway system that we have today. In the early 30’s a crazy man in Germany wanted to make a “high-speed” system of roads to move people and product through his country. Little did we know at the time this man would become to known as the Furor and the real reason for these roads was to move troops quickly. I think we know how that worked out for him, not very well. Unlike Adolf the Bug would live on for many decades to come and much like him have a colt following that lives on today. This 1968 Beetle, Bug, or people mover is a notable example of why people fell in love with these little, almost indestructible cars. Sporting its flashy red paint and accented with those classic chrome bumpers it gets as many looks as cars twice its price. The roof rack with its stained wood gives it an original classic look. The matching deck lid rack only adds to the appeal. Under that deck lid a brand new, not rebuilt, 1600CC engine is tucked away making this a great candidate for your teen’s first car. Open the doors and you will notice the classic interior is in very good condition. Yet still the part that gets me is this car is a radio delete car. If you go underneath the car you will notice that the floorboards are spotless. Unlike many VW’s that have anything from house siding to stop signs these floorboards are original to the car. The original owner’s manual and toolkit are in the trunk something else you rarely see with one of these beauties. If you have been thinking about getting a great classic car that will always be in style or classic that is a blast to drive but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do so this little piece of history will be a perfect fit. Options on this 1968 Volkswagen Beetle include; Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer an amazing 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is not your Grandma’s Beetle. This little blue rocket has been completely built from the ground up. The ’73 V-Dub was completely disassembled, stripped to the bare floor pan. The body was reassembled and aligned and coated in a stunning coat of metallic blue. This Bug features its original 1,600cc Dual Port Flat Four. The engine has been completely rebuilt and features tons of new goodies. It breathes in through a new Bocar one barrel carburetor, and is equipped with a Bosch coil as well as Bosch wires. The engine is dressed in chrome for a show car finish when you pop the bonnet. The exhaust is just rowdy enough and resonates the distinct VW flat four sound. Perhaps the most impressive part of the whole car is the underside. The pans are painted, and the undercarriage is a clear indicator of the time spent rebuilding this Beetle. To dress up the outside, the car now rides on 15” EMPI chrome wheels. The front end even features disc brakes to further modernize the car. The interior is rather jazzy as it lights up with blue LED lighting as soon as the door is opened. The front seats are sporty racing buckets, and the car has functional seat belts for all passengers. The list of work on this Beetle goes on and on. It has been built to be a reliable, fun to drive show car. This is a great way to enter the classic car hobby, or to expand your existing VW collection. You can see this 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle in greater detail in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
