Most auto enthusiasts know that Ford offered its modern rendition of the Boss 302 Mustang during the 2012 and 2013 model years. But less known is the fact that the race-bred Boss 302S continued as a 2014 model. Offered through Ford Racing, only 50 were built as turn-key, factory-built race cars. They would be the last of the modern Boss 302s. Designed for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes, every 2014 Boss 302S Mustang started life as a body-in-white before delivery to Watson Racing for completion as a track-only vehicle. At Watson, the Boss 302S was equipped with its 5.0-liter Boss 302 engine optimized with racing calibration, T-6060 6-speed transmission, and a Torsen TR2 differential with 3.73:1 gears. Suspension upgrades included 3-way adjustable dampers, caster/camber plates, Ford Racing adjustable sway bars, and tubular lower control arms with extended ball joints and a Derlin bushing kit. Externally, the limited-edition Boss 302S was prepared for competition with a carbon-fiber front splitter, fiberglass hood with air extractors, an adjustable rear wing, and 19-inch wheels. Competition prep also included a quick-release steering wheel, duct kit to cool the Brembo 4-piston brakes, FIA-spec 6-point roll cage, front and rear tow hooks, switch plate with start/ignition, fire-suppression system, window net, master cut-off switch, and 6-point safety harness. In other words, the Boss 302S was built as a race-ready Mustang from the factory. A red “S” within the traditional Boss 302 hockey-stick stripes identified the special track-ready model. This Boss 302S is number 28 of the 50 produced for 2014. In addition to the standard competition components, it is also equipped with the optional Recaro XL driver’s seat and Satin Black paint, a $5,995 option. This "built for speed" race car started by outsourcing the work for a custom built frame by Ellis Racing. The body and cooling system was also all custom made and built by C and R Racing in Indianapolis, Indiana. This 2012 B Class Lakester Salt Flat Racer is powered by a professionally built GM 383 CID V8 Stroker, backed by a professionally built 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and running to a Ford 9" Racing rear end with 3.07 gears. The engine build started with using only the best parts available including: Mahle Pistons, H-Beam Connecting Rods, Roller Cam, Scorpion Lifters, MSD Ignition system, Electric Water Pump, Dart Aluminum Heads with oversized valves, and topped with an Aluminum Edelbrock Victor "E" Intake and a Fast EZ-EFI fuel injection setup and is putting out an estimated 800 horsepower. The 2-speed transmission was built to handle all that power and more , it was built to hold up to 1,300 horsepower. The car is also equipped with a fire suppression system and dual parachutes to help slow you down after a blistering run. The wheels are 18" Billet Aluminum and wrapped around Mickey Thompson Bonneville LSR tires that are rated at 500 MPH. This car made one pass at the Bonneville Salt Flats and ran 186 MPH before they let off the throttle, that was in first gear! The owner states that this car has the potential of going over 300 MPH. The Ford Racing Mustang FR500 is a highly tuned race variant of the Ford Mustang, featuring a V8 engine. These are turn key race cars not designed for public road use. Each FR500 model is built with a unique Ford Racing number, and not a DOT VIN. Each is built when ordered through Ford Racing. Each FR500 is built by the same plant, in Flat Rock (Michigan), as the standard Mustang. Powered by Ford's 4.6L V8 engine, it is rated at 325HP. The FR500S is often slotted in between the FR500C ('Boy Racer') and FR500GT ('Man Racer'). The car was designed by both Ford Racing and Miller Motorsports for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge series (a racing series founded by Larry Miller). The car features similar aerodynamic parts like those used on the FR500GT, but uses a DOT approved racing tire BF Goodrich g-Force R1. With the end of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, the FR500S has been homologated for competition in the SCCA World Challenge GTS class. The transmission is the same six-speed Tremec T6060 used in the Shelby GT500 paired to a severe-duty clutch. The rear axle assembly is borrowed from the Bullitt Mustang parts bin with a 3.73:1 ratio and sturdier pinion bearing, with a Ford Racing/Torsen limited-slip differential installed. For sale in our Scottsdale Showroom is this amazing 2004 GMC Sierra C1500 Short Bed, highly modified as Truckin’ Magazine “Project Novakane” is ready to rip pavement on the street, strip or track. With a supercharged LSX376 6.2l engine cranking out almost 700 horsepower coupled to a Tremec T-56 Magnum 6 speed manual transmission, this is not a truck for the faint of heart! The built on this truck is of the highest quality , with top quality workmanship and all the best, high dollar components. The GM motosports LSX is topped by a Magnacharger TVS2300 blower running into a Banks air intake system and intercooler. A 20 gallon fuel cell in the bed feeds into the A1000 fuel pump, 8AN stainless fuel hose and high flow injectors. The engine is managed by a Holley Dominator ECU and LS wiring harness. Exhaust is handled by American Racing headers, 3 inch TIG welded exhaust tubes and a Banks Monster Muffler with a side exit thru the rear quarter. The Tremec T-56 Magnum 6 speed is shifted by a Ram 10.5 dual disc clutch, Hurst billet shifter and McLeod hydraulic release bearing. Safely containing the clutch and flywheel is a QuickTime bell housing. Getting all this power to the pavement is a GM rear end with 3.72 gears, Duchman axles and Eaton Tru-Trac posi unit. The suspension of this bad boy truck is just as modified as the powertrain with a 8 inch lower, CNC cut control arms, drop spindles, Hotchkis 1 ½ inch sway bar and rack and pinon steering. In the rear there is a four link, QA1 coil overs, and a Hotchkis 1 inch sway bar. The brakes are AP Racing with 14.25 inch rotors and six piston calipers in front and 14 inch , 4 piston in the rears. The wheels are where the truck gets it name, BMF Novakane 20x9 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. In addition to all this top notch hardware is extensive custom aluminum sheet metal work including wheel wells, interior, bed and more. The exterior is finished in PPG Black Satin with bare metal stripes. Other features are Corbeau racing seats, 4 point seat belts, Ididit steering column and Autometer gauges. There is a digital speedo / odo that is currently inoperative, total mileage is not known but the truck looks like it has not had much use. The aluminum center section houses a set of 4.56 rear gears to get the 29.5/10.5-15 racing slicks spinning and rocket this GTA down the quarter-mile in the 9’s at 146mph! The build was done starting in 2001. While 840 horsepower is very impressive, getting all that power to the ground is ultimately what matters. The 10.5 in slicks help plenty, but the mini-tub 4-link suspension really keep everything level. Plenty of work was worked into all spots of the chassis including frame ties, front suspension limiting straps, coilovers, and the 4-link suspension. Wilwood brakes on all 4 corners bring this white lightning to a halt quickly and safely. The engine and transmission have both been refreshed with no passes since. For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a nasty 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Clone. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a two-door coupé that was produced by Chevrolet through six generations from model year 1970 to model year 2007. This once timid 1982 Monte Carlo has turned into a fire breathing, earth pounding, head turning Super Sport clone with a take no prisoner attitude that is STREET LEGAL!!!! . Pumping life into this beast is a 454 CID V8, .040 over, steel rods, cast crank, Comp hydraulic cam, roller rocker arms, oval port heads, Victor Jr. intake oval port, Holley 950 double pumper carburetor, MSD distributer, MSD 6AL box and blaster 3 coil, Miloden 7 qt oil pan, ARP bolts(head, rod, main), SFI flex plate, Taylor 10mm spark plug wires, chrome alternator, March Billet pulleys, remote oil filter, forged pistons, and a 3500 stall. Phew!!! What's this all mean? Not only 550+ horsepower, but also 535 lb ft of torque are getting cranked out of this incredible Big Block Chevy. This power is then routed through a Turbo 400 transmission, with TCI aluminum trans pan, braided lines, custom transmission cross member, Hurst quarter stick, Hurst roll control, drive shaft loop, and balanced drive shaft. Putting this power to the pavement is a rear end built and assembled by Curry Enterprise, a 9 inch Ford rear end narrowed 2 inches on each side, with Curry 31 spline axles, and a Detroit locker with 3.70 gears. The rear frame rails have been moved in 3 inches and it's been mini-tubbed. Stopping this Chevy isn't a problem with the Wilwood 4 piston calipers in the front and dual piston calipers in the rear. Wilwood vented rotors are in the front and rear as well. While looking underneath, also note the gas shocks all around, Hotchkis upper and lower control arms with tubular lateral links in the rear, and Hotchkis upper A-arms in the front. In the front are F-body spindles, rebuilt lower A-arms and all new steering components including tie rod ends, adjustment sleeves, center link, idler arm, hangers, bushings, sway bar bushings, end link, brake lines and fittings. Temperature is not a problem, the engine is kept cool by a Griffin aluminum radiator, closed radiator panel and TCI 15-1/2 x 10 inch transmission cooler. The exhaust gives this animal the roar it deserves. It all starts with the 2 inch Hooker Super Competition headers and followed up with 3 inch Torque Tech exhaust and 3 inch 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. All of this is welded and band clamped, and there's even stainless steel header bolts. If that wasn't enough, all of the exhaust is also powder coated. But that's not all, the undercarriage is a satin black, gloss gray and gloss purple. If you can tear yourself away from looking underneath this Monte, then take a step back and look at the exterior. The body is draped with Toyota Super White paint #040. The engine compartment is even painted with a high gloss black. The custom Burgundy interior has an embroidered head rest and dash. Autometer gauges encompass this interior. The trunk also is custom with a custom fuel cell cover. Under the custom cover is a RCI 16 gallon fuel cell. The fuel is fed by a Holley blue pump with fuel filter. The Weld Prostar aluminum polished wheels are all wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely wild 1979 Chevrolet Malibu. This Malibu is a far cry from the standard grocery-getter that Chevy was stamping out by the thousands. Powering this monster is a 454 big block V8 stroked out to 496 cubic inches backed up to a beefy TH-400 transmission sandwiching a 5000rpm stall converter. The 496 is spinning an Eagle 4340 crankshaft with Eagle H-beam rods topped with SRP 13.5:1 pistons. A pair of Pro Comp Aluminum ported heads round out the long block for a very healthy amount of power on tap. Taking care of getting air and fuel in the engine is a Victor JR intake and a 950 CFM Holley Carburetor. A custom set of Lemons Headers spew the exhaust fumes through a pair of Spintech mufflers for the sound of a beautifully orchestrated chaos. While all of that power makes for killer sound and plenty of tire smoke, there’s more to going fast than just having power; it needs to be effectively put to the pavement. With SPC upper control arms and TRZ lower control arms working in tandem with Qa1 adjustable coil overs, this Malibu grips and rips. A Moser 12-bolt packed fill with 4.10 gears and 30-spline axles resides out back, more than capable of handling the powerplant. A custom frame was fabricated with a 4-link suspension set up to keep the Moser properly located. Making sure the body and frame stay as solid as possible, a 10-point roll cage was installed and painted black to blend in with the gorgeous interior. The two-tone gray paint with the red stripe absolutely pops under the sun. The paint looks deep enough that you could take a dive in it and never come back out. The color scheme is tied through the seats in the interior making for a very complete and well thought out design. The seats were custom redone to match the paint! A switch panel is mounted in the redesigned dash to give the driver total control over all of the electronics of the vehicle, while a master disconnect can set the Malibu in hibernation for any extended downtime. Plenty of custom work is massaged into all aspects of this vehicle, and the hard work really paid off making for an extremely well-finished vehicle. This 1979 Chevrolet Malibu is a very well put together car and should fill your trophy case with ease after only a few shows. A little over 3 years ago, this car was pulled from a barn and became the subject of a full frame off restoration and modification, with a major emphasis on the modification. The most obvious modifications are the custom wide body kit that allows this 2nd Gen Camaro to tuck 335 cross section tires out back, and 315s up front wrapped around custom E/T wheels. Of course, big sticky tires are only as good as the suspension holding everything else in place. That is why there is Detroit Speed suspension in the front and back to hold everything else in place. To handle bringing things to a quick halt, we have a full Willwood brake system, including 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake calipers. You are going to need those brakes too, as this car’s real party trick lies under the carbon fiber hood. There you will find a fire spitting 6.0L LS motor that has been stroked with new rods and pistons, dart heads, and dyno tuned to make 427hp and 427 lb-ft. of torque. Those massive tires are starting to make some more sense. Backing up that fuel injected beast is a Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed manual, spinning 390 Truetrac gears in a Ford 9” rear end. Inside, you could call this car a mullet, as it is all business in the front, with the party coming from two 10” kicker subwoofers in a custom enclosure that has replaced the rear seat. Upfront is all business, with Cipher race bucket seats and 4 point harnesses, as well as a half cage painted to match. Other great little touches include a carbon fiber spoiler and trunk lid, kindigit door handles, A/C, power steering, and keyless ignition. Get yourself in this Camaro and go! This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro SS is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 2nd generation Camaro was a huge success for GM running a total of 11 years. The fastback body design with its huge rear glass was a far cry from the 1ST Generation. This beautiful Silver with Black stripes split bumper actually began life as a SS396 which is super cool. The 396 has been replaced with a monster 496 that was built with one thing in mind, going fast in a straight line! The Brodix heads are made out of aluminum with many saying they are the best in the business. The huge aluminum radiator keeps everything at the perfect operating temperature with dual electric fans giving you that extra vote of confidence. The 1050 CFM Quick Fuel Dominator carb feeds this animal the high-octane gas it needs. If that’s not enough power for you hit the button on the fogger system and hold on for dear life. The TH350 Transmission was built to handle all that power with a trans brake allowing for true off the line hole shots. The Moser 10 bolt rear end has 3.89 Moser axles allowing for off the line acceleration while pulling hard through all 3 gears. With all that power propelling this beauty the brakes need to be just as good. The 4-wheel disc set up with its Wilwood master cylinder is exactly what this thing needed. Of course, going fast is fun but why not look good while doing it? The paint on the car is slick with a great shine while that fiberglass cowl hood ties in perfectly to the build. The RS front clip looks great but there is no way to tell if it came from the factory or not. Open the doors and you will see an interior that is very tasteful. The roll cage was done to keep you safe while still allowing for plenty of room. The front buckets are comfortable and look right at home with the racing harnesses keeping you right where you need to be. The ratchet style shifter is just where you want it allowing for quick shifts with a simple slap. Normally when cars like this are built you get either a car that looks great but lacks in the performance department or vice versa. Why not get this one and have a beautiful car that performs like it looks? Powered by a 440 cubic inch big block V8 set up in front of the driver and paired with a TH400 automatic transmission, this baby hauls! This Dragster is well known in the Chicago area, as hit has been raced at several active and not defunct drag strips in the surrounding areas. While the bones of this dragster have remained the same over the years, some changes were made for long-term reliability, safety of the driver, and to stay competitive with other vintage racers. Most recently, the 440 V8 was completely gone through prepared for a full season with about 10 test passes on it to work out any last-minute bugs. The 440 started life as a 427, and was bored a very healthy .100” to pump up displacement. Helping take advantage of those extra cupes is a set of easy breathing Dart Pro 1 heads, a roller cam, and a massive 1050 Dominator carburetor. While a big engine is very important for making successful passes, any real racer knows the rest of the drivetrain is arguably even more important. This dragster has had the full treatment, including a 9” converter from Coan, a brand new TH400 transmission with a trans-brake, and a full Mark Williams 9” rear axle assembly sporting 4.10 gears. With consistent runs in the low 9 second range at over 150mph in the ¼ mile, the seller is confident that a high 8 second pass is attainable in good or better conditions. The famed 442 became its own model in 1968, rather than an optional package. This W30 is anything but stock, and it's only had 2 owners in its lifetime. This 442 is powered by a monstrous 540 cu in big block Chevy V8 motor, paired to a 5-speed Doug Nash transmission. Backing this power plant is a 12-bolt Chevrolet rear end with a 4:11 gear ratio. The motor has a 12.5:1 compression ratio. It also has forged pistons, aluminum rods, a 4-bolt main block, a steel crankshaft, squared ported heads, a Weiand intake manifold, and two 650cfm carburetors. This performance car is painted in Sikkens brand red/burgundy color. Inside you will find a well sorted black vinyl interior with a large Autometer odometer and full roll cage. This 442 sits on some deep dish Centerline wheels that are wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro radial tires. There are also wheelie bars in the rear for when you decide to do some spirited driving. This car is fully capable of the performance needed to call for those wheelie bars. The air and fuel then flow to the pro filer rectangular aluminum heads into the Merlin block where this mixture is compressed to 14 to 1. This bad boy has way too many high tech parts to list everything, let’s just say it’s very quick. Now, what good would all this horsepower be if you had no way to plant it to the ground? Ok, here we go. This beast of a ride has been back halfed using R.J. race cars four link with pro stock bars connecting it to the Strange center section housing 4.56 final gears. The final gears then send this massive power to the wheels via Strange engineering 35 spline axles that are connected to the wrinkle wall drag slick with 5/8 inch studs. Between the torque monster under the hood and the strange engineering axles is the workhorse powerglide 2 speed transmission which houses a nine and a half inch, 4500 stahl converter which allows the engine to get deep into the power curve. I have pages of performance parts that have been shoehorned into this lighted ’68 Camaro for sale. I can tell you it all equals QUICK! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! The Shelby Cobra was first made in 1961 when Carroll Shelby wrote to AC Cars, a British automotive company, and asked if they could build him a car with a V8 instead of their V6. Ford supplied the engine, at Carroll Shelby's request, so they could compete with Chevrolet’s Corvette. This Shelby Cobra replica is in impressive condition. The car was built starting with a Shell Valley body and frame kit in 2012. Since then, only 435 miles have been put on the clock. Powering the Cobra is Ford’s venerable 351 Cleveland, mated to a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. This engine/trans combo makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience at any speed. Behind the excellent powertrain is a Jaguar independent rear suspension, which puts down the power very smoothly. The desirability of the car isn’t limited to what is under the body, however. This Cobra is painted in PPG Top Brand 1994 Viper Blue, a truly striking color when matched to the silver racing stripes. The interior is a done very cleanly, with black carpet and black leather.
