1967 Ford Mustang

1967 Ford Mustang

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 30,082 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this quintessential example of a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe! The Ford Mustang was introduced unto the world on April 17th, 1964. The Mustang, conceptualized from the already popular Ford Falcon, provided the American working-class with a chance to own a modest sports car with a modest price tag, all without sacrificing overall enjoyment or amenities. Shortly after beginning production in mid-1964, the Mustang underwent extreme body modifications every couple of years, the first small tweak is seen here with this 1967. The 1967 and 1968 models were elongated by a few inches, with modifications to the car taking place in the front nose, as well as the sharpening of the body lines along the sides, while the rear taillight panel would now present itself with an indention, rather than a protrusion. Smaller, underpowered 8 cylinder motors were now offered with larger displacement than the first two production years, as well as more horsepower, and more amenities (such as back up lights). Upon decoding the VIN and datacode plate, we find that this particular C-Code 1967 (original 289cid v8 2bbl) was birthed in the San Jose plant before being shipped to Seattle for sale. An additional comfort that we find in this decoding of the Mustang is that this 1967 was Candy Apple Red from the factory, as well as adorned with black buckets, making her trim-code matching and very period-correct. 1995 Chevrolet Corvette

1995 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 5.7L V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 47,511 ( undocumented )

We are happy to list for sale in our Chicago showroom a beautiful Polo Green over tan leather interior 1995 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. Amazingly, this Corvette has just 47,511 original miles, and it looks like it hardly has that. Usually these Corvettes come across as a dime-a-dozen used sports car; not this one! This Vette has been meticulously cared for and when you're driving it, it shows. Under the hood is the original LT1 350 CID V8 (300hp) engine and automatic transmission. This beauty is not simply a driver, it would be at home at a car show, or as part of a Corvette club meet. The fourth generation or C4 Corvette debuted in 1984. It was slated for 1983, but part delays and quality issues resulted in only 43 prototype Corvettes being produced in 1983, which were never sold. The C4 was the first complete redesign for the Corvette since the C2 Corvette in 1963. New for the C4 were an all-aluminum suspension and aluminum brake calipers which provided rigidity and ample weight savings. As the years went by for the C4, design and styling cues got better and better. By 1993 the exterior and interior designs were set for the remainder of the C4 run, and the LT1 V8 engine was slated as the base engine as well. Only the ZR-1 and Grand Sport in 1996 options boasted a better performing engine choice going forward. Options for this 1995 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Removeable Targe Top, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Driver Seat, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Traction Control, Seat Belts, Driver/Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. The exterior of this car is coated in a sharp coat of green paint Chevy called it "Polo Green". This Corvette stands apart from the crowd with its show condition and great color combination. To view this 1995 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Mileage: 52,137 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is super excited to have this 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo! 2010 was the first year of the Panamera after teasing the 4 door concepts 989 in the late 80’s and early 90’s. With the success of Porsche’s SUV the Cayenne. Porsche decided to bring back the four door saloon, and boy what a success it is. This bad four door drives like a 911 with enough room for the family in the back. This sweet blue color Panamera comes with a beautifully matching cream leather interior. The 4.8 twin turbo V8 cranks out an estimated 500 horsepower and is paired to a ZF 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission. This four wheel drive monster is sure to be one of the quickest four door sedans on the streets. The 2010 turbo packages came along with the active aerodynamic rear wing coming out for added down force at high rates of speed. The Porsche 911 only weighs about 3500 LBS, its incredible how Porsche engineering created the four door saloon car with only about 700 LBS of added weight compared to the 911. It goes to show just how incredible it is to drive a Porsche and the driving experience that comes with it. Hop into this beauty turn on the 14 speaker Bose sound system with a subwoofer and let the V8 twin turbo monster eat up every car on the street. 1936 Ford Hot Rod

1936 Ford Hot Rod

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 274 ( undocumented )

It’s not everyday that Gateway Classic Cars is given the pleasure to offer a vehicle that was built, documented, and owned by the same individual. What you see here is fantastic mix of 50’s east coast, patina rod, and rat rod stylings that took over 3 years to complete. This 1936 Ford Pickup is the final build of a man’s 45 year legacy of constructing custom rods. The build began with a fully customized frame. The rear is “Z’ed” approximately 10” to make way for a truly sinister stance. Unlike other rat rods, the ’36 Ford truck cab was lovingly restored, channeled 4”, and all cancerous rust was removed and replaced with new metal before being finished in Flat Black. The powertrain boasts an ever-popular and rebuilt/resealed 300 hp Chevy 350 small block pushing 9:1 compression which calls for 87 octane fuel. Lake-style headers provide the driver with an aggressive exhaust note. Behind the mildly-cammed Chevy 350 sits a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission with shift kit, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9” posi rear end with coilovers. The front suspension has been donned with manual rack and pinion steering, period-correct drop axle, and leaf spring. Manual disc brakes from an Impala with new stainless steel lines are utilized up front, while the rear is capped with drums. All gauges are in working order. The 14 gallon fuel cell will provide this build with a longer journey capacity than most custom rods. The car is correctly titled as a 1936 Ford, which can sometimes prove difficult depending on which state you seek approval, and the VIN is stamped both in the frame and firewall. Simply put, you can NOT put a custom rod like this together for even twice the modest sticker price. This ’36 Ford would be a fantastic initiation for anyone interested in entering the world of custom rodding, and all of the difficult work has been performed by a veteran and professional of the automotive business. Engine: Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 568 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Chicago showroom is a 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. This is a very cool hot rod! Power comes from a well built 1953 Mercury V8 Flathead that has been fitted with a 3/4 race Comp Cams camshaft, a decked set of cylinder heads for more compression, Brassworks radiator and a 12 volt electrical system. This car makes such a great sound! There's nothing like a well built high performance Flathead. Power is sent through a 3 speed manual mounted on the column. Both the engine and transmission have roughly 1,000 miles since the rebuild and offer issue free enjoyment. The engine was professionally built at Flatland Flatheads out of Oklahoma City. These guys know their stuff. This car will turn heads with the sound alone. Painted in an inconspicuous Clay with a tan interior and a set of period correct hubcaps. The front end has dropped front axle that offers a lowered ride height by a smidge and is fitted with confident inspiring front disc brakes. Adding to the great ride is a set of radial tires and some comfy leather seats. Inside you will also notice the restored gauges that have also been rewired for the 12 volt system. Surrounding the gauges is a beautiful machined turn gauge surround. Completing the 12 volt upgrade is an alternator in place of the old generator. There's no more worry about the car starting, the 12 volt system is a significant improvement over the old 6 volt system. 1969 Chevrolet Nova

1969 Chevrolet Nova

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 16,698 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a bad to the bone 1969 Chevrolet Nova. This ’69 Nova is a bit of a sleeper. From the outside, all you’ll see is a slick coat of burgundy paint, with plain jane steel wheels and hub caps. As long as the car isn’t running, you might be able to convince someone it’s just a base model Nova. It’s not until you crank up this beast that you’ll hear the Merlin block 427 roar and realize this is not your grandpa’s Nova. This Big Block beast runs GM aluminum cylinder heads and manifold. It has a Crower crank, roller rockers, forged rods, and of course, a sweet sounding set of headers. This Nova may be hopped up, but the appearance makes it looks factory. Under the hood, you’ll find a mostly stock looking Chevy engine bay from the orange block paint, to the chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid. Without he headers, you’d think it came from the factory that way. Inside you’ll find a factory style interior which is in great shape and features bucket seats as well as a center console to house the 4-speed shifter. This is a nicely documented build with most invoices from the engine build. It is a street car and has not been raced, although it could probably handle a drag strip quite well. You can see this awesome 1969 Chevrolet Nova in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

2005 Honda S2000

2005 Honda S2000

Engine: 2.2L I4 DOHC 16V
Transmission: 6-Speed Manual
Mileage: 28,086 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a stunning 2005 Honda S2000. The S2000 is one of Honda’s most notable vehicles. A two-seat roadster with aggressive styling, and high-performance abilities; there’s no surprise this vehicle has become a bit of a cult classic. The S2000 name comes from the S500, S600, and S800 roadsters of the 1960s. In this case, the 2000 designates a 2 Liter 4 cylinder which was introduced with the S2000. A second generation starting in 2004 referred to as the “AP2” bumped up the displacement to 2,157cc which was good for 237 horsepower. Backing the dual overhead cam V-Tec 4 cylinder up front is a silky smooth 6 speed manual transmission which delivers power to the rear axle. This layout is a favorite for driving enthusiasts, and some S2000s have been converted to track vehicles thanks to their power, handling, and reliability. This particular ’05 has had a much easier life. With only 28,086 miles, it’s clear this has been a fair weather secondary car. The unique color is “Suzuka Blue” which refers to Suzuka Japan where the car was produced. Suzuka is also home to a race track which is owned by Honda called Suzuka International Racing Course. These Japanese sports cars are becoming highly collectible and it’s clear why. They’re great looking, fast, and extremely reliable. This 2005 AP2 Honda S2000 would make a great collector’s piece. Whether you’re a sports car collector, or new to the sports car hobby, this would be a great choice. You can see this S2000 in greater detail in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
