1947 MG TC

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 352 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1947 MG TC. This car will give you the full experience of fine British motoring. The tan interior and British exterior shows how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is a fully restored and in original condition with the original engine and only has 352 miles since the rebuild. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Twin SU- semi-down draught carburetors, 1250cc 4 cylinders and 54.4hp at 5200rmp puts you right in the middle of what it means to drive. The restoration took 6 painstaking years to complete. The wood frame was completely rebuilt. This TC is a real head turner. There are tons of documentation to go along with the purchase. Call our Showroom and we can provide the info that is available with this beautifully restored TC. The TC was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite like the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200 rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include: Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top. 1962 MG Midget

A 1275cc engine with a Pertronix ignition and Datsun 210 5-speed manual transmission this MG Midget is ready to take on any winding mountain road, or just cruising down the highway! All this little roadster needs, is a new home. With a rear end gear ratio of 4.22:1 and an overdrive gear it is quick off the line and still can reach higher speeds with ease. The disc brake conversion on this car is able to round off the build, making it an excellent driving machine! The first version, announced at the end of June, 1961, was essentially a slightly more expensive badge-engineered version of the MkII Austin-Healey Sprite. The original 'frogeye' Sprite had been introduced specifically to fill the gap in the market left by the end of production of the MG T-type Midget as its replacement, the MGA had been a significantly larger and more expensive car with greater performance. Mechanically the car was identical to its Austin-Healey counterpart, retaining the rear suspension using quarter-elliptic leaf springs and trailing arms from the 'frogeye'. Brakes were 7-inch drums all round. A hard top, heater, radio and luggage rack were available as factory-fitted extras. In October, 1962, the engine was increased to 1098 cc, raising the output to 56 HP 62 lb⋅ft, and disc brakes replaced the drums at the front. Wire spoked wheels became available. The doors had no external handles or locks and the windows were sliding Perspex side-screens. 1975 MG MGB

Engine:
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 81672 ( undocumented )

Our Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1975 MG MGB for sale. This MGB has a new top in the box ready for installation and less than 1K rebuild on the engine. The car was painted about 5-6 years about. For many years, enthusiasts of the MGB made the claim that this was the best-selling sports car ever made. With a total of more than 513,000 cars assembled at Abingdon from 1962 through 1980, and more than 300,000 roadsters exported to the U.S., until very recently they had the numbers on their side. A production run of 18 years and more than a half-million cars speaks volumes about the quality of the MGB. And for the new enthusiast, these numbers mean there are a lot of cars for sale and a lot of spare parts with which to keep them running for many years. What accounted for the long run and great reception, when so many other sports cars came and went during the same period? Beyond the cost and ease of purchasing, restoring and upgrading it, there are two very good reasons for the past and present popularity of the MGB. First, it is fun to drive. Second, it is easy to take care of. Only a few cars on the road provide the visceral pleasure of driving an MGB. Take it out on a country road, wind it up through the gears with the positive gear change, then do a heel-and-toe downshift into a tight corner and power out again on the straight. Let the wind whip through your hair, and listen to the song of the four-cylinder engine. No classic car at this price can offer anywhere near the same experience, and only a few modern sports cars come close. From almost the beginning of the marque, MG’s slogan was “Safety Fast,” and generations of enthusiasts can attest that it delivered on that promise. But the experience isn’t limited to driving. For anyone who wants a brief escape from software problems, computer systems that have minds of their own, and user manuals that require a degree in electronics to understand, the MGB opens the door to a fast-disappearing world of basic electrical and see-how-it-works mechanical systems. With a basic set of tools, an electrical test gauge and some rudimentary mechanical ability, any job from a basic tune-up or an oil change to a complete engine rebuild can be undertaken in the garage as a weekend alternative to video games and surfing the Net. Options include. Convertible top, and radial tires. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. The Louisville Showroom is proud to present this awesome 1977 MG MGB for sale. In structure the MGB was an innovative, modern design in 1962, utilizing a monocoque structure instead of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on both the MGA and MG T-types and the MGB's. However, components such as brakes and suspension were developments of the earlier 1955 MGA with the B-Series engine having its origins in 1947. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength. Wind-up windows were standard, and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom. A parcel shelf was fitted behind the seats. This MGB has money and an owners love poured into maintaining a great running and driving MG. With only 19,291 actual miles on this little Gem, this MGB will provide years of enjoyment. Engine: Inline 4
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 60051 ( undocumented )

With only 60000 actual miles on this little Gem, this MGB will provide years of enjoyment.
