Engine: 265 CID V8Transmission: Turbo 350Mileage: 75418 ( undocumented )
Up for sale in our Louisville showroom is this gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet Hard Top Bel Air. The Hard-Top designation comes from the elimination of the post between the front and rear side windows making this a highly desired feature. 1955 was the first year for Chevrolet’s “Shoe Box” body style, which proved to be very successful. The Bel Air was Chevrolet top trim level, featuring more chrome than the 210 or 150 and offered many more desirable options. Powering this ’55 Bel Air is a period correct looking 265ci V8 engine sending its horsepower to a smooth 350 turbo transmission. The red leather and tan cloth interior sure do look great and make this 55 comfortable to ride in. The power steering and power brakes add to the comfort and ease of gliding this beautiful bowtie down the road. The icing on the cake is the vintage air system that will keep you cool on those long hot summer days while you are enjoying cruising in this beauty. Adding to the cool factor of this 55 Chevy are the 18” billet specialty rims and 225/40zr 18 front and 225/45zr 18 rear wheels. Engine: 502 CID V8Transmission: 4-Speed AutomaticMileage: 75 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1955 Chevrolet Apache for sale. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name "Texas Metal", which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9" ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a "shaker hood" feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and they're only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that they're in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around. To see all the HD pictures and video, please go to http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/HOU/1094/1955-chevrolet-apache. For even more information on this 1955 Chevrolet Apache located in our Houston showroom, come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832) 243-6220, or email the showroom at email@example.com.

Engine: 235 Inline 6Transmission: 3 Speed ManualMileage: 339 ( since rebuilt )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is an early series 1 1955 Chevrolet Pick Up. This one has received an extremely detailed restoration and is probably better than new. It also benefits from an upgraded 12 volt system that also includes a 12 volt starter and electric windshield wiper replacing the old and unreliable vacuum operated wiper. Painted green with black running boards, wide white walls, driver’s side side mounted spare and an Oak bed paired with a beautiful Parchment interior. The interior is just as easy on the yes as is the rest of the truck. The gauges were restored and look new, the two tone bench seat looks great as do all of the knobs and cranks. You'll also notice seat belts and a heat controller for those chilly Autumn drives. During the restoration, all of the rubber seals and window fuzzies were replaced including the often overlooked vent window seals. Helping protect the exterior are clear rubber covers for the tailgate's chains and a rubber mat to protect the beautiful Oak bed with stainless inserts. Open the hood and the detail continues. All new wiring and proper detail. You can tell that the restorer took their time and focused on detail and accuracy. The Thrift Master 235 Inline 6 purrs like a kitten and the 3 speed column shift is easy to operate. Both are original to the truck, have been rebuilt during the restoration and have covered 336 miles since the rebuild. The undercarriage will not disappoint as it is also as detailed as the rest of this impressive 3100. The Series One represent the early 1955s that share the previous body style found on earlier Chevy Pick Ups. Mid year 1955 (Series 2) received the updated front end among other changes. The Series 1 seem to be the most sought after model considering they are the end of a long run of a successful generation of truck. For more information on this top notch restoration, call 618-271-3000 or swing by our St. Louis showroom. To view 100+ HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.

The car was rebuilt by Chris Car Doc of Humble TX and has only covered about 600 miles since then. Only 1,500 miles on a rebuilt 235 cid engine and a “three-on-the-tree” transmission in this classic Chevrolet pickup! Introduced in March of 1955, Chevrolet's new 'Task Force' series of trucks was quite a departure from their existing line of pickups. Smooth, rounded sheet-metal replaced the old pontoon-style fenders, and large, wrap-around windshield glass offered better visibility and gave a more contemporary look. The body on this truck is in great shape and would make an excellent weekend driver! The flame paint job looks hot but keeping the drive train cool is a new aluminum radiator. The inline six runs like a top and pairs nicely with the manual transmission. Driving a three speed on the tree is a unique driving experience that will surely bring you back to a different era. The interior has been refinished with gray cloth seats as well as headliner and custom door panels. Stock dash components and instruments look back at you when you are in the driver’s seat. The dash has not been modified and still retains it’s look for what fits this pickup. In the bed of the pickup you will find a refinished wood bed as well as a custom Chevy bowtie tailgate. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautifully aggressive 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The ’55 Bel Air was the first of the ICONIC tri-five everyone knows and loves to this day. With the narrower grille, and the small fin in the rear the ’55 is desired by many. The power is transferred through the Ford 9” posi-track rear end and is fully capable of roasting the tires. Some other items include aluminum heads, disk brakes, ceramic coated headers, new body bushings, and a new fuel tank. This car is ready to hit the road and take you back to those childhood memories. The car even received new tubular upper and lower control arms The exterior of the car is in great shape and is painted in the classic Turquoise and White. When the car went in for repaint all the chrome trim and decals we removed to ensure quality work was done. The car even got all new tinted glass to give it a nice sleek look when rolling into the local car show. The interior of the car has been nice done and keeps the car looking more original. The matching bench seat and door panels keep the turquoise and white color scheme flowing inside and out. Minus the addition of a few additional gauges the interior has been left in original condition. The car has had a new oil pressure, water temp, and rpm gauge added to provide more in-depth monitoring of the vehicles performance. Engine: LS7 (427)Transmission: 4L60EMileage: 126 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! Options on this 1955 Custom Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC, AM/FM, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this one of a kind 1955 Chevrolet Cameo is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The luxury truck market has really caught fire the past decade. Many believe that this is something new but it was something that GM had tried many decades ago. The Cameo was really the first truck that put styling and comfort before the utility of the vehicle. This Cameo was built with that in mind and the finish product will hopefully not be seen with a load of hay in the back anytime soon. The truck was a ground up build with attention detail being top ion the list. It was a rust-free CA truck to begin with making this the perfect candidate. The first thing you notice about this beauty is the paint. “Phantom Black Pearl” as it is known as has a ton of flake in it giving the truck that sparkle look when the sun hits it. With all of the stainless steel polished to a bright luster this truck just screams 1950’s. The all new tinted glass is just another one of those attention to details that most would overlook. Under the hood is a Chevy small block with ported and polished heads give this 55 a lot more power than its original 265. The vintage finned valve covers give under the hood a great look while the stainless-steel fasteners keep with the whole attention to detail. The ride quality comes courtesy of a Heidt’s mustang II style frontend with power assisted rack and pinion steering. Open the door and the interior of the truck is the perfect complement to the exterior. The leather bench seat has been molded in such a way that it feels like you are sitting in your own bucket. Each side has its own little pocket if you will, keeping you nice and planted. If you have been wanting something different but something mainstream this 55 Cameo is perfect. The 3100 Big Widows are extremely popular but this one has the Cameo factor making it extremely different. Options on this 1955 Chevrolet Cameo include; AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, and Aluminum Wheels and Radial Tires.
