1940 Buick Special Coupe

1940 Buick Special Coupe

Engine: 248 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 46,785 ( undocumented )

Our Atlanta Showroom is proud have this 1940 Buick Special Coupe for sale. The Buick Straight-eight engine (Fireball 8) was produced from 1931 to 1953 and sold in Buick automobiles, replacing the Buick Straight-6 engine across the board in all models in 1931. Like many American automobile makers, Buick adopted the straight-8 engine in 1931 as a more powerful alternative to the previous engines. However, unlike most other car makers at the time, Buick had been using a valve-in-head/OHV overhead valve design or I-head since its inception and continued this practice in their inline-8 designs. When introduced in 1940 the new Series 50 Super featured the cutting-edge "torpedo" C-body. When combined with a column mounted shift lever the cars offered true six passenger comfort, changes that had clearly been influenced by the Cadillac Sixty Special. The basic formula for the 1940 to 1952 Super was established by mating the Roadmaster's longer behind the engine cowl body to the Series 40 Special's smaller straight-eight engine and consequently shorter engine compartment. This led to an economical combination of voluminous passenger room and relatively good fuel economy. This 2 door model had a frame off restoration about 10 years ago. The car was completely disassembled stripped and repainted. The owner laid down 12k to paint this time capsule and put in all new rubber, glass, chrome wheels, new interior with high quality leather, and all new brakes. There was over $50,000 invested in the restoration. The Buick starts, runs, drives, and stops like it should. 1949 MG TC

1949 MG TC

Engine: 76.3ci/54hp
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,574 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Atlanta showroom is this 1949 MG TC. This car will give you the full experience of fine British motoring. The red interior and red exterior shows how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is un-restored and in original condition with matching numbers and only 31921 miles. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Twin SU- semi-down draught carburetors, 1250cc 4 cylinders and 54.4hp at 5200rmp puts you right in the middle of what it means to drive. It has always been garage kept in its 67 years of life with just a few minor paint imperfections which are expected because of it age. She is a real head turner. The TC Midget was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite similar to the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200 rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include: Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top. 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

Engine: 6.2L V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 67,987 ( undocumented )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. The design was a major departure from its predecessor, the Silver Cloud, and aside from a more modern appearance, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc rather than drum brakes, monocoque construction, and independent rear suspension, rather than the outdated live axle design of previous cars. The Shadow featured a 172 hp 6.2 L V8 from 1965 to 1969, and a 189 hp 6.75 L V8 from 1970 to 1980. Both powerplants were coupled to a General Motors-sourced Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, except on pre-1970 right-hand-drive models, which used the same 4-speed automatic gearbox as the Silver Cloud. The car's most innovative feature was a high-pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroën, with dual-circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension. At first, both the front and rear of the car were controlled by the system; the front levelling was deleted in 1969 as it had been determined that the rear levelling did almost all the work. With this arrangement, Rolls-Royce achieved a high degree of ride quality. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, power windows, power steering, power brakes, leather interior, and seat belts, To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1982 Chevrolet Corvette

1982 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 57,822 ( undocumented )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. In 1980, the Corvette received an integrated aerodynamic redesign that resulted in a significant reduction in drag. After several years of weight increases, 1980’s Corvettes were lighter as engineers trimmed both body and chassis weight.[14] In mid-1981, production shifted from St. Louis, Missouri to Bowling Green, Kentucky, the current home of the iconic of American sports car. The 1981 models were the last available with a manual transmission until well into the 1984 production run. The coke bottle design body is never more present in the 1982 body and epitomizes the shape like no other car. The last of the body style and if you gals name for Stacy or Patty, you will remember the time of the early 1980’s in this ride. When you look over the hood and feel the fighter laid back cockpit you will be transported to a time where the car made the driver. The options include: Power steering, power brakes, AC, power windows, automatic transmission, T-tops, alloy wheels, seat belts, AM/FM radio, and radial tires. 1996 Chevrolet Corvette

1996 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 20,222 ( undocumented )

We offer this 1996 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in our Atlanta Showroom. This is a clean car fax one owner corvette ready for a new owner to cruise the streets. The C4 Corvette was known for its evolved, sleek and modern look. In a departure from the fiberglass panels of its forbearers, the C4's rear bumpers and panels were made from molding plastics, a sheet molding compound. The C4 fastback coupe was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback (the limited edition 1982 Collector Edition being the first Corvette equipped with this feature) for better storage access. The Corvette C4 came standard with an electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display dash, with graphics for speed and RPM and digital displays for other important engine functions. The C4 represented a clean break from the previous generation of Corvette with a completely new chassis and modern, sleeker styling. Since emissions regulations were still changing and electronic engine management was in its infancy, horsepower was, compared to earlier generations, low. Therefore, the primary design emphasis, at least for the launch, was on handling and braking, with all-independent suspension with light-weight suspension and wheels, and all new brakes with aluminum calipers. The front suspension saw the C3's coil springs replaced by a transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring, which was only 1/3 of the weight of the coil springs while also introducing an anti-roll bar-like effect on the front.[4] The price of this no-holds-barred emphasis on handling was ride comfort, especially with the Z51 performance and handling package. The C4 did not use separate body-on-frame construction like its predecessors. Instead, it used what GM termed a "uniframe", which consisted of a traditional perimeter frame, with the door posts, windshield frame, halo, and the rear portion of the floor pan integrated into one welded assembly. This was not a unibody assembly, as none of the exterior body panels were structural members. Due to a styling decision to use a targa top instead of T-tops, there was no structural member tying the windshield frame to the halo as on the C3. This required extremely tall side rails on the frame to maintain chassis rigidity, and as a result, the door sills were quite deep, with entry and exit likened by contemporary auto journals to a "fall in and climb out" experience. The targa top bolted into place, becoming a structural component, rather than simply latching on like T-tops. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, CD Player, Convertible top, cruise control, power brakes, power window, power steering, power locks, tilt wheel, seat belts, driver airbag, passenger airbag, leather interior, radial performance tires, alloy wheels.
