1938 Bantam Roadster

1938 Bantam Roadster

Engine: 50 CID I4
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 250 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Detroit Showroom is this very unique 1938 American Bantam Roadster. American Austin Car Company was founded in 1929, in Butler, Pennsylvania, in premises that had belonged to the Standard Steel Car Company.[2] Their intention was to assemble and sell in the United States a version of the Austin 7 car, called American Austin.[3] After some initial success the Great Depression set in, and sales fell off to the point that production was suspended. In 1934 the company filed for bankruptcy. In 1935, Roy Evans, a former salesman for Austin, bought out the bankrupt company, which was reorganized under the name American Bantam. Production was resumed in 1937, and continued through 1941. Despite a wide range of Bantam body styles, ranging from light trucks to woodie station wagons, only about 6,000 Bantams of all types were produced. This 1938 Bantam is a restored roadster that is in great overall condition. The 50 cubic inch four cylinder engine is a correct engine but not the original to the car, it makes 22 horsepower and is really fun to drive being mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. The red exterior is in very good condition and looks great with the black canvas convertible top and is a perfect match to the two-tone red vinyl interior. Options on this Bantam include: Manual Convertible Top, Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps, and Bias Ply Tires. If you are in search of a very unique vehicle that is an absolute blast to drive than this Roadster is worth taking a second look at. To view this unique 1938 Bantam Roadster in greater detail including over 100 HD photos and an HD video please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or give us a call at 313-982-3100.

1946 Dodge Power Wagon

1946 Dodge Power Wagon

Engine: 230 CID I6
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,000 ( since rebuilt )

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a one-of-a-kind and super rare 1946 Dodge Power Wagon! The famous Dodge Power-Wagon was a civilian adaptation of a four-wheel drive, 3/4-ton military vehicle which Dodge built in great numbers during World War II. The civilian version, which was first offered in 1946, was rated as a one-ton but was capable of carrying a 3000 pound payload in off-highway service. Dodge engineered the Power-Wagon to be a self-propelled powerplant, and it was capable of a wide range of industrial and agricultural applications. A transmission power-take-off was available (present here) for driving various items of auxiliary equipment. Our example features a PTO driven winch that looks like it could pull a mountain! There is no better color combination than the Military Green and Black which really give an appeal you can only find on a Power Wagon. With only 2,000 miles on this fresh restoration, this 230cid I-6 can perform to its full potential no matter how you plan on using it. These Power Wagon’s are not something you usually see on the road but if you dare, this one is road ready and can be driven in a parade or to a local show. It may take you a little longer than expected, but this Power Wagon will get you their safely and plow thru anything in its way. The only way to get an idea of how big this truck is would be to come gaze at it in person at our Detroit showroom located at 15000 Commerce Dr N in Dearborn Michigan. Light and medium duty models were only available at first, then a heavy duty lineup was added during the 1930’s and 1940’s. This 1947 Dodge is a medium duty truck produced on the 133 inch wheelbase platform with a very dependable drivetrain starting up front with the 230 cubic inch inline 6 engine. This 1947 Dodge has been restored even though there is just 45,309 actual miles on the truck. The restoration has given the truck a stunning look with the fresh coat of Blue and Black paint and the wood panel bed were given extra care with the finish to make the wood look as if it were still back in the 1940’s. With such low mileage this truck runs and drives beautifully and with nothing more than just regular maintenance will remain this way for many years to come. This Dodge truck will make a great addition to anyone’s truck collection and is a great cruiser having plenty of both passenger and cargo space. 1965 Pontiac GTO

1965 Pontiac GTO

Engine: 389 CID V8 Tri Power
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 68,658 ( undocumented )

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer the king of the muscle cars. This 1965 Pontiac GTO is a great example of what American Muscle is all about. GTO’s are what legends are made of and when the Pontiac GTO was introduced to America in September 1963, it created an entirely new market segment that sparked a reaction throughout the auto industry. Today we know that reaction as the muscle-car era. By 1966, all the domestic automobile manufacturers had their response to the GTO. Some were good, some were hastily slapped together, and others missed the mark altogether. It could be argued that none of them possessed the combination of performance, style, image, and affordability of the GTO. This Tri-Power 389ci V-8 is mated to 4 speed manual transmission. This combination is the one you want and really puts the power to the pavement. Some nice upgrades include the MSD 6AL ignition, tubular headers w/ dual flowmaster exhaust. This GTO looks very aggressive in beautiful Red with Black vinyl interior and is set off by its chrome Cragar wheels and redline tires. If you are looking for the iconic muscle car that started it all, this GTO is ready for your collection. For more information including over 120HD photos and video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com .
